Rock Band 4 Will Be Making A Full Jump To The Next-Gen
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Wednesday, 14th of October 2020 - 09:00 PM ]
Rock Band It has been confirmed that Rock Band 4, its DLC and all of the current-gen Rock Band instruments will be going next-gen It was known that Rock Band 4 was going to be making the jump into the next-gen realm for a bit now as it has been left off the list of games that would not be hitting the PS5 and Xbox Series X. Those lists are generally so short now that it seems odd to state when games will be making the leap over via an update or backward compatibility. When it comes to this one, there is a bit more to take in as there are years of DLC and controllers that we have spent money on and it would be nice to know if we can keep the Rock Band fun going after the next-gen systems hit. Spider-Man: Miles Morales Takes On His First Boss Here
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Wednesday, 14th of October 2020 - 05:00 PM ]
Miles Morales The first boss fight for Spider-Man: Miles Morales is shown off with Miles Morales taking on a villain we barely saw before now It should be easy to assume we would see some of the past villains making their way back into Spider-Man: Miles Morales when it hits the PS4 and PS5 next month. Both titles from Insomniac Games are linked and carry the same story so it would be weird if none of that actually happened. That is why it is not too shocking to see the first villain we will be facing in Spider-Man: Miles Morales will be one that was taken care of rather quickly in the previous title. Read More...

There Is More To The Story Coming For Sackboy: A Big Adventure
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Tuesday, 13th of October 2020 - 07:00 PM ]
Sackboy We have a new story trailer for Sackboy: A Big Adventure to help highlight how Sackboy is going to be the Knitted Knight we need Sackboy has gone through a whole lot since he first came on the scene in LittleBigPlanet. Not only in the crazy worlds we build to torment him and his friends in, but also in the way of the various story campaigns in those games that have come out over the years. We are just about a month out from Sackboy: A Big Adventure dropping on the PS4 and PS5, so it is about time to see what Sumo Digital is going to put this little guy through yet again here. It does look like it will be more focused on that aspect of the traditional setting of the game than the building and dreaming sections we have normally seen in these titles. Read More...

by David 'Hades' Becker [ Friday, 9th of October 2020 - 11:00 PM ]
Video Games A lot has gone on this week in video games. Here is a recap of what we covered in the world of video games on the site this week We finally had a week where we did not have an overwhelming negative thing going on for any of our video games. Sure, there we a few things here and there but no massive delays and a whole lot of set release dates for various titles now. We now know when Outriders is coming and that we will see The Medium before the end of the year. That and a nice new look at Watch Dogs: Legion to hold us over until it launches. Read More...

Dive Even Deeper Into How The Dark Pictures: Little Hope Is Crafted
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Thursday, 8th of October 2020 - 07:00 PM ]
Little Hope New developer diaries are here for The Dark Pictures: Little Hope to show how the motion capture team is bringing Little Hope further to life October 30th is just around the corner at this point and we will get to kick back with some friend, maybe, and give The Dark Pictures: Little Hope a nice little playthrough on the PS4, Xbox One, or PC. Sure, we do not need to be in the same location to give that a try but that is what the Movie Night function is for here. That is not why we are here, though, as we have more to look at on how Supermassive Games is crafting this fun narrative and some of the technology going into it. Read More...

Review — Crash Bandicoot 4: It’s About Time
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Wednesday, 7th of October 2020 - 09:00 PM ]
Crash Bandicoot We sit down and review Crash Bandicoot: It’s About Time. The famed platformer is back & bringing friends. Here is our review of Crash Bandicoot 4 The title says it all as it is about time that we had a new Crash Bandicoot game out there and not just another remake or remasters as Toys For Bob could have done. Instead, we got the fourth numbered one here for the PS4 and Xbox One to bring us all back into the franchise or introduce new gamers to it. Yes, we know there have been many in between now and then but this one actually has the number four with it. Read More...

This Week In Video Games 9/28/20 — 10/2/20
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Friday, 2nd of October 2020 - 11:00 PM ]
Video Games A lot has gone on this week in video games. Here is a recap of what we covered in the world of video games on the site this week Just like every other week here in 2020, it has been one hells of a week for everything with all of the video games included too. It was not as dramatic as other events in the world, but we had some great looks at all of the fun distractions we will have out there instead. Even if we have to wait a bit for Black Ops Cold War, Assassin’s Creed Valhalla, and Cyberpunk 2077. It could be worse than the short month or so we have but that is why we get those free video games as we do for the Xbox One and PS4 next week. Read More...

The Zombies Are Now Loose For Call Of Duty: Black Ops Cold War
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Wednesday, 30th of September 2020 - 09:00 PM ]
Call Of Duty Our first look at Call Of Duty: Black Ops Cold War’s zombies is here to show how it will evolve over the past versions of it in the Call Of Duty franchise Here we go with the first look at the upcoming zombies mode in for Call Of Duty: Black Ops Cold War. For those out of the loop, somehow, this is the multiplayer mode that has us fighting and gunning down waves of the undead in the timeline of part of the game. Usually a mode that has us fighting and dying over and overall so we can get bits of a story out of Treyarch on where it is all going here. That has been my experience with zombies in the past Call Of Duty titles at least. Read More...

Get A Taste For Blood With The Story For Assassin’s Creed Valhalla
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Tuesday, 29th of September 2020 - 07:00 PM ]
Assassin’s Creed More of the story is here for Assassin’s Creed Valhalla as we build into the next big outing for the Assassin’s Creed franchise Here we go with more of the story for Assassin’s Creed Valhalla and just how some of the events have been building up to this new bit. There is obviously more than just being an assassin and a Viking in this one, and this new bit gives us just a taste of that. Ubisoft would be a bit daft to just go down the basic path after the last few great entries they have given us for Assassin’s Creed, and it looks like we will have something delivered here. We will not know for certain until November 10th, sure, but this is a great showing of a bit more of what we could expect in the game here. Read More...

by David 'Hades' Becker [ Monday, 28th of September 2020 - 07:00 PM ]
Observer New gameplay for Observer: System Redux is here from TGS 2020 and shows off some of the new content coming to Observer when this version launches It looks like we finally have more to look at for the upcoming Observer: System Redux besides just how the visuals and audio have been upgraded to work better on the PS5 and Xbox Series X. In fact, fresh out of the TGS 2020 it looks like Bloober Team is offering up a look at not one but two of the upcoming content expansions coming to the game as well. All of which will link into the core story for Observer and not just be something extra to bring us back in with little point of reference. Read More...

This Week In Video Games 9/21/20 — 9/25/20
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Friday, 25th of September 2020 - 11:00 PM ]
Video Games A lot has gone on this week in video games. Here is a recap of what we covered in the world of video games on the site this week This really did feel like a lighter week for video games but still a fun one indeed. That could be due to the fact that the TGS is going on right now and everyone was holding their big announcements and showings until then. I mean, Resident Evil Village had something but not to the level some expected. Then there were some of the smaller titles like Ghostrunner and Twin Mirror that head their time to shine this week. by David 'Hades' Becker [ Friday, 25th of September 2020 - 09:00 PM ]
Second Extinction New gameplay for Second Extinction is here and it shows off how some of the missions and action will play out in Second Extinction I know I have been waiting for some solid gameplay to come out for Second Extinction and it looks like the wait is about over, as that is what has been offered up to us here today. Even if it is all in an early form before Systemic Reaction gives gamers a chance to take on all of these dinos in the Early Access and then release on PC and Xbox systems. I mean, who has not been waiting for a good dinosaur shooter in the video game realm for a while now? Read More...
