Activision and FreeStyleGames has released the first set of tracks coming to Guitar Hero Live and it's not all to surprising So we've seen the idea behind Guitar Hero Live and what Activision and FreeStyleGames has in the pipeline for us but we all really want to know which rock stars we are going to be pretending to be in the virtual world. Yes the announcement event did give us a couple but we know that there is supposed to be a huge catalog of licenses artists and songs for us to play through. Good news here though as it looks like we can expect updated for Guitar Hero Live track list on a weekly basis and the first 24 artists/songs have been released for us to look at and question. Jason Is Out Of The Lake & Into Mortal Kombat X Now
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Monday, 4th of May 2015 - 09:00 PM ]
We have been given our first look at Jason in Mortal Kombat X's first DLC pack out tomorrow, or next week depending on your purchase The first major character DLC for Mortal Kombat X is on the verge of launch and now we have a great look at Jason Voorhees getting into the mix of the game. Yes this is the slasher from the Friday The 13th franchise for those who may have been under a rock for the last 30+ years and have no clue who that is. At least in this version we will see NetherRealm's take on the horror icon for Mortal Kombat X. Hopefully he is as brutal as he has been over the decades but I guess the hope is no more as we have that look at him I guess… Of course with a new character for Mortal Kombat X has been a new Kombat Kast to help cover the character and show off all of his variations. Night Terrors Could Become Your Reality… In Your Own Home
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Thursday, 30th of April 2015 - 09:00 PM ]
A new Augmented Reality Game, Night Terrors, is trying to raise funds to try and bring real but fake terror into our homes Earlier this week we had the devastation that Silent Hills was canceled so let's get back on a horror highlight with Night Terrors. This would be an augmented reality game that is looking to hit the levels of terror that the prior title mentioned was claiming as well. The big kicker here is that Night Terrors won't be using virtual world interactions to bring the terror. Instead it is slated to get you up and moving about your own home where the ghosts and demons are actually lurking. Read More...

Overkill's The Walking Dead To Be Published On Consoles By 505 Games
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Wednesday, 29th of April 2015 - 07:00 PM ]
It looks like 505 Games will be bringing Overkill's The Walking Dead to the PS4 and Xbox One when it launches in 2016 Not the biggest or most shocking news here but it looks like Overkill's The Walking Dead will be coming to consoles through 505 Games. They will be known for working together in the past for the Pay Day titles as well as the critically acclaimed, on this site, Naughty Bear. This of course all makes perfect sense given the fact that Overkill's The Walking Dead will be another Pay Day-like title and the two have worked well to bring those titles already so it was most likely the safe bet that this was going to happen sooner or later. Now they have a lot of time to run some amazing ad campaigns like they did for Naughty Bear. Read More...

Just Cause 3 Has A New Gameplay Trailer To Blow Your Mind Up
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Tuesday, 28th of April 2015 - 07:00 PM ]
Avalanche Studios has released our first look at the gameplay for Just Cause 3 as well as a release window of this holiday season It's been teased and spoken of before now but we now have the first gameplay trailer for Just Cause 3. Not only the gameplay trailer but also a release window for the game on PS4, Xbox One, and PC. That time frame being "holiday 2015" to have a huge shocker here. As if we haven't been able to pretty much figure that out yet given the little we have seen already for Just Cause 3 up to now and how little Avalanche Studios has given us in terms of general game information. A new behind the scenes video for Guitar Hero Live has been released to show a bit of the magic going into Guitar Hero Live If you are like me then you might have been curious as to how FreeStyleGames has accomplished the large venue crowds for Guitar Hero Live. We've seen them in the trailers and announcements for the game so far and it looks like they have captured the large audiences that come with being a rock star. It is about time that we try and break that illusion for you well before Guitar Hero Live hits the shelves and we get to pretending with the best of them. That is one of the things that are covered in the latest video for Guitar Hero Live after all. Read More...

