This Week In Video Games 5/10/21 — 5/14/21
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Friday, 14th of May 2021 - 11:00 PM ]
Video Games A lot has gone on this week in video games. Here is a recap of what we covered in the world of video games on the site this week Here we go with a wrapping of another slow week in the realm of video games here. Slow in the way of not the biggest of news flowing out there but there was still something to highlight and talk about. Even if it was about the new DLC for Assassin’s Creed Valhalla or the new platforms for Layers Of Fear 2. We did get to end it all with some new gameplay for Biomutant and Ratchet & Clank: Rift Apart among some various other updates for some smaller video games as well. Read More...

Stargate: Timekeepers Announced To Carry The Story On Just A Bit More
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Wednesday, 12th of May 2021 - 09:00 PM ]
Stargate A new Stargate title is coming with the announcement that Stargate: Timekeepers will be taking some of the story into an RTS setting It looks like one more crack at the IP is coming with the latest announcement for Stargate: Timekeepers. Yes, we have more building into the IP and story with Creative Forge Games taking a swing to see if they can do what many others out there have not been able to do. That is to give us a solid Stargate video game that does not seem like a cash grab for the diehard fans that have been following for so long. It sounds like a massive undertaking, but this one will be an RTS on the PC that has a slight advantage to it all. Read More...

The Wrath Of The Druids Is Upon Us In Assassin’s Creed Valhalla
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Wednesday, 12th of May 2021 - 07:00 PM ]
Assassin’s Creed The first major expansion for Assassin’s Creed Valhalla is almost here and will take us to new lands in the Assassin’s Creed universe It feels like it might have taken just a bit of a while, but here we go with the first expansion coming for Assassin’s Creed Valhalla. I say all of that due to the fact that Ubisoft generally churns these things and DLC out rather quickly from the official launch of the core games. Now on May 13th, those that have the season pass for Assassin’s Creed Valhalla or are looking for a stand-alone adventure will be able to jump right in and see what it all has to offer up. We are getting a chance to head into some unfamiliar territory for our characters and the IP in general, so that is always a fun thing to look forward to. Read More...

by David 'Hades' Becker [ Thursday, 6th of May 2021 - 07:00 PM ]
Resident Evil The final trailer for Resident Evil Village is here to tease the Resident Evil fans a bit more if they have not tried to spoil the game already For some of us out there, the wait carries on for the release for Resident Evil Village. The date is still set down for tomorrow, May 7th, before anyone starts to worry that Capcom did a last-second delay. It is just worth noting that there is a whole lot of gameplay flooding the market right now for Resident Evil Village and for those, like us, that want to go in blind, it is going to be a little bit of minefield until you can spin the game up. May the gods bless you in dodging all of that. Read More...

V Rising A new survival game, V Rising, is announced here with V Rising placing us in the role of a vampire just trying to survive along the way It is time to mix up the survival game genre a little bit with the announcement and reveal for V Rising that we have here today. Usually, we are playing a basic survivor in a world that is overrun with some other kind of horror and we need to survive all of that. In this one, Stunlock Studios is flipping it a bit as we are playing a newer created vampire in the world of V Rising and we will be surviving all of the humans out there trying to bring us all down. All while we are trying to raise ourselves up to the level of power and fear that many give to Dracula over the many years that he has been rolling around the world drinking blood and slaying everything in the way of all of that.
