Lunar Silver Star Story Remake Coming To PSP Lunar: Silver Star Story (Lunar: Harmony of Silver Star in Japan) has been slated for a new remake, this time being released on the Sony PSP. Originally released in 1992 on the Mega CD in Japan, and then brought to the U.S. by Working Designs to the Sega CD, it eventually saw a re-release on the Sony Playstation.

The new version of the game will be fully remastered with updated graphics, music and video at an unprecedented quality. There will also be new storyline content included, adding on four new scenarios for our hero. The screens that have been released thus far show a very crisp and clean look to the game, and definitely shows the dedication to bringing this game to life once again.

This is great news for fans of the series, and a wonderful chance for those who missed out on the previous releases to check out a classic Japanese RPG. Bringing it to the PSP also helps, as it will be a great game to take with you on the go and long trips.

Look for it some time to release in Japan this fall, and hopefully we will hear an announcement on this title releasing in the U.S. by the end of the year. Here's to hoping a company like ATLUS or NIS pick up the publishing rights for a North American release.
