Review: New Super Mario Bros. Wii
by Brian Bentley [ Tuesday, 8th of December 2009 - 03:55 PM ]
You know the storyline.  You know the tricks.  But how is it still so fun?  New Super Mario Bros. Wii is another smash hit in a long line of Mushroom Kingdom mayhem courtesy of Nintendo.  Staying with their desire for accessibility, Nintendo took all the ideas and concepts that made the original Super Mario Bros. 2D platforming franchise a success and used that as the base for New Super Mario Bros. Wii. Read More...

Aggrocast Episode Fifty One: No GNitro? No Problem...we think
by Brian Bentley [ Wednesday, 25th of November 2009 - 05:28 PM ]
The crew is back minus Michael as he is in the land of the Crimson Tide. Brian and Binh are joined once again by Shannon (moepower). They talk about how much they miss Mike, give a lot of love to Oblivion and have a discussion about GameInformer magazine's top 200 video games of all time. We also discuss the games we have been playing (or not playing in Shannon's case), including Lego Rock Band, Torchlight, New Super Mario Bros. Wii, Modern Warfare 2 and more. On Bargain Binh this week, Binh rolls out the doorbusters you must hit on Black Friday, On the DL has Brian gushing more love on a casual game that finally made it to the PSN, and Shannon pulls a hilarious TV series for the Netflix Pix. Aggrocast Episode Fifty: One Moe Time
by Michael Camacho [ Thursday, 19th of November 2009 - 03:17 AM ]
The crew is here and celebrating their 50th episode. To kick off the celebration the right way, we brought back Michael's old co-host, Moepower (Shannon). We started off the episode perfectly as Shannon revealed her 360 just RRODed as we began the show. We then go ahead and check out what we've been playing, to include Dragon Age, Torchlight, New Super Mario Brothers and a lengthy discussion on Modern Warfare 2. Bargain Binh brings us a PlayStation 3 exclusive for just under $25, Brian takes on the DL, highlighting Nintendo's recent decision to release WiiWare demos, and Michael brings Korean Horror to Netflix Pix. Shannon divulges her own Netflix Pix, bringing an anime classic to the table. Read More...

Capcom Forgot How To Count Again
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Tuesday, 29th of September 2009 - 07:45 PM ]
Oh Capcom you were doing so well with the counting again. You started with Resident Evil going to four and then five. THen you continued with Street Fighter and Dead Rising, both going four and two respectfully. It was looking like the past of Super Ultra Directors Cut of an earlier title rehashed as a new title had gone the way of the dodo in your eyes. You were kicking out full and new games. Then you go and ruin it with this. Read More...

E3 Impressions: New Super Mario Bros. Wii
by Brian Bentley [ Monday, 8th of June 2009 - 09:34 PM ]
A new Mario game was anticipated by the crowd as we all filed into the Nintendo E3 Media Briefing last Tuesday.  Many, including myself, were looking for a new Super Mario Galaxy, which we did receive.  That was not until much later in the show.  Well before that announcement was the announcement of the New Super Mario Bros. Wii.  More of a party game than a solo adventure, though it could be played that way, New Super Mario Bros. Read More...

Going #1 on the Wii...
by Stephanie Naboshek [ Tuesday, 1st of April 2008 - 01:45 PM ]
So I normally don't write two articles in an hour, but I just checked my email, and this was featured in my Thinkgeek.com Newsletter... SUPER Pii Pii brothers is a crazy, imported Japanese game for the Wii that requires you to... well... wee!! Complete loads of mini games by attaching your Wii-mote into the support harness provided and AIM AWAY!! Score extra points by tinkling on cats and other fun creates who pop out of the urinals and lose points for getting too much on the floor. Verse your friends in the fun multi-player mode and if the humiliation wasn't enough, just the mere ability to say you own Super Pii Pii Brothers is worth the $34. Read More...

by Alyssa Porter [ Saturday, 8th of March 2008 - 12:38 AM ]
GameStop is finally releasing the anxiously awaited Nintendo Wii game Super Smash Bros. Brawl this Sunday (3/9/08), but they have put a new twist on to the midnight release, a countrywide tournament. This tournament, which is free to play in, is absolutely huge! There are 45 pages of participating first round stores from all over the United States, which basically means that this is probably going to be one of the biggest tournaments ever. This tournament has four rounds. GameStop will be flying the eight semifinalists to San Jose, California to compete in the fourth and final round at their brand new tournament center and store. UFC Nintendo Style At GameStop
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Thursday, 6th of March 2008 - 05:49 PM ]
SSB:Brawl Biggest Tournament At GameStop I know I've talked about it the few times I've been in the ShoutBox and once on the Forums, but here is the release event to end all release events, at least for now. But it looks like they are promoting even further a game that has already hit over 2 million pre-orders already. Awesome right? Well you will get to play the game before the actual US street release, at least for a few hours before you get to take it home with you. Read More...
