I am a student still, entering my junior year. I am training in professional writing. I have a love for words and telling stories. In the future, I hope to work for a place like BioWare or Bethesda, maybe a place like Wizards of the Coast. I want to work in games of all kinds. I keep myself in practice writing short stories and a weekly blog.

Now to the fun stuff, games. I've been playing games since the N64. I remember when my babysitter would come over and hook his N64 up to our projector and play The Legends of Zelda: Ocarina of Time on big screen. He got me and my older brother hooked into games. I have a soft spot for Nintendo, if only because I love the Legends of Zelda, but I'm a big Sony man. The PS2 was an awesome system and I love my PS3. I'm drawn more towards Platformers and Adventure games, typically single player, but I do drop into some M.A.G. and a few fighters. If you want to find me and play some, my PSN name is link-king. Don't judge, it's from when I was 16.

I'm also a huge PC gamer since I got a functional laptop. I love Steam like there's no tomorrow. Last time I checked, my Steam account had some 146 games. So I play a lot. Team Fortress 2 is my main go-to game. I'm probably a little too obsessed with it, considering I have about 580 hours invested in it. I also really enjoy Killing Floor, Super Monday Night Combat and Dungeon Defenders. I'm willing to try all kinds of things, and Indy titles have recently been a huge draw for me. Also, oddly enough, I really like those visual novels I've seen cropping up, "games" like Digital: A Love Story, and Katawa Shoujo. I like games with good storytelling, games with great game play, and games that are a good balance of the two. If you want to play some on Steam, my name is steam_scarecrow, though I'll be online as frozen_scarecrow. For some reason they censor the steam part of my username.

Then some random interests, just so you know me a bit better. I enjoy cartoons, especially from when I was a kid. Samurai Jack was great, and Teen Titans is still cool. I also like Anime, like Avatar the Last Airbender and Gundam. I like hats and I'm almost always wearing one. There are people I know who have never seen me without a hat. On the flip side, I hate shoes and go barefoot as often as possible, even in the winter. I'm from Green Bay, Wisconsin; and yes, that does make me a Packers fan, though I don't hold it against anyone. I also enjoy smoking a pipe, though I don't do it too often.

I hope that my writing will help create some variety on this website and that's it is both entertaining and enlightening. This is my first gig as a game writer, but I hope to continue on with it for a long time. Contact me, play games with me, talk to me, I'd love to share my love of games with others like me. Games are an amazing medium, and we're still gaining speed and recognition. I'm exciting and I hope you are as well.
