by David 'Hades' Becker [ Friday, 14th of March 2014 - 09:00 PM ]
A Lot Has Gone On This Week. Here's A Recap Of What We Covered In Gaming. This has really been the week of reviews in gaming hasn't it? We reviewed Castlevania: Lords Of Shadow 2, The Walking Dead — S2E2, South Park: The Stick Of Truth, and Race The Sun. There are still more in the pipe at that but it has been one crazy week of reviews for all of you to ingest and get our informed opinion about the games that matter right now. Reviews aside, there have been some interesting developments for Mirror's Edge 2 and Tales From The Borderlands at that. I still can't believe that there is a rumor that ME2 is going to reboot the entire franchise yet still carry the numbered title. Read More...

Are There Any Games That Make The Wii U Worth It?
by Dakota B. Johnson [ Friday, 21st of February 2014 - 08:00 PM ]
Games make a console worthwhile but are there any that will revitalize the Wii U? Any that will 'sale' the console? I am a huge Nintendo fan but it has really gone downhill for me in the past two console generations. This brings me to the question, "Are there any games that make the Wii U worth buying?" I am not the typical Nintendo guy who gets a new system every time a Pokémon, Zelda, Mario, or Smash Bros. game comes out. Read More...

Review: Origin's Branded BlackWidow Keyboard & Taipan Mouse
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Wednesday, 12th of February 2014 - 08:00 PM ]
We sit down and review some Origin PC Branded Gaming Peripherals from Razer. What makes them better than the basic versions? What makes them worse? When you are a gamer on a PC you need to have the best of the best. Be it to keep up with the ever changing graphics and system requirements of game engines or just to have the fastest response time to a game's mechanics. The latter obviously done with the input devices you connect to your PC, wired or wireless. Well, we got a chance to play around with some of Origin's gaming peripherals that need to be up to par with the gaming systems that they pump out. Read More...

We had a few new writers contribute. Hells, there was even a day where it seemed that all we were getting in the news was from Square Enix. You know the day I am talking about. Well, sometimes things fall through the cracks or are blocked on Facebook as per The Zuckerberg initiative. Read More...

Razor Is Proving The Power In The Size Of A Dime With The Blade Pro
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Tuesday, 4th of June 2013 - 10:35 PM ]
I remember my first laptop computer as if it were only a few years ago. It was probably about three inches think, felt like 20 lbs in heft, and could barely keep up with even most of the 'eMachines' currently on the market. That was a gaming laptop from 2004 mind you, but it was top of the line and one of the most powerful out there at the time. Now, almost a decade later we are getting a new gaming laptop that is not only about as powerful as a desktop, but just a bit thinner than a dime when shut and lighter than the smallest weights in my gym. If you haven't already skipped to the video below, what we have here is Razor's new Blade and Blade Pro systems currently available for pre-order. Read More...

The State of Gaming: Publishers
by Fred Buell [ Wednesday, 30th of May 2012 - 10:18 PM ]
You all may have noticed lately the onslaught of things like Online Passes, On-Disc DLC, and DLC that have been announced and made before release. Many of you may be under the impression the publisher/developers are just being greedy and trying to squeeze out every penny from you. What you don’t know is the inner-workings behind the scenes. The publishers are losing money this gen due to higher cost of development, and lower economies. They also have long standing arrangements with stores like GameStop where if a game flops they will buy back the product at full price or eat the cost and make zero money back if the store decides to price cut it down to move inventory. Review: Grand Prix Story
by Brian Bentley [ Wednesday, 10th of August 2011 - 05:17 PM ]
Mobile gaming has come a long way in terms of game design and depth. One of the leading developers in this area is Kairosoft. Their first big hit, Game Dev Story, turned a lot of heads, gaining critical acclaim for their simulation of running a video game development studio. Their latest release on the Android platform is Grand Prix Story – a simulation of running an automobile racing team. Start your smart phones! You start out by choosing your racing team’s name. Want To Help Out XBox LIVE? It May Cost You Online Gaming
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Friday, 11th of March 2011 - 12:56 AM ]
Well it looks like the network guys over at Microsoft are looking to better improve things for the XBox LIVE users. They have not said exactly what yet, but you can be a part of this test if you so choose to. That is if you can go almost the rest of the month without online gaming with your XBox. Oh and also movies/Netflix and music downloading as well. Who does those things on the XBox anyways? Oh that's right, a good portion of us gamers out there. Read More...

Review: The AGlove, It's So Rad
by Corey Dockendorf [ Tuesday, 8th of March 2011 - 10:21 PM ]
Recently I just got back from vacation in Utah where I took on their cold weather, snow and a Park City Bobsled Run; all in the same day. As I was waiting for one of my buddies to finish their run, I thought I would play a little Gun Bros on my android phone. Now picture this. I'm on a mountain, in the freezing cold, standing in snow and about to take out my TOUCH-SCREEN phone and play a game. Impossible, I know. Normally I would desperately try to get enough heat to the tips of my fingers to actually use the touch screen just to unlock the stupid thing. Read More...

A Nightclub For The Social Gamer
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Monday, 31st of January 2011 - 05:29 PM ]
Ok, so this is either a genius idea or one of the worst ideas that is going to flop and just make a few people poorer. The idea being a nightclub tailored specifically for gamers. A Las Vegas nightclub at that too. All slated to open its doors to the public here in a few months allowing gamers and non-gamers the chance to drop their cash on everything expected at a nightclub and videogames. As I alluded, I am mixed on this idea. I'm going to tell you why. Read More...

Review: PDP's Collector's Edition Tron Wii Remote
by Corey Dockendorf [ Monday, 17th of January 2011 - 09:46 PM ]
By Matthew Dockendorf I recently received an awesome piece of equipment from the company PDP gaming. Many out there know them as the creators of Afterglow controllers. I got a chance to test one of their newer products, the Collector's Edition Light up Tron Wii remote. First of all, everything about it looks fantastic. The sleek black blue and white remote came with an easy open magnetic black collectors box, complete with rainbow holographic certificate of authenticity on the inside lid. I won't lie. Read More...
