We've seen Resident Evil Revelations 2 in action already but until now there was no context on how everything was being driven and controlled. It was easy to assume the basic for the game as Capcom doesn't deviate from the basics all too much. I mean why would you change Up on the Left Stick from moving the character forward and all that? It would make no sense unless you were making a title specifically to mess with the norm and let's face it, Resident Evil Revelations 2 is not a game that looks to be deviating from the norm but giving us more of the Resident Evil franchise in our faces.
That all said, below we have a new look at the control scheme for Resident Evil Revelations 2 as well as some of the options that can change the experience of the game to some degree. The most glaring one from the following video happens to be that we will be able to change the reticle for the guns in the HUD. The options we see so far are that we can have the normal onscreen cross-hairs or we can switch it up to a nice laser site coming directly from the gun. This also looks like it can be altered on the fly while deep in the action of Resident Evil Revelations 2. Nifty!
Resident Evil Revelations 2 — Gameplay, Combat, Controls, And Menus
So these new video bits are from the PS4 version of Resident Evil Revelations 2 so there is definitely going to be some changes as none of the other platforms have the touch pad but I'm guessing that will all be the select button as is the norm we spoke about. Resident Evil Revelations 2 is looking amazing now that we can see the footage in 60fps and full HD. Hopefully that will stay the norm across all platforms but it looks like the only real confirmation here is based on the PS4 footage we've seen above. This is the best footage I've seen to date none the less and it is keeping Resident Evil Revelations 2 fully in my scope moving on out.
