A screenshot from the upcoming Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain looked real enough to be used for real news This news report has since been updated but it feels more like a PR spin than truly admitting that they screwed up and used an image from Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain to shock people into believing their propaganda or at least listen to what they were saying. "News" outlet RT and show SophieCo were recently covering a story on children soldiers and were speaking to a former child soldier when the camera panned by and showed a scene from the next Kojima game. Like I said, it has since been updated to state that they knew it was from a video game but I have a feeling that is just to save face as something like this could ruin what the discussion was actually about. Oddworld: New 'n' Tasty is being released this week and here is the launch trailer for the game Talk about one of the best blasts from the past coming to PS4. Oddworld: New 'n' Tasty is the most recent HD remastering for Oddworld: Abe's Oddysee and it is releasing tomorrow (7/22) on the PS4 in the North American region. Wednesday (7/23) for all those EU regional people and TBA this year for everyone else who wants to replay one of the games that started my next-gen-now-way-last-gen gaming love. The trailer for The Wolf Among Us' season finale has been released with the dates for us to bring the story to its conclusion Here we go with the ending of the first season of The Wolf Among Us. We have a new trailer for the episode and this time there is no waiting for the release dates as it looks like Telltale just figured that they should release everything all at the same time unlike the many times before. It does seem a bit odd that this episode is coming out before the next episode for The Walking Dead but at least we can see what happens in Fabletown now that 'war' has been declared by the better characters against the weaker. A new video for Kingdom Hearts 2.5 ReMIX has been released and shows off the differences between the SD and new HD versions of all the games Sometimes it takes nice little videos like the following Kingdom Hearts 2.5 ReMIX one to show how far we have advanced in the gaming world over the years. It's been only nine years since Kingdom Hearts II was released and I remember losing my brain when I saw how spectacular those looked back then. Woolfe: The Redhood Diaries to be at Gamescom and playable in the consumer area for the first time to the public If Woolfe: The Redhood Diaries sounds familiar but you can't place your finger on it, it was showcased during the ID@Xbox montage during the Microsoft press conference on June 9th. Some of you may have heard about the game before that, have a free cookie, but to the public at large that was one of the largest showcasing of the game to date. It was announced a little under a year ago so it is pretty cool for the developers to get the showing at E3 and now Woolfe is getting a nice playable version at Gamescom. That might not be all that cool for a lot of us who will not be able to make the adventure to Gamescom, assuming most of my readers are in the North American region of course, but that does mean that we will be seeing more video from Woolfe: The Redhood Diaries soon. Namco Bandai has announced Godzilla coming to the PS3 in Japan this winter No, this isn't a late announcement for Godzilla as the most recent "reboot" has already come and gone from theaters here in North America. It is an announcement for Godzilla that will be coming to PS3s in Japan though. Hopefully in other regions without the need for modding or hacking the hardware but there have been no announcements to date. Early on the 19th of June, Konami and Hideo Kojima showed off the closed doors demo for Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain Good news for all of you who didn't want to take the time to read through my Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain impressions from E3. It looks like Konami and Kojima wanted to cater to all of you who don't have the time to read through some heartfelt words letting you know what I saw for the game. While at E3 I got to see Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain in a more intimate setting than just the trailer. Here's my take on it All of the teases and short shows of Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain can all be put aside now as we were given a new and nice look at the game and features that have yet to be announced or shown in a public form. It also kind of puts the whole demo thing for Ground Zeroes to the side as with what was shown here at E3 was considerably more and with a demo you should get all of the game's mechanics and features. While at E3 I got to see Bloodborne in a more intimate setting than just the trailer. Here's my take on it One of the larger titles named and shown during the Sony press conference was a game called Bloodborne. The next title coming from Japan Studios and From Software for the PS4. You may know them from King's Field and Dark Souls and it looks like Bloodborne is along the same lines here. I had the pleasure of seeing their live gameplay demo on the show floor at E3. I'd be lying if I didn't call myself a Sony Fan-Girl or at least admit that the PlayStation brand has a very special spot in my heart. Oddworld: New 'N' Tasty gets a new E3 trailer to show off how beautiful the HD remake is looking up until now While I am not always the biggest fan of the "HD remake" after seeing the following trailer I can fully get behind Oddworld: New 'N' Tasty here. As memory serves the original Oddworld: Abe's Oddysee looked spectacular using today's standards as a guide. At least if you could take what was on our standard resolution TVs back then and properly upscale it for our new high resolution/4K TVs.
