Enter The Deep Freeze In Kholat's Latest Gameplay Trailer
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Tuesday, 5th of May 2015 - 09:00 PM ]
A new environment for psychological horror title, Kholat, has been released to show us a bit more of the isolation to expect It's been some time since we last saw anything for Kholat and it looks like we may need to wait a bit more. That's not to say that the most recent trailer that IMGN.PRO has given us, it can be seen below, hasn't shown off some amazing new area in the game, it just doesn't given any more clue as to what is going on outside of the exploration in the game. Kholat is a storytelling based game and I am still at a loss as to what the story is even slightly. At least it will have some nice looking scenery and that feeling of isolation down pat when it launches on Steam and our PCs on June 10th. Read More...

Time For A Naughty Dog History Lesson
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Tuesday, 23rd of December 2014 - 10:00 PM ]
Naughty Dog is celebrating their 30th anniversary and the developer and PlayStation have a nice video to help educate you on where they came from If you just thought to yourself "I don't need a history lesson for Naughty Dog" then you are most likely the largest fan of the developer or you're an employee of theirs. They have had a long 30 year run that has been pushed and promoted pretty much all year. Now we get it pushed again as we have a nice long history lesson that shows you a 50 minute recap of where Naughty Dog started and are going here in the coming years. Read More...

Telltale Is Working On Minecraft: Story Mode Now?
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Thursday, 18th of December 2014 - 08:00 PM ]
Telltale and Mojang tried to hide a Minecraft: Story Mode announcement in a game but it looks like we are getting it Hey look, just what all those Minecraft players want; a story mode. No? Well Telltale and Mojang are now officially working on Minecraft: Story Mode just for all of you out there who truly want some kind of story behind all of the mindless hours of tree punching. My whole experience with Minecraft should be obviously only based on what was shown on South Park so I have no clue if there is more to the game than that. All I know is that there is no Minecraft 2 announcement but a Minecraft: Story Mode announcement here. Read More...

Follow The Path To Understand What Kholat Is All About
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Wednesday, 29th of October 2014 - 07:00 PM ]
Kholat is a new FPP storytelling title announced from IMGN.PRO studios and we have the first trailer for the game I'm not even going to try and pronounce Kholat but that doesn't mean that the new title doesn't look at all too shabby. It looks like it could be something that we all write home to mom about as we wouldn't want to try and butcher the name with a call. Hopefully the Polish developer IMGN.PRO will expand upon that as we move forward with their Q1 2015 PC release title. Read More...

A New Trailer Has Come Out Showcasing The Basic Story Of Dead Rising 3 Here we go with another Story Time and this time we dive into Dead Rising 3. Why not? It is coming out here shortly with the Xbox One and deserves to show us what it has. Right? I am saying so, so it shall be. Let's see what this one and a half clip has to show us. Wait, the Dead Rising 3 story trailer is only a minute and a half? Less than that if we take off the logo and "only on Xbox One" that are always slapped on as well. Read More...

by Brian Bentley [ Wednesday, 10th of August 2011 - 05:17 PM ]
Mobile gaming has come a long way in terms of game design and depth. One of the leading developers in this area is Kairosoft. Their first big hit, Game Dev Story, turned a lot of heads, gaining critical acclaim for their simulation of running a video game development studio. Their latest release on the Android platform is Grand Prix Story – a simulation of running an automobile racing team. Start your smart phones! You start out by choosing your racing team’s name. So What Is Up With The Story Of F.3.A.R.
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Friday, 1st of April 2011 - 06:04 PM ]
It has been a bit since we've had some good and solid updates for F.3.A.R. I guess it is time to get another look and a story trailer. Thank you Warner Bros. and Day 1 Studios for giving us just that. STORY TIME! Looks like someone has some serious "mommy issues." Not to mention that they look to have lead to some even deeper and twisted results besides becoming a man-whore. That's what happens isn't it? Like the opposite of a girl having "daddy issues? Zurg Invasion of Toy Story 3 Video Game
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Wednesday, 16th of June 2010 - 12:56 PM ]
No, I'm not talking the Zerg from Starcraft. They spell their name with an 'u' and not an 'e'. Not to mention they are a lot less "emperor"y. So if you are still thinking that, then you need to re-watch the films or the below video clip. A clip that shows how you will be able to play Buzz's archenemy in the PS3 version of Toy Story 3: The Video Game. It is no surprise, since it was announced a while ago, that Zurg will be playable in the PS3 version of Toy Story 3. But what was not fully touched on was how playable he is. Read More...

