Aggrocast Episode Eighty-Six: The One Where Brian Hates Everything
by Brian Bentley [ Monday, 29th of August 2011 - 03:40 PM ]
Brian simply hates everything in this podcast - from Game Stop to analog sticks to Kotaku. Well, maybe not everything, but just about. Listen to Corey, David and Brian talk over what exactly is games journalism and whether we consider ourselves to be a part of that group. You'll also hear us touch on the Game Stop / Deus Ex debacle and its affect on our lives. As always, we hit up the Community Spotlight as it once again hits close to home, we carefully dissect eight topics on Care / Don't Care and What You've Been Playing brings you closer with talk on League of Legends, Assassins Creed: Brotherhood and Deus Ex: Human Revolution. Vote for David in Sony PlayStation's The Tester! Read More...

How Do The PSP God Of War Titles Compare To PS3?
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Tuesday, 16th of August 2011 - 09:17 PM ]
When I heard that Sony was going to bundle the two PSP God Of War titles, Chains Of Olympus and Ghost Of Sparta, for the PS3 I was a little upset. I already dropped the cash on these games for the PSP and the PS3 was already out. I thought then, why did they not just make these games on the PS3 and just make them downloadable or cheap disks? After seeing the below comparison, I am even more infuriated that I had to wait to get them in high definition and on my big screen at home. Watch the trailer clip below and tell me that it wouldn't have made sense to just put both of these titles on the PSN or PS3 in the first place. Read More...

by Brian Bentley [ Monday, 20th of June 2011 - 04:37 PM ]

First, they wrap up what they've been playing outside of the show floor - including Dungeon Siege III, Dungeons And Dragons: Daggerdale, Alice: The Madness Returns, Duke Nukem Forever, Final Fantasy III, 4 Elements and of course, Brian's update on how many hours he's put into Persona 4. Our Care/Don't Care segment goes commando with an all-E3 focus, which is also our main topic.  I will say that our talk went on a bit with the sheer number of topics that presented themselves from E3. Time To See How Kratos Will Handle The Mortal Kombat Universe
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Thursday, 24th of March 2011 - 07:28 PM ]
PS3 Mortal Kombat fans have been teased too long with the fact that Kratos will be a console exclusive character. Teased with the knowledge, but nothing as far as substantial in-game footage. That is until now as there is a new trailer out showing some of his moves and animations. Color me impressed with this new view of the character. From the looks of trailer, it is fully upgraded Kratos from God of War III that is know fighting against mortals for the pleasure of Shao Kahn and himself. At least that would be the only reason I can see him fighting in the tournament as Kratos really doesn't seem to care what happens to his world. Read More...

Modern Warfare 3 May Have Been A Hoax, But Battlefield 3 Is Not
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Thursday, 3rd of March 2011 - 06:36 PM ]
So while the Modern Warfare 3 counter was technically a hoax, the rumors that EA was going to bring something to GDC for the announced Battlefield 3 were not. In fact EA brought with them a little bit of game play for all of the FPS fans out there to gush over and whine about how long the wait for the game is going to be. If you just got offended by that, odds are you just thought how long the wait is going to be. Don't lie. Read More...

Could We Be Seeing Modern Warfare 3 At GDC?
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Friday, 25th of February 2011 - 05:22 PM ]
So we are either going to get a look at the next billion dollar game from Activision or one of the best pranks run on fans of the Modern Warfare franchise. A new site, findmakarov.com, has begun to be passed around the net. It doesn't feature anything stating Modern Warfare 3 on it but it does have a countdown with the franchise know font face. Not to mention the site name does link back to the "villain" of Modern Warfare 2. In all actuality, this is most likely a nice little tease for what Activision is going to show off at GDC. Review: Bloodline Champions
by Corey Dockendorf [ Tuesday, 25th of January 2011 - 08:52 PM ]
Bloodline Champions is the latest game from Swedish company Stunlock Studios and Funcom. Before you read any further let's get this question out of the way, "No this is not a DoTA clone." It is an online multiplayer arena based game. This game has no character leveling, power progression and no storyline. Thus making it easy for beginner players to hop into the action but also has enough options to reward the more advanced players. So let's jump into the arena. Read More...

The VGAs Tried To Augment Our Reality. How'd They Do?
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Thursday, 16th of December 2010 - 10:19 PM ]
So being as the VGAs have kind of moved away from being an awards show and are now just another way to sell ad space for gaming companies, you would think they would try to do something to bring gamers' interest back. Am I right? I mean you had the Brütal Legend hour-long ad when Jack Black hosted in 2008. In 2009, the biggest thing I remember was the teaser for Batman: Arkham City and a small attempt to get Samuel L. Jackson linked back into the show. Read More...
