So What Did You Think About Rage?
by Matt Waitt [ Monday, 10th of October 2011 - 06:23 PM ]
Now that Id Software's new IP is out, what do you guys think about it?I was thoroughly impressed with the demo Id showed off earlier this year at PAX East and eagerly waited for its release in August, but sadly it was pushed back to October. I was perfectly ok with that since I knew the finished product was going to blow my mind into oblivion, but I guess it is safe to say that I'm slightly disappointed. Now don't get me wrong, Rage is still a fun game for me to play, but I was expecting a lot more. I guess the hype got my head in the clouds. Read More…

Do Video Game Characters Have Dreams Of Their Players?
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Friday, 7th of October 2011 - 04:51 PM ]
Looks like Sony took the time to answer that question for us in their latest promotional video for the Long Live Play campaign. Looks like they do and they are supposed to be. Sackboy I'm looking at you. Tsk tsk tsk… This is a rather interesting and awesome addition to things though. Especially since everyone in there is not a PlayStation exclusive even though it is stacked that way a bit. I will say that some of their choices for actors is a little odd or at least make the characters look odd. Kratos for one just looks wrong even though he looks to be the most CG'ed of the bunch. You've Got To Be Kidding Me. New Mortal Kombat Film In The Works
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Monday, 3rd of October 2011 - 03:48 PM ]
Please gods don't let there be another video game film craze coming again. Earlier this week we found out Dead Island has been optioned for a featured film. Now, Mortal Kombat is getting the same treatment. Yes, another Mortal Kombat film is in the works. Although it has potential to be really good but only if things work out as alluded to. Apparently things went way better for the Web Series that was directed by Kevin Tancharoen than Warner Bros. expected. Read More…

Did Twig Just Get His Nuka Break?
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Friday, 30th of September 2011 - 08:46 PM ]
It's been two weeks again so it is time for the new episode of Fallout: Nuka Break. It is also time to see how the cliff hanger from last episode is going to work itself out. You know the one where the whole crew was ambushed in the middle of town. Crazy guy in a huge top hat? You know and if not go watch the last episode. Without giving too much away, it does look like the whole premise of the series has come to a close. Or at least the basic one. Read More…

by David 'Hades' Becker [ Friday, 30th of September 2011 - 04:26 PM ]
Earlier this week, (9/28/11) in a small, dark room I was invited to a Q/A session with a couple of the people behind NBA 2K12. Those people being Erick Boenisch, producer of NBA 2K12, and Mike Wang, senior game play designer. The small, dark room being my office since this was over a conference call. None the less though it was a fun filled experience that will give all of you sports fans out there a bit more about the game. There is really too much to go into here without having a multipage article here so I will allow most of the answers come from the below recording. Read More…

Dead Island The Movie... Do We Need It?
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Tuesday, 27th of September 2011 - 06:44 PM ]
Do we need yet another zombie film? Or even better, another zombie film based on a video game? I mean are the Resident Evil films not enough for us? If you answered along the lines of "Yes, give me another zombie film based on a video game." then I have some good news for you. Lionsgate has just announced that they have optioned the film rights to Dead Island the movie. Yea… I think… I am being a little hasty here though. It looks like the reason has been optioned is all based around the concept of the first trailer we were given back in February of this year. Read More…

What To Expect In Diablo III?
by Matt Waitt [ Monday, 26th of September 2011 - 10:02 PM ]
"My old weary bones ache in the chilly midnight air, as if they try to warn me of something evil lurking within the shadows. It has been twenty years since the heroes of Sanctuary have slain Diablo and his brothers; Baal and Mephisto. I have watched as the minds of these heroes slowly go insane from the horrors they have experienced, and those who still have their sanity cowardly choose to deny the truth, stating that they were only fables they made up for fame and fortune. As I sit here alone in the tavern, the townsfolk blissfully enjoy their festivities unknown to them that evil always returns. I shall wait here for new heroes to rise up and face these challenges, but I fear it might be too late, for evil never sleeps. Read More…

Star Wars: The Old Republic comes out on December 20th, 2011 - mark your calendars, sell your kidneys and start working on a second job. Read More…

Diablo III Delayed Until Early 2012
by Corey Dockendorf [ Friday, 23rd of September 2011 - 07:03 PM ]
The Diablo III Beta test hasn't even been live for a whole week, and Mike Morhaime announced today that releasing Diablo III "Soon" was too soon. Since February Blizzard had said they were "hoping" to have a launch by the end of this year, but never fully committed to it. Well looks like players are going to have to wait a while longer to get in on this hot title. "While this news might not be a complete surprise, I know that many of you were hopeful that Diablo III would ship this year. We were too. Read More…

World Of Warcraft 4.3 Dungeons Part 1
by Matt Waitt [ Thursday, 22nd of September 2011 - 06:42 PM ]
So being a regular player of World Of Warcraft, I thought it would be good to give you guys some info on the new dungeons and raids coming in patch 4.3: Dragon Soul. Now I do have mixed feelings for WoW but the lore is what keeps me coming back for more, the stories told in Warcraft are vast, grand and epic rivaling and even surpassing the stories that started the fantasy genre. Without further adieu here are some goodies for you guys. The Great Dragon Aspect; Nozdormu The Timeless has devised an unorthodox and highly dangerous strategy along with Thrall and the other Dragon Aspects to finally destroy Deathwing once and for all, and they need your help.
