by David 'Hades' Becker [ Thursday, 12th of February 2009 - 05:41 PM ]
MIDWAY'S U.S. OPERATIONS FILE FOR CHAPTER 11 REORGANIZATION Times are hard seems to be the saying quite often no a days. Lay-offs left and right. Well this is some shocking and not so shocking news depending on if you follow the news around Midway. For a while now, they have been trying to stay above water and pay back all of their losses and debt. But it looks like they just couldn't keep up even though they put up a good long fight. Today they have announced that they are filing Chapter 11 Bankruptcy for the U. Read More...

Rock Band: Snoop Dog
by Alex [ Wednesday, 11th of February 2009 - 11:55 PM ]
One of the top music games around Rock Band, has announced that hip hop&RnB artist Snoop Dog will be appearing in Rock Band. Snoop Dog has signed a multi-faceted deal with Rock Band, they will be only releasing songs from Snoop Dog's musical catalog. They have not yet announced the release date for this update but hopefully it will be soon as i will be anticipating it! My personal view on this is its pretty exciting. The thing that stumps me is usually Snoop Dog sings/writes Rap and hip hop, but Rock band usually has Rock/Metal Songs. Read More...

Without going into too much detail, the Stop ’n’ Swop items collected in Banjo-Kazooie will ‘magically’ appear in Tooie, resulting in... well, you'll just have to find out. Read More...

Fitness & Video-Games
by Amanda [ Thursday, 15th of January 2009 - 07:14 AM ]
Let’s face it, it seems like America’s in a panic to lose weight as it infamously maintains it’s title as THEE most detrimental nation in existence; Late night infomercials, hip-hob abs, Power 90, Flirty Girl Fitness, counting calories on Big Mac boxes?! Us gamers are hardly left out in this day and age, especially with video-games becoming more and more interactive; Just ask our beloved Konami, the makers of le cult classic Dance Dance Revolution.  Wait, “D00D YOU DANCE?!” That’s probably top-secret information the majority of guys most likely don’t want to share at a frat party; your friends may assume fetal position, spewing ‘Gamer Fuel’ ( does anyone actually drink that stuff? Rock On Your SanDisk
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Wednesday, 7th of January 2009 - 04:59 PM ]
SanDisk SD Rock Band Wii Card So when they announced that they were hooking up the Wii with Rock Band and Rock Band 2, I questioned how those users would be able to enjoy some of the great DLC for the game. Seeing as there was very limited space built into the Wii system, there is not that make room for the game to grow. Well it would seem that this was an issue that SanDisk decided to fix. Looks like they are placing out a proprietary card specifically for you to download more songs for the game onto. Read More...

Banjo Kazooie N&B Text Patch is Here
by Sam [ Sunday, 21st of December 2008 - 06:46 PM ]
For all those who played Banjo Kazooie Nuts & Bolts and had a hard time reading all the small text, you'll be pleased to know that the patch to enlarge the text is out now. This had caused problems because there was no voice acting in the game, like the other 2 Banjo Kazooie games, and certain underpowered rigs made it hard to read the dialog which contains clues and instructions throughout the game. Rare wasn't going to fix it but somebody got it out a month and a half later. Read More...

The Rock Band 2 registration site is now up and running for those looking to get their 20 songs via download.  While the songs aren't available yet, you can register now, so Harmonix can e-mail you the download code when they become available in a few weeks.  Also while filling out the form, it has a comment box where you can suggest Bands & Songs you would like to see on Rock Band 2.  Unfortunately, no word on what will be included in this 20 song DLC as of yet.  I personally hope they throw in some J-Rock, but I know it's all wishful thinkin. Rack One Up For Us
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Thursday, 25th of September 2008 - 05:03 PM ]
Jack Thompson Disbarred That's right, one of the main thorns in the side of the video game community/industry has just been permanently disbarred as well as having to pay hefty fine by the Supreme Court of Florida. All of this for inappropriate conduct when filing his flagrant charges against Game, TV, and Music companies for their "Questionable" material in their formats. Some of these of course being against South Park and Grand Theft Auto. Now, granted, he has 30 days to appeal this disbarment and such, but he still has the sanction of that he cannot submit this to the court himself. Read More...