The Week In Nintendo (3/22/10)
by Binh Nguyen [ Tuesday, 23rd of March 2010 - 04:45 PM ]
So since last week we had a comment about posting more XBox 360 DLC, I tried to do just that and this is what I found. Nothing. Well besides a over priced DLC for Modern Warfare 2. Anyways. In This Week In Nintendo, they bring to you a freeware that came out in 2004 for the PC call Cave Story. A world where rabbit-like creatures roam the world. Now if you aren't thinking about killer rabbits then I don't know what to say to you. Other than that there are five new titles for the Nintendo DSi for you to enjoy on the go. Read More...

Can't Gamers Play With Themselves Anymore?
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Thursday, 13th of August 2009 - 07:48 PM ]
Multiplayer: The Book Burning Generation The other night I was driving home at 1 am with the God of War soundtrack playing in the car. As the game music, with mixed in audio clips from the game, was playing through my car speakers, I began to think on how truly epic the story of this game was. Not epic as in awesome, even though it is, but more in lines of how it actually fell in line with the Epic writings of the Greeks. Think the Odyssey and Iliad for what I mean. It soon sparked in my head on how games like this are looking to be a bit more few and far between in the current state of things. Read More...

Time To Travel Back Into Time
by Binh Nguyen [ Monday, 10th of August 2009 - 10:23 PM ]
From the articles I have written or hearing me on the Aggrocast, you probably know I'm excited for a little title called Darkest of Days. Well today independent game developer, 8monkey Labs, and Phantom EFX, a leading developer and publisher of entertainment software, has announced today that on August 11th 2009 a demo of Darkest of Days will be available on the PC. Aaron Schurman, Chief Executive Officer at Phantom EFX had this to say: "Custer's infamous last stand at the Battle of Little Big Horn, and the Battle of Antietam, the bloodiest day in American history… these are just a few of humanity’s darkest days, and you can dive into both of these in the Darkest of Days demo. This hour-long demo lets players experience unrivaled carnage and to experience what it’s like to use futuristic weapons in period settings and see what happens when you alter history while fighting against hundreds of enemies during some of man's greatest struggles in History! Mass Effect: Galaxies Review
by Kevin [ Friday, 26th of June 2009 - 02:03 AM ]
Mass Effect Galaxies, formerly Mass Effect: Jacob's Story, is an iPhone game developed by Bioware to offer fans of the franchise a little more in the way of mythology and action. It's a top down shooter with a great deal of personality for such a tiny title. It is not required to enjoy the series, but playing the game does give you insight into more of what is going on with characters you will encounter in the highly anticipated sequel, Mass Effect 2, Jacob and Miranda. Many of the same options in the 'higher end titles' appear here, including biotic powers and branching conversation trees. Unfortunetly, using the branching conversation mechanic here does not seem to have as much weight as it does in the aformentioned big brother to this game. Read More...

The First Black Video Game Character
by Kevin [ Tuesday, 20th of January 2009 - 02:53 PM ]
So over at Vintage Computing and Gaming they discuss, what could possibly be, the first video game character of color."Tomorrow, the United States will inaugurate its first black president, Barack Obama. In honor of this watershed moment in American history, I thought we should pay tribute to another African-American trailblazer: the first black video game character. After exhaustive research, I believe I’ve found him.Thirty years ago (1979), the first obviously black video game character appeared in Basketball, programmed by Alan Miller for the Atari 800 home computer.
