Banjo Tooie Coming to XBLA Next Week

Finally we get the word on the release date for Banjo Tooie on the Xbox Live Marketplace. The bear and birds second adventure will be out next week on Wednesday the 29th for probably the same amount as the original Banjo Kazooie, 1200 Microsoft Points ($15)The game will allow you to swop any of the hidden eggs you found in Banjo Kazooie at Heggy's Hen for brand new moves that were not on the original N64 version. Here's a little video that came out a couple days before Easter that shows you a preview of the stop n swop and where to find any of the eggs in case you missed them. Tekken 6 XBox 360 Title Preview: Spring 2009 Trailer Where did all the fighting go in this fighting game? That was something I though after watching the latest trailer for the console version of Tekken 6. I mean watch the trailer and see. There looks to be more going on than just fighting in this fighting game. People with guns, fat guys moving faster than they really should be able too, you get the picture. What this does look like though is that there is the chance there will be more story going on in the game outside of the characters are just getting down and dirty for their own greedy needs. Rock Band Unplugged Does anyone else remember a little game Harmonix made oh so long ago called Amplitude? Where you flew a space craft around on different tracks and shot down "notes" to keep the beat, vocals, etc. going on a song playing in the background. THE BEATLES: ROCK BAND WORLDWIDE RELEASE SET FOR 9/9/09 I guess all of the talks have finalized and all of the licensing is settled for today they announced when we can all look forward to playing the collective works of The Beatles in a Rock Band type arena. That would be the 9th of September this year. Oh, and get this, it will be available worldwide and on all three of the major next gen consoles all at the same time. Japanese idol simulator, Idolm@ster SP, for the Sony PSP has seen a release day sell out throughout various shops in Japan. Within hours Japanese gaming stores, Gamers and Mesee Sanoo starting posting signs claiming the game was "Sold Out". By the morning of February 20th, Amazon Japan was completely sold out of all 3 versions as well. For those who are unfamiliar with this title, Idolm@ster started as a sim style game where you are an Idol manager, and you pick a girl to be the next Idol in Japan and groom her to success. One of the top music games around Rock Band, has announced that hip hop&RnB artist Snoop Dog will be appearing in Rock Band. Snoop Dog has signed a multi-faceted deal with Rock Band, they will be only releasing songs from Snoop Dog's musical catalog. They have not yet announced the release date for this update but hopefully it will be soon as i will be anticipating it! My personal view on this is its pretty exciting. The thing that stumps me is usually Snoop Dog sings/writes Rap and hip hop, but Rock band usually has Rock/Metal Songs. Read More...

Rare have announced that the bear and birds second adventure, Banjo-Tooie, will be hitting the Xbox Marketplace sometime in April with more Stop 'N' Swop. 4J Studios are adding more Stop 'N' Swop features that never made it into the sequel."4J Studios have dredged the Banjo team’s collective memory and implemented the original plan for Stop ‘n’ Swop, for the first time on any platform ever and after many long years of waiting. SanDisk SD Rock Band Wii Card So when they announced that they were hooking up the Wii with Rock Band and Rock Band 2, I questioned how those users would be able to enjoy some of the great DLC for the game. Seeing as there was very limited space built into the Wii system, there is not that make room for the game to grow. Well it would seem that this was an issue that SanDisk decided to fix. For all those who played Banjo Kazooie Nuts & Bolts and had a hard time reading all the small text, you'll be pleased to know that the patch to enlarge the text is out now. This had caused problems because there was no voice acting in the game, like the other 2 Banjo Kazooie games, and certain underpowered rigs made it hard to read the dialog which contains clues and instructions throughout the game. Turns out Harmonix is giving us Nine new songs before the week is out. There are various singles from various bands (Unfortunatly Two are from the Nickelodeon band The Naked Brothers). These songs apparentley cast a wide net over different ages, genres, language, demographic and pricing structure. Along with the obligatory "paid for" tracks from aritsts like Children of Bodom, Finley,Platero y Tu, Squeeze, Tokio Hotel and the All-American Rejects there is a free track from Miranda Cosgrove called "Headphones On". These songs will be available for 89 Microsoft points or USD$0.99 on the PlayStation Network for one month. Read More...
