Only a little more than a month away until the "remake" of the classic 1981 Clash Of The Titans hits theaters. For those who are early 80's movie retarded, it was a retelling of the Greek story of Perseus' persecution. Albeit a bit skewed from the original tale for film purposes, but a fun clay-mation driven film. The new film a deviation from the original from the looks of things, and not just the modern effects and CGI, but a bit of the story. The film is not what this is all about though. Read More…

Review: Vandal Hearts: Flames of Judgment

Wait, Vandal Hearts is still around? Why yes they are. Hijinx Studio and Konami recently released Vandal Hearts: Flames of Judgment for the XBox Live and PlayStation Network and did a reasonably good job with the game. I just find it a bit random that out of all the Konami franchises, that Vandal Hearts was the one they chose to release. In any case let see how this Japanese turn-based RPG do. If you have played any turn-based tactical RPGs like Ogre Tactics, Disgaea, or Final Fantasy Tactics than you will be familiar with the game and will find a few innovations. Read More…

The Force Is Strong With George Lucas' Wallet

For a game that many people wrote off for shoddy controls and questionable graphical quality, The Force Unleashed has reached the "sold seven million units worldwide" mark. The charm of the title was perhaps not that it was a new entry in the Star Wars canon, but that it was somewhat decent and not a BioWare title. For me, it was the combination of finally feeling in control of a being that was a serious Force-powerhouse and getting a fresh spin on what can sometimes be a very stale mythology. Lucasarts is not satisfied with this meager accomplishment and is already pushing forward on a sequel that is coming this year. Read More…

Warner Bros. Will Soon Be Bringing Batman To You

Batman has been a staple of the Warner Bros. company for a very long time. Live action films, animated series, and a few games have been brought to us from Warner directly in the past. Now it looks like that is going to change here real soon. Especially with the most recent new franchise, Arkham Asylum. A game originally handed out to another company, Rocksteady, to design, code and build. Which they did to an extent that it won a load of awards and shipped over three million copies. Read More…

NIS America Bringing Persona Anime To North America

NIS America has long been known for bringing over Japanese RPGs and niche titles to the U.S. Not just content with being a videogame publisher here in America, they announced back on February 11th that they will be expanding to include the publishing of anime. Most notably though is the announcement of Persona -Trinity Soul-. Persona -Trinity Soul- is an anime TV series is based on the Shin Megami Tensai: Persona RPG series created by Atlus. It is the sequel to Persona 3 and takes place approximately ten years after the events of the game. Read More…

God I love viral marketing. Especially the kind of viral marketing that draws you in deeper and deeper to find out very little about what is being advertised. Or at least when the details are so cryptic you don't get much out of it, but still want more. Something that Funcom has been doing for almost a year now with The Secret World. Just "dug up" on the great internets is a blog that shows it has been running since November of last year. Little Red In My Resident Evil 5

Well, the day is finally here where the entire console gaming community can get all those new features they threw into Resident Evil 5: Gold Edition, without having to shell out the cash for a full game. The new DLC for the game is now available for download on the XBox 360 and PS3. The DLC includes all the build up to what happened to Jill in the cut scenes, and about an extra hour's worth of gameplay. Not to mention all the additional costumes and characters in the mutiplayer mode. To commemorate this day of the new release, Capcom has given us a video rendition of the old trailer for the game. A Different Look At Kingsmouth From The Secret World

Looking at the below new assets for Funcom's upcoming MMO The Secret World, the excitement is back after the very lack-luster gameplay video they threw out there to entice us all. I still attest that it was pretty bad for the first real video for the game. But in any instance, like I said, the new screen shots totally make up for it. While it is hard to tell if these are stylized in-game shots or just concepts done up in an art department, they are still great pieces of eye candy. Although, like Alan Wake the jeep crash looks a bit too Silent Hill it still is intriguing. Read More…

It was much worse to even speak about it back when Dante Alighieri wrote The Divine Comedy where he mapped out the circles of Heaven and Hell for all those God fearing Christians to know exactly what he thought was in store for humanity after they shed their mortal coil. Darksiding With A Demo

Darksiders, a game that seemed to have trouble finding a general consensus at first, but did manage several very positive reviews is bringing a 90-minute demo to the PlayStation 3 and XBox 360 on Feb. 25th. The demo will have the Twilight Cathedral level and will include some of the puzzles that have divided the gaming crowd as well as some equipment to find and even a couple of boss battles. Though the game has already shipped a million units, will a demo bring more gamers to the table ready to take on the mantle of War? Time will tell next week when the demo drops. Read More…
