CES 2010 Impression: Psyko 5.1

Psyko Audio may not be the first to release a 5.1 headset and they certainly will not be the last, but Psyko 5.1 was named one of the CES best of 2009. Does this new headset deserve such a title? Well I decided to give them a visit while I am here at CES 2010 and see how well the headphones are shaping up. I met up with James Hildebrandt, CEO and Head of Psyko Audio, and he gave me the rundown on the headset. CES 2010: Tritton Technologies

Here at CES 2010, we had the opportunity to stop by and visit with Tritton Technologies to see the "next big thing" in gaming headsets. Tritton's Aaron Smith took us around the booth giving us a guided tour of the AX-180, AX-720 and the AX-Pro. He was kind enough to suffer through our questions and a video recording. The did not have their upcoming release of a wireless version of the AX-180 at this show, but look for it at PAX East. EA shutting down multiple online servers

Below is a list of games that will no longer have multiplayer support as of February this year. EA says you can play these titles up until the actual shutdown date. Community programs could shut down earlier, depending on circumstances. A little surprise for you football buffs, Madden 09 is on this list for a February 9th shut down date. What does that mean, that means you're gonna have to shell out some cash for Madden 10 if you want to get online and get your fix.Be sure to note which platforms are being shut down, not all titles are being shut down on all platforms, so make sure you take a good look as to which platforms will no longer be available. Steam Achievements Added to Torchlight

We, as humans, are a competitive, goal-oriented species. The category of humans known as gamers are characteristically more so. So when little goals outside of the main game play were created on platforms this console generation (Achievements on Xbox 360 and Steam, trophies on the PS3), gamers took to them with a ferocity only matched by the public's outrage to the release of Coke 2. The obsession with achievements has grown to the point that people will go out of their way to grind away for hours, simply to have the tiny extrinsic award. As a bit of an afterthought and most likely a reward to the fans, last week Runic Games released over 60 achievements that may be earned on Steam for their critically acclaimed action-RPG Torchlight. On December 12th of ’09, Spike TV held their 7th annual Video Games Award. The Nominees were in, the ballets were turned in and it was time to find out who won. We could go through every award, but we all know we just want to know who won the 2009 Game of the Year. Well the Nominees for Game of the Year were Assassin’s Creed 2, Batman: Arkham Asylum, Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2, Left 4 Dead 2, Uncharted 2: Among Thieves. Dante's Inferno Is Taking The PS3 To Hell Early

So in a time where exclusives can greatly help a console system, as long as the game is going to be a big one, it looks as if Sony just landed themselves half a big fish. Chuck Brings the Pain to Your Mobile Device: Review

One of the few game developers that has never ceased to amaze me is Gameloft. I don't know what their development philosophy is, but it has consistently led to some great gaming experiences on mobile devices. Well it looks like Electronic Arts and Double Fine studios are just pumping out the DLC for all their games by the end of the year. Double Fine Studios just announced Brütal Legend™ Hammer of Infinite Fate which gives players a slew of new swag to add into their gaming experience.First off, Eddie Riggs is getting some new looks. Eddie is gonna rock some new outfits for all you metal heads out there that need a new edge as well as some fixes and patches. An Electrifying Deal: inFamous' Price Cut

For those who have no idea, inFamous was a title released this past spring for the Playstation 3. It was a sandbox game that dropped you in the middle of a war torn city on the verge of social collapse while leading you into an overarching mystery that dealt with the origin on your character, Cole.
