South Park The Stick Of Truth - Behind The Construction…Paper
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Thursday, 30th of January 2014 - 04:49 PM ]
It's time to go behind the scenes of South Park: The Stick Of Truth and see what has been going into the process of making such an epic game. It has been some time since we had anything new from South Park The Stick Of Truth, unless you want to count the show's Black Friday trilogy that ended as a giant ad for the game. Either way it is high time and…we really have nothing more except for a few looks at how the game has been designed from the start up until now. It is all in video form with a few small interview tidbits from Matt and Trey, but all in all there is nothing that we haven't seen or heard before. Read More...

by David 'Hades' Becker [ Thursday, 31st of October 2013 - 09:05 PM ]
There Is Some New Gameplay Footage For South Park The Stick Of Truth But It Also Comes With Another Delay Well isn't this some good news and bad news. The good news is that South Park The Stick Of Truth has seven minutes of new gameplay, I'll discuss here in a bit. The bad news, the game is delayed again and this time it won't be until next year. March 4th 2014 to be exact. Yet another delay from an Ubisoft title, but at least this one is just being published by Ubisoft and not developed by. Read More...

Now we know that South Park: The Stick Of Truth will be launching on December 10th this year keeping with its 'Holiday Season' promise. If you are wondering where that date came from, then you obviously haven't been paying attention to the internet or jumped down to the new trailer for the game below. Thanks for that. Is there anything else we can glean from this trailer that we have not been able to find? Read More...

New South Park: The Stick Of Truth Screenshots To Prove It's Not Dead
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Friday, 23rd of August 2013 - 03:43 PM ]
It was joked about back during SDCC, but do people really think that South Park: The Stick Of Truth is going to be dead in the water? I actually hear people still murmurs this, I'm not kidding, even though we have been shown concrete proof that it is still well in development and scheduled for release. I understand that missing the original launch date and losing the original publisher has a bit to do with this, but seriously?!? How could you be so dense? Read More...

SDCC 2013: South Park: The Stick Of Truth
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Friday, 26th of July 2013 - 11:08 PM ]
Didn't make it to San Diego Comic Con or the South Park: The Stick Of Truth panel? Well we got you covered. Or at least an amazing individual on the internet has you covered in the video aspect and I have you covered in the details as I was there taking notes for you. It should be no surprise that there isn't much in the way of new information since E3, but a few choice questions from fans and during the panel revealed a few tidbits. One of the best things I have heard in a while has to be that there are no plans to force DLC down our throats even though there were some major cuts from the 850+ page script of the game. Both Trey and Matt expressed a hatred for the term and that it was suggested when they had to start culling down the content. Read More...

E3 2013 Impression: South Park: The Stick Of Truth
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Monday, 17th of June 2013 - 11:35 PM ]
With the fall of the mighty THQ and the purchasing of South Park: The Stick Of Truth by Ubisoft, all of us have been questioning what may or may not change in the final product. Especially since Ubisoft has it's hearts with the French and the Canadians and the minds behind South Park love to tear them apart. With questions like that and a huge interest in the game, I took a seat and watched what Obsidian had to show us at E3 after the great publisher swap. Granted, some of these might not be additions or substitutions due to the swap, but it was all shown during the demo I was graced with. Read More...

Review: Rush Bros.
by Kenton Winkfield [ Saturday, 8th of June 2013 - 04:50 PM ]
I always enjoy listening to music when I play games. But not many games actually utilize the ability to use your own soundtrack in the game. You have Audio Surf or Beat Hazard which are directly influenced by your music but not enough games take this idea and run with it. We have another game to add to the list now. From brand new Indie developer and publisher XYLA Entertainment in collaboration with Digital Tribe Games, makers of such games as Velvet Assassin, Kung Fu Strike, and others, comes a brand new musical 2D racing platformer called Rush Bros. South Park: The Stick Of Truth Is Still Blasting Ass With The Best Of Them
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Thursday, 6th of June 2013 - 03:24 PM ]
I am so glad to see that South Park: The Stick Of Truth is still moving forward and striving given the loss of the original publisher and completely missing the launch date. While Ubisoft did purchase the game during the great THQ fire sale, I was a bit worried that this was going to fall into development Tartarus or be so altered it wouldn't be what we were led to expect. From the looks of the below screen shots and the bit of new information we have here it sounds like it is going to be just what fans of the show should expect. What is it that I say we should expect? Review: Drinking Quest
by Fred Buell [ Friday, 21st of September 2012 - 11:46 PM ]
Drinking Quest is a game type that is not typically reviewed here, but it's one that definitely fits our gamer requirement and I think it's time we bring in the table-top gamers and video gamers into one niche. With that out of the way, Drinking Quest is a game that seamlessly blends your traditional table-top RPG and drinking games inside of a card game with various subtle references to pop culture from over the years. You can choose one of four characters each with various stats, weapon proficiencies, and a special ability card. There are four "quests" to a game and the hero with the most XP wins the game. Deep Silver Is Teasing Sacred World
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Friday, 3rd of August 2012 - 04:19 PM ]
Who wants to get teased? Well you don't get the option to decline now as Deep Silver, of Dead Island and Risen fame, are doing so until August 7th for their upcoming game Sacred World. Well at least that is the assumption that can be made based on a tweet sent out by the company and the teaser site sacred-world.com. This could be the name or it could just be one of the PR sites set up similar to nohopeleft. Read More...

by Brian Bentley [ Wednesday, 4th of April 2012 - 04:37 PM ]
…and we're not gonna take it anymore. That may only be slightly paraphrasing the movie Network, but then again, we're gamers, so we'll probably continue to "take it." We're hoping you take and enjoy our latest episode of the Aggrocast as Corey, Brian and Matt talk about the latest news, including the recent announcement for Amazon Instant Video on PS3. The guys also talk about their latest adventures in gaming - including World of Warcraft, iPad games, SNES games, Wheels of Destruction and Mass Effect 2. Our Community Spotlight this week focuses on our support for Aggrogamer's own Chief Editor, David Becker, as he attempts to break gender-stereotypes and win the Maxim Gamer Girl contest. Read More...

by Irene Collazo [ Wednesday, 4th of January 2012 - 07:28 PM ]
Talk about an oops moment. Looks like Disney let slip, and then quickly removed, an announcement for Epic Mickey 2 in a recent newsletter sent out. While this isn't the first "rumor" that there was a sequel in the works, this is definitely more proof that the title is in the works for all of you out there who enjoyed Epic Mickey. Here's what was posted and subsequently removed: Disney's Epic Mickey 2 is the latest game in the critically acclaimed Disney's Epic Mickey video game series. In this all-new action-platforming game available for Xbox 360, PlayStation 3, and Wii, Mickey embarks on an epic journey and is pulled back into a world filled with Disney's forgotten characters. Top 5 Items Pushed Into 2012
by Brian Bentley [ Wednesday, 28th of December 2011 - 05:05 PM ]
As 2011 comes to a close, it's easy to point out that once again the games industry has had an incredible year of releases. So many in fact, it would be simple to say that games pushed in to 2012 are okay because we already have so much to play. While I do not necessarily disagree with that statement, I think about the games already slated for next year that I want to play - i.e. BioShock Infinite, Final Fantasy XIII-2, Tomb Raider and XCOM - and I'm wondering when I will find the time to get into the things that were pushed back from 2011.
