Video Games A lot has gone on this week in video games. Here's a recap of what we covered in the world of video games Another week down and even more video games to have been discussed. We've gone past the tail end of Gamescom and are still recovering from that just before we move on to PAX again. More and more video games and less and less time. That is also if we want to ignore all of the new games coming like Mafia 3, BioShock: The Collection, and Final Fantasy XV. Read More...

by David 'Hades' Becker [ Wednesday, 24th of August 2016 - 05:00 PM ]
Ratchet & Clank Ratchet & Clank has recently hit the small screens of home with new content. We had a chance to sit down and break the film down piece by piece. Here is our review of Ratchet & Clank Maybe you remember back when Ratchet & Clank first came out and that there was a feature film that was slated to launch with it. It did launch in theaters shortly after the video game's launch and Insomniac Games had its IP all over the place for a short time. As films always do, Ratchet & Clank left the big screen and we were left with only the video game to keep us coming. Read More...

Ratchet & Clank's Story Will Be A Bit Different Than We Thought
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Wednesday, 23rd of March 2016 - 05:00 PM ]
Ratchet & Clank A new story trailer for Ratchet & Clank has been released and it looks like it will be a bit different than the Ratchet & Clank film's story but for good reasons Up to now the joke about Ratchet & Clank's story has been that it is a game based on a film based on a game. Insomniac Games has been very upfront about that in all of their promotions and interviews so there is no surprise there. But it looks like things may be a bit different in terms of story between the game and the film that the game is based on. Hopefully you can follow along with all of that as plain and simple the PS4 very of Ratchet & Clank's story is going to deviate in quite some ways than the film's. Read More...

Get Ready To Dance With Ratchet & Clank This April
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Wednesday, 13th of January 2016 - 06:00 PM ]
Ratchet & Clank The release date for Ratchet & Clank has been set and we have some more groovy Ratchet & Clank gameplay footage to get us all pumped for the reboot If you were wondering about any of the similarities that the Ratchet & Clank film will have to the reboot video game then you can add the release date to the mix of things as it look like we are set for and April 12th release date for the PS4 title. Of course as this is a reboot and not a remastering of the original Ratchet & Clank we have more to look forward to from Insomniac Games for this new game than just pretty new graphics. Some of which will be set by the film and game to reset the origin story that many PlayStation fans have grown to love. Read More...

New & Groovy Gameplay Footage For Ratchet & Clank Shown Off
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Monday, 2nd of November 2015 - 06:00 PM ]
Ratchet & Clank Some new gameplay footage for Ratchet & Clank has been released and it shows off some of the new and classic weapons of Ratchet & Clank First we have a new trailer for the Ratchet & Clank movie and now we have a bit more of the gameplay for the title that Insomniac Games is currently working on to go along with the film's release. Of course that doesn't mean that we should be looking forward to nothing but a film tie-in for Ratchet & Clank but some form of a decent game for the PS4. Of course you can be the judge of that yourself as it looks like we have some new gameplay footage for Ratchet & Clank in the form of what looks like basic B-roll most likely for Paris Games Week. There Is Going To Be A Ratchet & Clank Film Tie-In Game
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Wednesday, 10th of June 2015 - 07:00 PM ]
The first trailer for the Ratchet & Clank tie-in game for the Ratchet & Clank film based off the Ratchet & Clank franchise has been released with great humor The title kind of says it all but we have our first look at the Ratchet & Clank game for the PS4 that will be launching sometime along with the Ratchet & Clank film next year. The film of course is hitting theaters on April 29th of 2016 and seeing as this game is linked to the events and story that the film will be portraying it will be safe to assume that Insomniac Games will be wrapping it up and sending it out for packaging at least sometime around then. That does make perfect sense does it not? Read More...

Insomniac Games Sure Knows How To Celebrate 20 Years In Business
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Wednesday, 26th of March 2014 - 05:01 PM ]
Insomniac Games is celebrating their 20th anniversary in a grunge style tribute music video. With all of the closures and layoffs that have been all over the news in the last few months it is reassuring to hear that Insomniac Games has made it 20 years running now. Yea, it's crazy to think that we got Disruptor and Spyro just about twenty years ago. Hells, it is crazy to think that 1994 is just about twenty years ago. Don't we all feel a bit old now? New PSP Go Promotion Gives New Owners Free Games
by 345 [ Wednesday, 2nd of June 2010 - 01:15 PM ]
A new promotion was announced on the PlayStation Blog yesterday for the PSPGo. Anyone who buys the handheld from now until March 31st, 2011 will receive three free game vouchers. The games included are: Ratchet & Clank: Size Matters, SOCOM: Fireteam Bravo 3, and Little Big Planet. Overall this is a solid set of games, but unfortunately the SCEA bundle pales in comparison with the SCEE deal, as anyone in Europe who buys a PSPGo gets 10 free games with their purchase. This offer pretty much confirms that we won't likely be hearing about a PSP2 anytime soon, and more importantly it shows that SCEA is still doing an incredibly awful job at marketing the PSPGo in the US. This is evident as there is still no price drop in sight for the PSPGo. Read More...

Review: Ratchet and Clank Future: A Crack in Time
by Ben Brody [ Wednesday, 4th of November 2009 - 01:59 PM ]
Ratchet and Clank has enjoyed a really good run these past 7 years, and A Crack in Time is a great cap to the "future" series. In what may be the final game in the series, Ratchet must rescue Clank from Dr. Nefarious (the villain from Up Your Arsenal, the third game in the series). Before we get in to deep, let's get a quick glance back at the Future trilogy thus far. In Tools of Destruction, an evil tyrant named Tachyon set out to revenge against the Lombax's for destroying his race. This is the first hint we get that Ratchet isn't the last Lombax in the galaxy. Ratchet and Clank Return to PS3
by Jesse [ Thursday, 26th of March 2009 - 10:58 PM ]
“The Quest Continues in Fall 2009…” This was the phrase that teased a coming sequel following the end of Ratchet and Clank Future: Quest for Booty. Today we know exactly what those words mean. Okay so maybe we don’t know exactly, but at least there’s a title. Insomniac Games unveiled the logo for their upcoming R&C title Ratchet and Clank Future: A Crack in Time. Though there aren’t any details at this time, I’d say it’s safe to assume we’ll see A Crack in Time tie in with the previous two R&C games. One interesting point though is that the title logo looks to be cut from a larger image. Read More...
