by David 'Hades' Becker [ Tuesday, 22nd of June 2021 - 05:00 PM ]
Hello Neighbor A new video for Hello Neighbor 2 gives us a little bit of a deeper look on how Hello Neighbor will be evolving Here we go with a little more of the mystery to see here for Hello Neighbor 2 out of this year's E3. It is not all too much, but it is something given that it was snuck into the PC Gaming Show by tinyBuild and felt like it was there to let us know it was still coming to the PC, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X. We still have no clue on when Hello Neighbor 2 will be out, but it is still slated for a 2021 release. Now we can just dive in and try to pick apart what we can from the latest showing of it all. The Saga Is Still In The Works For Senua’s Saga: Hellblade 2
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Monday, 21st of June 2021 - 09:00 PM ]
Hellblade A new update for Senua’s Saga: Hellblade 2 is here out of E3 to let us know how the next Hellblade is shaping up Another title that felt like it was missing in all of the big to do around this year's digital E3 was Senua’s Saga: Hellblade 2. Given all of the Xbox Series X titles that were getting pumped out there, it felt a little off that Ninja Theory did not have much to offer up. That was until a bit after the fact where we were able to get a small update on how Hellblade 2 is shaping up. Even if it is still in an insanely early form of it all, we are going to be getting updates as we saw with the last title to let us know just how things are going. Read More...

The Power & Consequences Are Out There In Life Is Strange: True Colors
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Monday, 21st of June 2021 - 07:00 PM ]
Life Is Strange A new breakdown of Life Is Strange: True Colors is here to give us a better understanding of the new powers coming to this Life Is Strange story One of the other titles out there that felt like it was getting some solid presence during the digital E3 this year had to be Life Is Strange: True Colors. It had its own little highlight during the Square Enix event and then Deck Nine Games had the announcement that it was going to be hitting the Switch when it launches out there on September 10th for all of the other platforms too. All alongside the announcement that the Life Is Strange remaster would be doing the same too. Read More...

The Medium Is Finally Opening Up To The PS5 Realm
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Monday, 21st of June 2021 - 05:00 PM ]
Medium The Medium has been announced for the PS5 now and we will be able to head into the dual-worlds of The Medium again As if we could not see it coming beforehand, it looks like The Medium is finally making the leap from the Xbox Series X and PC to head over to the PS5. This was one of the smaller announcements that slipped out during E3 this year from Bloober Team and it should be something to excite us all just a bit more. It was another great entry from the developer before when it hit us and now on September 3rd, we will get to experience the dual-world mechanics and maybe with a few new features along the way. They are looking to use the features of the DualSense controller for The Medium to mix in a few things we did not get before; they just are not fully listed as of yet. Read More...

This Week In Video Games 6/14/21 — 6/18/21
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Friday, 18th of June 2021 - 11:00 PM ]
Video Games A lot has gone on this week in video games. Here is a recap of what we covered in the world of video games on the site this week That was one whirlwind of a week there and we barely made it through a small slice of those video games that were announced, updated, or just plain shown off here during this year's virtual E3. While it was a bit easier to cover in this manner, it did feel like there are still so many other games to talk about. I am just glad we were able to get to Marvel’s Guardians Of The Galaxy, The Outer Worlds 2, and Redfall here. Read More...

We Might Kill Some Chaos In Stranger Of Paradise: Final Fantasy Origin
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Friday, 18th of June 2021 - 09:00 PM ]
Final Fantasy A new Final Fantasy game was announced during this year’s E3 with Stranger Of Paradise: Final Fantasy Origin I hope you are ready for some new kind of chaos in your life, as that is what Stranger Of Paradise: Final Fantasy Origin seems to be bringing into it all for us. This would be one of the unnamed titles that Square Enix had to show off during E3 this year and it was definitely one of the more questionable ones. It also happens to be one of those titles that were rumored out there with it being a Soulslike title inspired by Final Fantasy and not any kind of sequel or spin-off that the name might suggest. Given that the trailer here is all about our team of three heading out to kill of chaos and end some nonsense, it has made more of it out there than could have been expected. Read More...

Back 4 Blood Will Be Offering Up Some PvP In A Familiar Way
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Friday, 18th of June 2021 - 07:00 PM ]
Back 4 Blood Back 4 Blood will have a PvP mode mixed in for us all to take the horrors of Back 4 Blood on the attack Given the team working on Back 4 Blood, it was easy to assume that we could be seeing some form of PvP in the mix at some point. When it came to other titles from Turtle Rock, it took a bit and came post-launch. It looks like we are not going to have to wait further than October 12th for that to hit Back 4 Blood, though, as it was announced during E3 that we will be seeing a PvP mode in the mix of it all then. That would be the launch date for the game on the PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X, and PC. Read More...

Chase More Ghosts This July With The Release Of Chernobylite
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Friday, 18th of June 2021 - 05:00 PM ]
Chernobylite New gameplay for Chernobylite is here to tease us as we get a solid release date set down for Chernobylite as well Last we heard from Chernobylite was that the game was going to be hitting us all this July at some point. We speculated that this would most likely be near the end of the month given how loose The Farm 51 was with the release window. Now, hot out of E3 this year, we have that final date to look forward to for those looking to play Chernobylite on the PC from whichever vendor they are looking to go with. The PS4 and Xbox One players will have to wait a bit longer. Read More...

