Will The Wii U Be Worth It?
by Greg Tatterfield [ Tuesday, 4th of September 2012 - 05:16 PM ]
In 2006 Nintendo released the Wii which was the successor to the GameCube. The Wii had huge success in both China and North America. The Wii quickly outsold the PS3 and the XBox 360 at its low price point of $249.99 at launch. After 6 years Nintendo is planning to release their new console the Wii U sometime this year. The Wii U marks the only next generation console releasing this year. Being the first console out of the starting gate the question is will it be worth it the price? Read More...

Aggrocast Episode Ninety Eight: Pre-E3 2012 Expectations
by Brian Bentley [ Friday, 1st of June 2012 - 04:44 PM ]
It's that time again. The Electronic Entertainment Expo is looming and that means it's time for Matt, Corey and Brian to drop the gloves and pontificate the possibilities of what will happen next week at E3. The list of games the guys go over is too long to write out here...much like the podcast itself. It goes so long in fact, we had to break it up into two chunks. The bulk of it is here in Episode 98, but keep an eye here on Aggrogamer for a special bonus podcast of what happens when the discussion really heats up. Read More...

Trailer Park (11/9/11)
by Matt Waitt [ Wednesday, 9th of November 2011 - 05:47 PM ]
Alright it's time for the next installment to Trailer Park! First up we got a magnificent trailer for The Legend of Zelda: Skyward Sword for the Wii, showing off some beautiful landscapes and scenery featured in game, as well as some game play and story elements all to a gorgeous orchestral number. Now I sadly will not be getting Skyward Sword, as much as I would like to simply because I don't have a Wii and I really don't plan on ever getting one. A heavy price to pay to miss out on this gorgeous looking game. Read More...

Nintendo Drops 3DS Price, Rewards Early Adopters
by Brian Bentley [ Thursday, 28th of July 2011 - 04:01 PM ]
Nintendo recently announced that on August 12th, they will be reducing the price of the Nintendo 3DS from its original lofty $249.99 to $169.99 - a dramatic decrease. The most likely reason being they've sold less than a million units since the 3DS made its retail debut in North America at the end of March. Besides the high price, the 3DS had a few other things going against it: poor software library, no internet browser, lack of an online virtual store and the thrill over 3D is waning some in the general populace. Still, it all comes down to dollars and sense. Read More...

E3 2011 Impressions: Luigi's Mansion 2
by Brian Bentley [ Monday, 13th of June 2011 - 03:37 PM ]
During the Nintendo E3 Press Conference, before the ooo’s and ahhh’s of the Wii-U unveiling and videos, there was the announcement of a sequel of the much maligned Luigi’s Mansion to be made for the Nintendo 3DS. With Luigi’s Mansion 2, Nintendo hopes to capture a new audience through the portable platform to formulate a new, bankable franchise. Let’s face it; the original Luigi’s Mansion on the Nintendo GameCube received a bad rep. Read More...

Nintendo's New HD Console
by Matt Waitt [ Friday, 22nd of April 2011 - 10:12 PM ]
According to some anonymous sources with knowledge of Nintendo's Project Cafe the new HD console will go for anywhere between $350 USD and $400 USD and could be launched as early as this October. Although speculations say it could be released as late as next year to allow more consoles, software and games to be prepared for launch. I say having the console release next year would be a wise decision. Having more units and games for a launch date is a smart choice. Read More...
