Review — Spirit Of The North: Enhanced Edition
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Friday, 4th of December 2020 - 10:00 PM ]
Observer We sit down and review Spirit Of The North. A journey through the Icelandic lands for a new generation. Here is our review of Spirit Of The North It has been a while since Spirit Of The North first released and some of us out there had a chance to experience it. It is a very atmospheric title that has us solving puzzles along with some beautiful landscapes. Something that Infuse Studio set out to make look just as pretty as it was engaging. Since then, we have seen the launch of the PS5 and that means that things could be getting prettier and we have a new reason to check back in on the game. Read More...

Spirit Of The North Has An Enhanced Edition Coming For The PS5
by Julia Schoebel [ Tuesday, 27th of October 2020 - 05:00 PM ]
Spirit Of The North Spirit Of The North is heading to the next generation with the announcement of the Spirit Of The North: Enhanced Edition The PS5 will have its full version of Spirit Of The North after the console launch, and we are not talking about it in the way of an update from the PS4 as many of the other games will be getting. This will not just be an update that will make the game run on the new system but an edition that will upgrade all of the visuals and the ability to see the game run in glorious 60 fps. Not something that we have ever seen for this one and it makes me excited to see the Spirit Of The North: Enhanced Edition drop on November 26th digitally and then a physical edition of the game on December 4th. This Week In Video Games 2/24/20 — 2/28/20
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Saturday, 29th of February 2020 - 12:00 AM ]
Video Games A lot has gone on this week in video games. Here is a recap of what we covered in the world of video games on the site this week What a week this has been for all of those announcements for our video games and their DLCs. We have not even been able to dive into PAX East fully as of yet, so there is bound to be a whole lot more to come here soon. Maybe more for Cyberpunk 2077 and Resident Evil in some form? That could be the hope to keep up with other video games like Baldur’s Gate 3 and Predator: Hunting Grounds, which also had a nice outing this week in terms of fun new information. Read More...

Fuser Is The Next Rhythm Game To Let Us Mix Things Up
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Thursday, 27th of February 2020 - 10:00 PM ]
Fuser A new rhythm game, Fuser, is announced from Harmonix with Fuser having us play DJ without the need of getting more peripherals There is proof that the rhythm game genre is not dead and shows no signs of dying anytime soon, as we now have the announcement of Fuser to look at. This is the next title in the mix from Harmonix that will have us playing with and mixing up songs from many different genres to enjoy all of the sounds. As the name suggests, Fuser will have us fusing together various songs in a catalog to craft one master song. More or less we are going to get to play DJ yet again. Read More...

Why So Serious?
by Matt Waitt [ Tuesday, 23rd of October 2012 - 10:27 PM ]
I think the Joker summed up the past few years of video games quite well, with his famous saying "Why So Serious!?" It seems that today's industry has dropped the light-hearted and comical games of yester-years for a more gritty, hardcore, and serious tone. While I'm not saying these "serious" games are bad, I am saying that a break from them would be much appreciated. Video games are not all about world wars, political sabotaging, or saving the world from a cliché ultimate evil. We came from a very humble beginning, a beginning of stomping on weird brown monsters, using rainbows to squash bugs, and controlling fat pink things that suck up anything in their path. Read More...

Overstrike Is Now Fuse
by Matt Waitt [ Tuesday, 11th of September 2012 - 06:30 PM ]
Overstrike, a four player co-op game developed by Insomniac Games and Published by EA has had its name changed recently. Yep, Overstrike is now called Fuse, with a recently released teaser trailer that gives an extremely dark vibe over the funny, light hearted trailer released at last year's E3. I'm not too concerned with the darker trailer simply because it's a teaser. If it was a full length trailer that had eliminated all of the light stuff and was completely serious, then I would have had an issue. I guess I am just experiencing shooter fatigue because just about every FPS and Action game that has come out recently has been super serious. Read More...