Redfall Will Have Us Biting Back In The New IP Coming Next Year
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Thursday, 17th of June 2021 - 09:00 PM ]
Redfall A new open-world co-op title, Redfall, was announced at E3 and Redfall will have us out there hunting down all manner of vampire During E3 this year, we have had a plethora of new titles announced, with many being new IPs, and here we go with one more by the way of Redfall. This would be the next huge title that Arkane Austin have been working on over the past bit of time and they are aiming to bring us a new FPS title to explore and slay in. A new FPS title that is also an open-world with co-op as we hunt down some genetically modified vampires out there. I hope you read all of that correctly, as this is the basic for Redfall that we have here as we get ready to wait for Summer of 2022 for it to actually hit the Xbox Series X and PC. Read More...

New Details Have Been Shared Out There For The Overly-Hyped Starfield
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Thursday, 17th of June 2021 - 07:00 PM ]
Starfield Starfield has been given a few more details and we know when the slated release date is for Starfield in the coming year The wait for something new surrounding Starfield is finally over and we have a bit more to look at for the game that has had everyone talking since E3 of 2018. Yes, it has been quite a while since we had that news from Bethesda Game Studios and now we are happy to see if the hype that was built way back then was worth holding over until now. I mean, it is not as if gamers have been overly hyped about a game announced with little to look at before. We just get to know that Starfield is coming from a well-respected studio and for the Xbox Series X and PC. Read More...

by Julia Schoebel [ Thursday, 17th of June 2021 - 05:00 PM ]
Fatal Frame For the 20th anniversary of the Fatal Frame IP, we will be getting Fatal Frame: Maiden In Black Water ported over to all of the current platforms out there Another blast from the past will be gracing us here this year with Fatal Frame: Maiden In Black Water getting a re-release on the PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X, Switch, and PC. Yes, it looks like after all of this time of it being a Wii U release, Koei Tecmo has opted to bring the game back out and in a form for so many others to play. All of which comes out of the recent showcase that Nintendo held during E3 and just before the 20th anniversary of the Fatal Frame IP out there too. Read More...

Atomic Heart Bends Some More Reality With Another Questioning Trailer
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Wednesday, 16th of June 2021 - 09:00 PM ]
Atomic Heart Atomic Heart took part of the stage during E3 this year with some new gameplay for Atomic Heart to boggle some minds out there It would not be a good E3 again if we did not get an update for the alt-reality title Atomic Heart out of it, and we did get just that. A nice little chunk of gameplay for the game and a little more from Mundfish on what the story of the game could revolve around. In a minor way of things and with some new gameplay that does not exactly explain much, but it is something to look at and see how Atomic Heart could potentially look on the PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X, and PC when it does come at us. Given that it is now slated as a Day One release on Xbox Game Pass, I have a feeling that day might not be too far off. Read More...

A Plague Tale: Requiem Will Be Infesting Us All Next Year
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Wednesday, 16th of June 2021 - 07:00 PM ]
A Plague Tale The official announcement for the A Plague Tale sequel is here with A Plague Tale: Requiem getting the showcase during E3 All of the speculation can be put aside from the rumors we had before, as E3 has now offered us the official announcement for A Plague Tale: Requiem. This would be that sequel that we heard Asobo Studio might have been working on back in 2019 for an amazing puzzle-platforming title that was a sleeping hit back in the day. It looks like Focus Home Interactive took notice of A Plague Tale and went all-in to give us that true sequel to it all. Also to give it to us all on the PS5, Xbox Series X, Switch, and PC. The Fate Of The Free-Thinking World Is In That Hands Of Psychonauts 2
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Wednesday, 16th of June 2021 - 05:00 PM ]
Psychonauts The release date for Psychonauts 2 is set down for this August and there is much more of the Psychonauts to take in along the way After quite a bit of waiting, we now have a release date for Psychonauts 2 for the Xbox One, Xbox Series X, and PC gamers out there. Those PS4 gamers are going to have to keep waiting, as this was the only thing announced during this year's E3 when Double Fine took the spotlight for a bit to give us what we all are looking for at this point. None of this is a huge surprise after the buyout that happened shortly after Psychonauts 2 became a successful project backed over on FIG. It is just a bit of a letdown that we will have to see it go the timed exclusive route for now. Read More...

The Outer Worlds 2 Is Announced In The Most Spectacular Way At E3
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Tuesday, 15th of June 2021 - 09:00 PM ]
The Outer Worlds The Outer Worlds saga will continue with the announcement for The Outer Worlds 2 during this year's virtual E3 events The headline here kind of says it all, as The Outer Worlds 2 is officially going to be a title in the future after getting added into the mix of the other Xbox One, Xbox Series X, and PC games we had during the Xbox event for E3 this year. Obsidian Entertainment made another huge splash with this new IP the first time around, so it was more or less expected to see that they would be bringing us all more for it. I know I sunk a whole lot of time into The Outer Worlds before and am interested to see where it all goes from there. Read More...
