Square Enix Announces 4 New Digital Downloads

WiiWare is getting The Tales of Bearsworth Manor™: Puzzling Pages™ and The Tales of Bearsworth Manor™: Chaotic Conflicts™. While XBox Live and PlayStation 3 are getting NecroMachina™ and Space Invaders: Infinity Gene™. Along with these titles, Square Enix will be announcing two new iPhone titles as well.

Coming to WiiWare

The Tales of Bearsworth Manor: Puzzling Pages

and

The Tales of Bearsworth Manor: Chaotic Conflicts

Depending on which title you play, game play and characters will be varying. If you play Puzzling Pages, you will play as Pina, a slightly creepy girl in red, trying to collect red candies. Chaotic Conflicts is a more battle oriented system where you play the three-pronged-blue-hair-boy named Kuma. Sounds obscure, and has a really creepy undertone. According to Square "Complete both games to uncover an even deeper mystery..." Hopefully we can solve more of this mystery at E3.

Coming to XBox Live Arcade and PlayStation 3

Space Invaders: Infinity Gene

In a homage to the arcade classic Space Invaders, Square/Enix has done something new and exciting, giving this classic game a 3D twist. Here is the gimmick, the game starts out just like the old school shooter we all know and love. Then as you progress through the game, it "evolves" as you play.

NecroMachina

This apocalyptic adventure puts you in the shoes of a young boy named Faust. Faust is unique in the fact that he controls the power of Mephistopheles - "breathing life into that which has none." Sounds like a famous legend?. The coolest part about this title is that it looks and plays just like the classic Strider Arcade from Capcom. A game in which I spent many quarters on. This high flying action adventure title will have you swinging from rooftops, jumping and flipping all over the screen with three of your friends. The multiplayer aspect is probably going to make this one of the more downloaded games of the 4 titles.

I really enjoy the new titles based off classic arcade style games. The two puzzlers look very creepy but also innovative, hopefully they will be as successful as The Misadventures Of P.B. Winterbotom. Can't wait to see what other announcements Square Enix is gonna have at this years E3.
