In the past with rhythm/music when it was time to inform the masses of the track lists usually we just got a long list of songs and artists for us all to gawk at. When Activision first announced that High Moon Studios would be making a Transformers game, I was a bit skeptical. That is, until I saw the trailer and screen shots of the game. Granted it is not the Transformers we all, or at least most of us, know and love. And no, I do not mean the recent live-action Transformers movie. I am talking about the 80's cartoon series, including the full length movie where I first cried over the fact that Optimus Prime died in the epic battle with Megatron*. It has been over a week now since E3 closed its doors. Since then I have been pouring over the many pictures I snapped - from the Activision Party to the Nintendo and Sony presser to everything else in between. I also managed to film some of the Method Man and Redman concert at the Konami booth. You may think it is all fun and games when you are at E3, and at times can be, but it is also a lot of hard work. It started with a rush of excitement from the crowd in the Nokia Theatre on Tuesday morning and proceeded throughout E3. A brand-new Legend of Zelda was coming to the Nintendo Wii. Legend of Zelda: Skyward Sword is the Wii Motion Plus-based adventure fans have been clamoring for since the little white box’s inception. Not much of the story has been released for Legend of Zelda: Skyward Sword, but judging by the reaction at the Nintendo Press Conference and how long people were willing to wait in line to experience the brief demo at E3, that is not a concern…yet. Square Enix is pumping titles out like BP's oil leak. Square Enix just announced that they will have four new digital titles. Two for WiiWare and two for XBox Live and PlayStation 3. WiiWare is getting The Tales of Bearsworth Manor™: Puzzling Pages™ and The Tales of Bearsworth Manor™: Chaotic Conflicts™. According to a leaked survey, the classic four person Nintendo shooter GoldenEye might be being built from the ground up by Activision, and coming to Wii consoles. This leak comes with possible box art and some concept screens. According to the leak, GoldenEye has been "Modernized" and will feature all the weapons and characters we love from Onatopp to Trevalyan, as well as classic weapons like the PP7 and high tech assault rifle. The leak also showed a picture of a new Wii controller shell, and a soon to be coveted gold plated classic N64 controller. Ok, not really but it sure does look like a toned down version of Judge Dread in these new screen shots from Spider-Man: Shattered Dimensions doesn't it? Of course it does. It also looks like a Spawn look has overtaken Spider-Man from these new screens as well, which looks extremely bad ass in my oh so non-humble opinion. Accoriding to a report from Edge-Online today Microsoft has set a $149 price tag on its upcoming motion capture camera dubbed "Project Natal". This price is three times the original rumored price of $49. To keep it relative the anticipated pricepoint of Sony's similar upcoming hardware release "move" is rumored to be only $99. Will Microsoft sell the millions of units to the casual and non-traditional gaming crowd that it anticipates at this price point? Throwing around various statistics and knowing gamers, the two powerhouses look to empower gamers to become active, make time for exercise and enjoy getting fit. Along with the announcement comes the unveiling of a new website to inform users of how they can get involved at home using Nintendo products and across the country with AHA's Start! Heart Walks. Nintendo announced today that beginning on Sunday May 9th, all new Wii consoles will ship with a copy of Wii Sports Resort, a wiimote, a nunchuck and a Wii Motion Plus. You will also have a choice between the classic white or the brand new black color. Now six months after the release of Wii Sports Resort and the Wii Motion Plus, Nintendo has waited an appropriate amount of time to make sure the bundled peripheral had plenty of legs, netting them the largest bundle of cash they could muster.
