Alien Isolation has gone gold and with that announcement Sega and Creative Assembly have given us a new trailer for the game It's always a good day when we can say that a game has gone gold and there are no more delays, which happens to be just the case for Alien Isolation. So far the alpha and beta builds of the game have handled amazingly as well as brought the horror back to the franchise. This is one of the few titles I am still looking forward to for the rest of this year so the golden announcement will make this October 7th such an amazing day. To go along with the announcement of Alien Isolation getting the little gold sticker, it looks like we are also going to have a bit of fun leading up to the release of the game with a new "trailer series" titled How Will You Survive? Ubisoft has just announced a new collection of titles for the Assassin's Creed franchise titled the Birth Of A New World - The American Saga launch before the newer titles Just in case you didn't think you were going to get enough Assassin's Creed this year with Unity and Rogue launching in November it looks like there is another set of titles coming just weeks before the one-two punch of those titles. All on the PS3, Xbox 360, and PC at that. This new addition to the franchise is Assassin's Creed: Birth Of A New World — The American Saga although it really isn't a fully new addition to the universe but a way to get caught up on all the lore and events leading up to Rogue/Unity. UK Gaming magazine Gamesmaster has a few updates and tidbits of info for Resident Evil Revelations 2 including a few in game shots Over the past weekend it looks like there has been a bit more on Resident Evil Revelations 2 revealed via the UK magazine Gamesmaster and UK website Push-Start. It looks like there was and interview that took place with the game's producer (Michiteru Okabe) and a slew of details have surfaced from it. That and a slew of in game shots of Resident Evil Revelations 2 were mixed in and show off both Claire Redfield and Moira Burton (daughter of Barry Burton). The protagonists slated for the game. Warner Bros. and Rocksteady have given the new official release date for Batman: Arkham Knight as well as details on the two Collector's Editions Batman: Arkham Knight was originally slated to come out next month (October) but then like many titles got the push to a 2015 release window. It was sad times for all of us who wanted to "Be The Bat" on our PS4, Xbox One, or PC with Rocksteady and Warner Bros. final title for the franchise. It looks like the wait is over now though as we can now look forward to playing Batman: Arkham Knight on June 2nd 2015 as that has been the confirmed release date for the game. Read More...

A Lot Has Gone On This Week. Here's A Recap Of What We Covered In Video Games Another week of exciting video games news has come and passed and we are all a bit wiser and stronger for it all. Okay, maybe I wouldn't go that far as to say that but at least there was a whole lot to have covered this week in gaming. Hey, this week we even were able to cover something out of the film industry as it happened to be 100% involved in gaming here. That would be the release of the Heavenly Sword CGI film which we also were able to review. Read More...

Slender: The Arrival is bringing its brand of horror to the PS3 and Xbox 360 before the end of September It's been almost a year since Slender: The Arrival released on Steam and well over a year for the release before that. To be honest I never was able to get caught up in the fun of Slenderman being that I am primarily a console player. Boo and hiss all you want but that won't change things for me right now. What is changing though is that Slender: The Arrival is being brought over to the PS3 and Xbox 360 on September 23rd so now all of us gamers can experience what the phenomenon is all about. Ubisoft has released a new gameplay trailer for Assassin's Creed Rogue and it looks like Shay has some work cut out for him We had a few images for Assassin's Creed Rogue yesterday and now it looks like we have a bit more gameplay to show in video form. Not only has a bit of gameplay but it looks like a bit more of the game's story has been mixed into the footage as well. Granted it isn't much more than we already know but one thing it does seem to stress upon is that Shay will be hunted just as he is hunting down the assassin's in Assassin's Creed Rogue. This no begs the question of how all of this will play together in the final product and story here. Read More...