Have Some More Mad Max Images To Punch You In The Eyes
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Tuesday, 21st of April 2015 - 05:00 PM ]
A few new screenshots for Mad Max have made their way online for us all to look at in awe as 'Mad Max' beats down his enemies September 1st just doesn't seem like it is going to get here fast enough so I can play Mad Max. It just won't and I don't think any level of complaining is going to rush Avalanche Studios to try and push the release date any closer. They already bypassed the need to have Mad Max out around the same time the film is hitting so at least we know that they are trying to take the time to make the game amazing and its own thing. As Mad Max should be. Read More...

A New Look At The Vast Empty Of Everybody's Gone To The Rapture
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Friday, 17th of April 2015 - 09:01 PM ]
Thirteen more minutes of gameplay for Everybody's Gone To The Rapture have been released to show off the vastness of the game's world and AI Yesterday we had a nice little look at the tone of Everybody's Gone To The Rapture as well as a bit more to the soundtrack of the game. Santa Monica Studios and The Chinese Room are really hitting that loneliness angle home here as even the gameplay we have only shows how big the game's world will be and how empty it will be. You know, because Everybody's Gone To The Rapture. There shouldn't be too many humans still running around the Earth and all right? Read More...

Want More Info On Guitar Hero Live? Of Course You Do
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Friday, 17th of April 2015 - 05:01 PM ]
Activision and FreeStyleGames have released the entire Guitar Hero Live press announcement for all of our viewing pleasure Did you feel like there should have been more to the Guitar Hero Live announcement earlier this week? I know I should felt like there should have been a bit more. Especially since some of the other "buy-able" outlets were already talking about their impressions on having played with the new guitar controller for the game. Well as many of these big publishers do, Activision held a rather sizable event to show off Guitar Hero Live to the press before the official announcement to get them all prepped. Now, that presentation is out and available for us all to view and pretend to be a member of the press pretending to be rock stars with Guitar Hero Live. Read More...

Time To Join The Trans-Galactic Tournament A F2P MOBA On PS4
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Thursday, 16th of April 2015 - 07:01 PM ]
We now have our first look at Trans-Galactic Tournament, a free to play MOBA coming for the PS4 from Kiz Studios I can hear the groans already coming for Trans-Galactic Tournament as we have the words Free-To-Play and MOBA being thrown around for this new PS4 game. If you can try to look past all of that for a moment you may be able to see the game that Kiz Studios is working that should really be labeled "What if the Star Wars cantina starred in an 80’s cartoon, which suddenly broke out into a football match, which suddenly broke out into WrestleMania?" I only really see a little of any of that in the following gameplay trailer for Trans-Galactic Tournament but maybe I am already jaded by the original label that comes with the stigma for free. To be honest Trans-Galactic Tournament sounds to be a lot like your standard MOBA style games. Read More...

by David 'Hades' Becker [ Tuesday, 14th of April 2015 - 05:00 PM ]
Following yesterday's tease, Activision and FreeStyleGames have announced Guitar Hero Live to be the next reboot to the popular franchise Hot off the tease from yesterday we now officially have Guitar Hero Live and it is looking to reboot the franchise with some new features and a new peripheral for the game. We'll dig into all of that in a moment but here we have it; Guitar Hero Live is coming to the PS3, PS4, Xbox 360, Xbox One, Wii U, Android, and iOS platforms sometime later this year. My money would be on late October or early November to compete with Rock Band 4 as well as get all of those holiday sales a little bit early. Read More...

It's Time To Choose A Faction For The Mortal Kombat X Faction War
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Friday, 10th of April 2015 - 09:00 PM ]
How about a nice and quick breakdown of Mortal Kombat X's faction wars metagame that we will all be partaking in soon? Just when we all thought we were done with the Mortal Kombat X news and updates until sometime after April 14th, they pull us all back in. This time it is with another look at the Faction Wars that will be going on behind the scenes as well as in our faces once NetherRealm is able to get those servers online. The Faction War is the metagame that will be going on as everyone plays Mortal Kombat X online or offline by contributing "faction points" for finishing parts of the game or challenges set out by the studio. This has all been glossed over before in the past but not much in the way of seeing things has been available. Read More...
