Aggrogamer Presents: 2009 Games of the Year
by Michael Camacho [ Tuesday, 2nd of February 2010 - 07:08 PM ]
When it comes to "Game of the Year" articles, they seem to all come out before the year is over. Is it a rush to be the first, or is it because no games really come out in December? Regardless, we at Aggrogamer decided it was best not to rush so we had time to play those few games that released in December. Everyone deserves a fair shot. We also thought of making just one list of our votes on Game of the Year, but instead settled on everyone coming up with their own lists and to forgo one single title as the Game of the Year. by David 'Hades' Becker [ Monday, 1st of February 2010 - 06:24 PM ]
If you follow the PlayStation Blog or the official Twitter accounts for Sony, you have obviously heard that Sony is doing a reality show for the PSN specifically. A show called The Tester. The premise, eleven "gamers" live together and complete challenges to see who will win the big prize, to be a game tester for Sony. What is slated as the dream job for pretty much any gamer. Right? Dante's Inferno Needed A Montage
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Saturday, 30th of January 2010 - 09:40 PM ]
While not the same montage sequence from Team America, it is none the less as awesome. Just in a different way. One was a comical character build up using marionettes. The other, well a action packed showing of how bad ass Dante is, and will be, through out the game. With Dante's showing him off with all the in game graphics and effects we will be getting here in just over a week. This clip is not all that long, but it will give you a cool feel for what actions and attack Dante will have in his arsenal. If you haven't played the demo all that many times that is. Read More...

A Dead Rising Movie... For Real?
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Saturday, 30th of January 2010 - 03:11 AM ]
Thankfully, it is not being done by Uwe Bole. Un-thankfully, it looks like it will be just a bad Japanese subtitled flick that will have people like me hating subtitles even more. Too much reading when there is so much action going on behind those bogging words. But in any instance, it looks like it is still a go. Here is the trailer for the film, and it looks nothing like I remember from the game at all. Partially because it is only based off the game world and takes place in a separate part of the world and protagonized by two totally different characters. Read More...

How Far Is Heavy Rain Going To Push You?
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Thursday, 28th of January 2010 - 09:58 PM ]
Would you cut off the end of one of your fingers to save your own kid? Could you actually do that? Tough to think about in theory isn't it? But in the intro to this new gameplay trailer for Heavy Rain, this is just what is asked of the game character. All in a very Saw type of way. Very cool and very creepy. But that of course is not all that it shows in this awesome new trailer. It also shows off, in a very movie trailer way, a bunch of the other action and a bit more on the story of the game. Go! Virtua Augment On!
by Kevin [ Thursday, 28th of January 2010 - 05:40 PM ]
You know, with Sony flaunting their wand, Microsoft showcasing Natal, and Nintendo - well, doing what Nintendo does, I should not be as impressed with following video. But I am, and I am more excited about this than any project proclaimed by the previous companies. I see so much more in this than the horrible advertisement videos that Microsoft produces for Natal. This is a demo for some very cool augmented reality technology - watch it, and then tell me that you'd rather play "Microsoft Presents: Avatar Kickball Powered by Natal" more than this. It's Virtual Virtua On with a customized interface to give you the utmost in ARG mechanized warfare. Read More...

Heavy Rain Gets All Virally
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Wednesday, 27th of January 2010 - 02:26 PM ]
With the viral campaign for The Secret World kicking off officially yesterday, why not throw another one into the mix. Right? Sony couldn't be out shined by Funcom, that and this campaign will by up and over in a matter of three weeks. Even though it is called the Four Day Experience. Looks like Capcom helped with the math here. In any instance, if you head over to www.HeavyRain. Read More...

'Action' Packed Heavy Rain Footage
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Monday, 25th of January 2010 - 11:28 PM ]
Hold on to your seats. This latest video clip to hit the internet is going to blow your mind with the action of Quantic Dream's Heavy Rain. Watch as one of the characters goes through their morning ritual of getting ready for the day. The epicness of taking that morning piss. The great hygiene of brushing teeth and shaving. Also all the fun of showering and drying off. Oh, and drinking a bit of orange juice for healthiness. Read More...

The Launch Of Mass Effect 2
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Friday, 22nd of January 2010 - 12:29 AM ]
So the launch of Mass Effect 2 is only a few days away now. So how does BioWare and EA want you to get excited for it? Well in the epic movie trailer type of way. At least this is how it seems from the new trailer for the game that was just unleashed on the gaming community. Man is it an epic video too. Honestly my words won't be able to describe the clip as well as just watching it. But if you still have yet to skip past my words to the video, let me sum it up. Read More...

There Will Be Blood This Wednesday
by Kevin [ Tuesday, 19th of January 2010 - 10:38 PM ]
No, unfortunately, this does not mean that Daniel Day Lewis will be abandoning his child (abandoning his boy), and being a gracious oilman on our next generation consoles. Nay, this deals with the blood that will be spilled via two downloadable titles coming this Wednesday on XBox Live and PSN. Death by Cube (800 ($10)) is a little gem by Square Enix with a story that suggests a sweet abundance of man's most precious videogame resource, violence, "Leo is a robot, one who awakes to find that he has lost his memory. All he knows is that he must reboot the heroine robot, so he sets forth on a mission hoping to regain his memory. To his surprise, he finds the world is now filled with battalions of enemy robots, drenched in bright red oil, and shooting bullets every direction. Read More...

Tekken: The Movie... The Trailer.. From Last Year?
by Kevin [ Monday, 18th of January 2010 - 06:14 PM ]
Surprisingly, there are many out there who are not aware of the Tekken live action film. Not surprisingly, I would consider those people fairly lucky. What's really interesting is that the movie supposedly dropped in the US, LAST NOVEMBER. Does anyone remember this? Essentially, the story was as such: "In the year of 2039, after World Wars destroy much of civilization as we know it, territories are no longer run by governments, but by corporations; the mightiest of which is the Mishima Zaibatsu. In order to keep the masses down, Mishima sponsors the King of Iron Fist Tournament, or Tekken, in which fighters battle until one is left standing, who in turn will receive a lifetime of stardom and wealth. We are introduced to this violent world through the eyes of Jin Kazama, a teenage street fighter who enters the tournament in order to avenge the death of his mother that he blames upon the Mishima Zaibatsu's most powerful and controlling chairman – Heihachi Mishima. by David 'Hades' Becker [ Friday, 15th of January 2010 - 06:00 PM ]
I've bet you been wondering the same thing since hearing about this game haven't you? Haven't you? You have heard about this twisted teddy bear game right? Looks kind of like Fairy Tale Fights with a bit of upgraded 3D graphics and just the same amount of cuddly, twisted humor. You know. Naughty Bear! Well if you haven't, then here's a link for you. It will tell you how the game seems like a mixture of Manhunt and cuddly bears all wrapped into one awesome game. Read More...

Stay on Target...Stay on Target...
by Corey Dockendorf [ Tuesday, 12th of January 2010 - 05:51 PM ]
I'm a Star Wars fan. and I'm also a huge MMO fan.  So since the announcement of Star Wars the Old Republic the MMO, I have been digging and watching everything I can to get anything I can about this game.EA CEO John Riccitiello had a conference call and a press release to update their future fiscal prospect in 2010 yesterday (numbers, numbers, blah, blah, blah).  As you all know EA is a powerhouse this year and has tons of games heading for the shelves this year, and it's going to be hell to catch up with them all (but stay tuned because we will cover them).  John Riccitiello did give us a bit of news that had ears around the internet buzzing:"One key driver is going to be the launch date of our major MMO.
