A Plague Tale: Requiem Will Be Infesting Us All Next Year

A Plague Tale

The official announcement for the A Plague Tale sequel is here with A Plague Tale: Requiem getting the showcase during E3

All of the speculation can be put aside from the rumors we had before, as E3 has now offered us the official announcement for A Plague Tale: Requiem. This would be that sequel that we heard Asobo Studio might have been working on back in 2019 for an amazing puzzle-platforming title that was a sleeping hit back in the day. It looks like Focus Home Interactive took notice of A Plague Tale and went all-in to give us that true sequel to it all. Also to give it to us all on the PS5, Xbox Series X, Switch, and PC. We may need to wait until 2022 to get to play it all, but it is coming and there is no longer need to speculate and hope for it all now. This also means that we will need to go back and give the game a whole other play through just to keep the hype wave flowing like that of the plague rats.

Of course, all of this comes along with a fun little trailer for A Plague Tale: Requiem made with the game's engine to show off how it could all look on these next-gen systems. It does not offer up too much as to what will be going on in the story of it all, outside of it continuing the tale of Hugo and Amicia in the plague-ridden world. It does show that the rat swarms in A Plague Tale could be hitting some new heights if this all does carry over to the actual gameplay instead of just "in engine" footage. Especially, if we need to worry about literal waves of rodents flooding the streets and needing to mitigate smaller swarms and use some of them to our advantage in various other ways. Have a look to see just how it will all be flowing as of right now.
