As they are few and far between, here comes another quasi-positive thing from video gamers that needs to be mentioned. With the video game bill trying to stamp out first amendment rights for games, we all need to look and see what these games can do: like bring groups of young adults together for community service. It is somewhat surprising that there was a season two being done considering the lack luster acceptance by the gaming community the last go round, but back it is - for better or worse, depending on your outlook. Successful Launch Of The World's Next Competitive Gaming Site

LOS ANGELES (September 18, 2009) – SODMG Gamers is the next competitive gaming site for video gamers. Now launched, its free closed beta last Monday went extremely well. Receiving thousands of beta account requests and the closed beta received over 325,000 unique page impressions during the first week online. On October 2nd 2009, we will be setting up tournaments only on Xbox live. However SODMG Gamers will be bringing in PS3 as well Nintendo Wii within the coming months for users to compete on those particular consoles to find gamers with similar title likes and battle for prizes, and of course the fun and love for the game!. FTW! Last month World of Warcraft made an announcement that they would be bringing us two new Gamer Fuel flavors of Mountain Dew. Alliance Blue and Horde Red. The official Warcraft site has been posting little about it but no real definite dates. Currently there is a website here with a timer quickly counting down. The mystery is that it says you can start winning tokens and you can enter a chance to win every 15 minutes. At the bottom of the page is your typical "enter e-mail address here" bar. Read More...

$10 Games From Best Buy It's been said a billion times over that we gamers all like to have our habits be cheap. I mean who wouldn't right? What better than getting a load of titles on sale for dirt cheap, comparative to the normal costs? Like 1/5 to 1/6 the normal cost of a normal launch price for a game. If you wouldn't, then throw down that disposable income to people like myself who could always use a little extra scratch. Yes a game based on the Showtime show about a serial killer of killers. Let your mind wrap around that for a second. Got it? Good. Even though they might not look all that graphically impressive or even look to be a killer game, pun intended, one thing to keep in mind, this is an iPhone app game.
