Artist PWN Classic Views
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Monday, 28th of April 2008 - 03:58 PM ]
Realistically Painted Bowser So it looks like it is becoming a big new fun thing to redo some classic characters and make them look real. That is, photoshop a person to have the actual body type of say Mario or Homer Simpson. If you haven't seen them ye, I will warn you that they are kind of creepy to look at. Just think how a real person would look if they had their proportions and brace yourself. This new one though is a nicely painted version of how Bowser would look if he was actually in the real world. Read More...

Sick Children Will Soon PWN More
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Wednesday, 23rd of April 2008 - 04:21 PM ]
360 Kiosks Coming to Children's Hospitals I'll be first to say I am not a huge fan of Microsoft, but there are some times when I have to swallow my pride I said Pride you pervs. :) and give them the kudos they deserve some times. This is yet another one of those times. Why? Because they are actually teaming up with Companions in Courage to hook up the cut for Children's hospitals. What is that slang I said? Microsoft is helping out by giving 360 kiosks to be placed into hospitals for children. Read More...

Today my boyfriend bought me a gift, completely out of the blue. The Guinness World Records: Gamer’s Edition. This gift was right up my alley and it is awesome. This is the first time Guinness has devoted a book exclusively to games. Gamer’s Edition has chapters of the most amazing gaming feats, highest scores, best selling games, and small facts that you might not know. There is also a website where you can try to make the Guinness World Record book with your own game score (www.guinnessworldrecords. Read More...

PWN Your XBox Heat
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Monday, 7th of April 2008 - 04:10 PM ]
Water Cooled 360 So here is something completely random I came across while searching for fun stuff to inform you all about. A Water Cooled 360 mod. Yes, you saw and read right. It is a fully functional mod to water cool the system. The best part, the link below actually gives you the step by step to actually do the mod yourself at home. If you are interested, click it cause I'm not going to go into details about it here. Just a word to the wise though, I'm sure that it will violate the warranty for the system, so you run that risk. by Stephanie Naboshek [ Sunday, 6th of April 2008 - 11:28 PM ]
Well as many of us know, I'm a regular at the Dallas based anime convention A-kon. A-Kon, for those of you who don't know, is also the lonest running Anime Convention in America. It's one of the largest too. Recently the people over at A-KON anounced incredible news. A-kon is going to attempt to break The Guinness Book record for most  'Most Video Game Costumes in One Place'. Now as a regular at A-kon I can assure you that we've broken that record yearly.  Last year A-KON saw an estimated of 10,000 plus ppl nerding it up at the Adams Mark hotel in Dallas. Read More...

Missbimbo.com: A site for young girls?
by Alyssa Porter [ Tuesday, 25th of March 2008 - 05:35 PM ]
As a young woman trying to make it in a mostly male dominated field, it sometimes hurts to see a game that is teaching little girls the wrong thing. A new site has been brought to my attention and I am utterly disgusted. Missbimbo.com is a dress up doll website where young girls and boys of any age are given their own semi naked girl to raise her to be the biggest bimbo. This Internet craze is all the rage in Europe. This site launched only one month ago and already has 200,000 British players, most of them young girls. Read More...

CheaterMcCheat

Hammer Comes Down On Xbox Live Cheaters We all hate cheaters don't we? We all like to have a good laugh at someone when they get busted right? Its funny cause it's not me is a great saying. Well Microsoft is giving us two awesome things then. They are cracking down on cheaters or those who tamper with their Gamerscore and Achievements. How they are cracking down is listed below, but the best part is the sample they gave of how the account will be labeled on their community pages and the in dash views. I almost cried laugh at first. Boston Six Packer
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Friday, 21st of March 2008 - 08:34 PM ]
Boston Rock Band DLC So I like being the barer of fun news. That and I like giving you all the fun new stuff I run across. And it looks like Harmonix posted a little earlier than they usually do, the new downloads for next week. Much like the Grateful Dead pack, except it is Boston this time around. Some of the songs sound like will pretty fun on guitar. Not as brutal as Thrasher, but just another good 6 to add to the already large list of songs that are available on Rock Band. Read More...

Loads Of Band Stuff
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Thursday, 20th of March 2008 - 04:31 PM ]
Rock Band Multiple Updates Ok, so instead of doing a bunch of different write-ups on this topic, I figured I would just lump them all together into one. 3 is a charm here. First, Rock Band just announced that they have sold over 6 million DLC songs since the games release. That of course is just insane to think about. At least to me. I probably wouldn't have believed it if it wasn't for the press release that they sent out about it all. Read More...

Another Bad Boy In Politics
by Aaron BlueWolf72 Molloy [ Wednesday, 12th of March 2008 - 05:45 PM ]
The tables have been turned on Rockwall County District Attorney Ray Sumrow, who, rather than prosecuting others, now himself stands accused of misappropriating funds to buy a souped-up gaming PC for his office. As reported by Kotaku: Prosecutors say the computer, which was loaded with eBay sales, personal emails and a cheat sheet for a computer game, is equipped with two hard drives, seven fans, high-end video and audio cards, a wireless Internet connection and cables that glow under ultraviolet light. Everything Is So....Bluuuuuuu...
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Saturday, 8th of March 2008 - 10:47 PM ]
Sony Is In Talk About Blu-Ray For Other Machines So after the striking blow to HD-DVD Drive, from Toshiba and backed up with Circuit City, Sony looks like they are trying to help spread their tech out there. Like before, they are talking about making the Blu-Ray player available on all formats. Of course this has to be one of those ego things for Sony, but tey aren't leaving anyone behind. This claim came from Stan Glasgow and he states that they are in discussions about this whole thing. So hopefully we will see some good come out of this whole "Format War" soon. Read More...

Issues With A Bully?
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Thursday, 6th of March 2008 - 10:02 PM ]
Rockstar Apologizes For And Is Working On 360 Bully Now that I've suckered you into the article, time to mess you up. I'll try not to mess you up as bad as Rockstar has made it seem that they have messed up. Apparently their testing and QA department didn't catch all of the bugs in the game before release. Let me list them for you: Serious frame rate issues Audio glitches Freezing At least those are the ones reported thus far. Sam Houser had this to say about the whole things to boot. Read More...