A release date and pre-order bonus for Mortal Kombat X has been announced and it is looking downright amazing Here we have it, the Mortal Kombat X release date. We now know when we should be getting to get back into the gut ripping action and it is now set for April 14th 2015. At least in the NA region for now but if history serves the EU and other regions should only need to wait a few days until they can have Scorpion or Goro dismembering them limb from limb. Or controlling said characters on their console of choice. Wait a second… Goro isn't an announced character for Mortal Kombat X is what I am sure you were thinking if you didn't look up and see the image or embedded tweet below. Read More...

A few new screen shots for Assassin's Creed Unity and Assassin's Creed Rogue have popped up online and it is time to see which will be the better on the same day With the delay of Assassin's Creed Unity both of the "next installments" of the Assassin's Creed franchise are slated to release on the same day. The other title being Assassin's Creed Rogue. One for the next gens (PS4, XB1, PC) and the other for the current gen (PS3, Xbox360) respectfully on November 11th 2014. Read More...

A new live action trailer for Destiny has been released showing off how the game should feel when playing with friends I made the comment earlier that people have been losing their excitement for Destiny as the game's launch date looms even closer. I also claimed that something needed to be done to get the excitement back even after the Planet View site cropped up. Well it would seem that my complaints and wishes were answered as we have a new live action trailer for Destiny now and it does nothing but show off why we should be excited for the game. Even though it is mainly focused on the multiplayer aspect of the game's world. Read More...

A new trailer for Styx: Master Of Shadows shows off the assassin gameplay as well as hints to a release date Up until now Styx: Master Of Shadows has been shown off as a stealth and Thief-like title but now it looks like there is a bit of Assassin's Creed brought into the mix with the latest gameplay trailer. This is a little bit of a shock to me as up until now it has been shown that Styx cannot handle multiple enemies and needs to stick to tricks and sneak attacks. I'll take it none the less as this looks to add yet another manner of gameplay to Styx: Master Of Shadows for all those out there who don't have the patience to take things slow and stealthy. All of the basics of Call Of Duty: Advanced Warfare's multiplayer are explained in the most recent trailer released from Sledgehammer and Activision Last month Call Of Duty: Advanced Warfare's multiplayer was shown off to the public during the Gamescom event. Everyone had nothing but amazing things to say about what was shown even though it was only the tip of the iceberg, so to say. Obviously be who we all are we want to see more of the gameplay, modes, customization, and kills coming in the next Call Of Duty. The next bit of wait time is over now as we have a nice long look at the multiplayer just a bit lower down the page. Read More...

Heavenly Sword has been given the CGI film treatment and we've had a chance to sit down and check it out. Here is our review of Heavenly Sword — The Film When I first heard that there was going to be a Heavenly Sword film I became insanely excited. This is one of my favorite video games to date and just like if there was a God Of War film I would lose my shit and be first in line to check it out. Fortunately, Heavenly Sword didn't require me to fight the masses but have a watch in the comfort of my own godly cave and watch it I did. Here is what I have to say on the film adaptation of Heavenly Sword. Read More...

In preparation for the launch of Destiny, Activision and Bungie have opened up a new viral site for gamers to see all the wonders of the game If you think you know all you need to know about Destiny so far then you may want to think again. Even those who managed to grind all the way to the level cap during the beta for Destiny may not know all of the ins and outs of the game's universe. Don't fret if you are one of those completionist types who need to know all the little tidbits though. Just hopefully you are versed in using Google Earth as the latest viral craze for Destiny happens to be something along those lines for all to experience and expand upon the universe just before the game launches next week. It looks like Atari is re-imagining yet another title to bring to PC and this time it is Haunted House: Cryptic Graves If you have no idea what Haunted House: Cryptic Graves is, don't fret. It is most likely well before your time when the original title from Atari was released, 1982, so you may not have a point of reference for Haunted House: Cryptic Graves. That is okay though as we do have a nice little teaser trailer for the re-imaging of the game that is slated to release this Fall on PC. It sure looks a lot creepier than the original 2600 version of the game way back in the day. Read More...
