Final PSP?
by Binh Nguyen [ Friday, 15th of May 2009 - 10:12 AM ]
All those rumors about the PSP Go, all those rumors about a UMD-free PSP, and all those rumors about Sony announcing a new PSP at E3. Well it seems Sony is not finished with the current version of the PSP, as they are going to release a new bundle PSP with Dissidia: Final Fantasy. If you do not know by now, Dissidia: Final Fantasy is not another Final Fantasy RPG, but rather a Final Fantasy fighting game (no it is not another Ehrgeiz) and will include the main characters from all of the Final Fantasy titles in this game. Packaged in the bundle, you will get a “Mystic Silver” PSP-3000 system, Dissidia: Final Fantasy game, Final Fantasy VII Advent Children UMD, and a 2GB Memory Stick Duo. I know most of you will hate this part, but this bundle will only be a Gamestop exclusive. Read More...

The Fighting Styles of UFC 2009: Undisputed
by Jesse [ Thursday, 14th of May 2009 - 10:08 PM ]
Earlier in the week I explored the three striking fighting styles in UFC 2009: Undisputed and whether you choose Boxing, Kickboxing, or Muay Thai, each has their own strengths and weaknesses. But standing on the feet is only one half of Undisputed. Every fighter on the roster and every fighter you create will also be able to make use of one of the three grappling fighting styles along with one of the three striking styles. For those thinking of taking the fight to the ground though, understand that there are more ways to win a match than on your feet. When striking it’s always about the knockout. Read More...

Playstation 3 2.76 Software Update = Live
by Ben Brody [ Thursday, 14th of May 2009 - 06:41 AM ]
So the inFamous compatibility 2.76 update for the PS3 "improves the playback quality of some PS3 format software. and you will no longer have to restart a game to display trophies after a hard drive upgrade or if you restore from the backup" (like we do that SO much). The software update is most likely aimed at issues that arose during the testing of inFamous, the new game coming from Sucker Punch. GO DOWNLOAD IT NOW WOOOT! *missing from the update is the ability to do cross-game invitations, cross-game microphone chatting, or anything that makes playing a game as easy as XBOX Live. Ghostly Multiplayer Madness
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Wednesday, 13th of May 2009 - 11:04 PM ]
Ghostbusters Game Trailer It makes total sense for this game to have a multiplayer aspect to it. Albeit, limited to four people multiplayer, but multiplayer none the less. What fun would it be if you could only have one of the Busters active by a player at a time? Especially with the others possibly being run by an AI that could be poor. Don't need another Sheva incident, if you know what I mean. The below video shows off all the fun madness of the multiplayer, as well as some of the new weapons and enemies for the Ghostbusters world. Read More...

Live The Life Of An Elite Agent
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Wednesday, 13th of May 2009 - 09:29 PM ]
New-ish Facts About SOE's The Agency Do you remember a while back, like last year when The Agency was suppose to come out to market? All there was for the game was a short video clip showing off some of the antics and very little game play for Sony's new MMO. Then things just kind of went dead as far as anything new coming out about the game. Well other than the fact that it kept getting pushed back and no solid release window in sight. I'm guessing that all rings a bell now. Read More...

Katamari Forever
by Jesse [ Wednesday, 13th of May 2009 - 08:31 PM ]
This fall is going to bring plenty of games worth checking out, but if there’s one title that deserves a little bit of the spotlight it’s Katamari Forever. As a PS3 exclusive, Katamari Forever is the latest in the popular, but often underrated, Katamari Damacy series. Once again the cosmos are in danger as the King of All Cosmos has fallen into a coma. In his absence the very stars begin to disappear from the night sky. Our only chance is the Prince and his impeccable Katamari rolling abilities. Read More...

TF2's Sniper Update: Something You Can Get Stuck On
by Brian Bentley [ Wednesday, 13th of May 2009 - 10:39 AM ]
With the next batch of achievements and weapon unlocks announced and mentioned difficulty in deciding on an alternate weapon for the sniper rifle, it looks as if our good friends at Valve have managed to come up with an idea and now the Sniper Update is upon us.  Called the "Huntsman" it is a bow-and-arrow for a slightly more in-your-face approach to playing this class. A sniper worth his weight with this weapon could lead a charge into the enemy base.  Provided with invulnerability, the skilled bowman could pin everyone to the walls waltzing into the intelligence room as his enemies wait to be freed or killed. The Fighting Styles of UFC 2009: Undisputed
by Jesse [ Tuesday, 12th of May 2009 - 05:51 PM ]
We’re a week away from the release of UFC 2009: Undisputed and even though it’s early, there are plenty of reasons for MMA fans to be excited. Perhaps the biggest draw is the depth of the game engine which seems to accurately recreate nearly every aspect of a mixed martial arts bout. As a result, this presents a very unique and fun challenge which is trying to decide what fighting style is going to work the best and be the most effective for you. Whether you’re using 1 of the more than 60 UFC fighters in the game or choosing to take your own created warrior into the cage, deciding the best technique for your style of play can be the difference between seeing your hand raised in victory or having your teeth shoved down your throat. Today is all about standing in the pocket and going toe-to-toe with another fighter. Read More...

by Michael Camacho [ Tuesday, 12th of May 2009 - 11:08 AM ]
EPISODE 27: Michael, Brian and Binh are back with the brand new Aggrocast Hello faithful readers and listeners. As many may know, when we launched Aggrogamer.com, we brought the Pwned.com Podcast, Total Meltdown, over with us. We changed the name of it to the more suitable title of Aggrocast. We retain the same cast of Michael (G-Nitro), Brian (Quiglin), and Binh (Church). We also kept the same format but moved around a bit to settle in properly with the site, and we also made sure the same craziness, humor and entertainment is still there. With that, we hope you enjoy the new Aggrocast, as we really enjoyed being back on the podcast scene after a few weeks off. Read More...

Street Fighter IV PC gets a free bonus!
by Ben Brody [ Sunday, 10th of May 2009 - 05:39 AM ]
Or so Capcom thinks. Either way, anybody that picks up SFIV for the PC will get a MadCatz Fightpad for free. The game is priced a bit higher than most PC games at $59.99 but a $39.99 game plus a $39.99 fightpad is good enough for me. Gamers may wonder why MadCatz is so busy making PC fightpads when there is a shortage of console ones, but the fact is is that nobody wants to play Street Fighter with a mouse and keyboard (awaits barrage of ppl yelling at me that they play it on an emulator with a keyboard all the time).Capcom will release Street Fighter IV (Games for Windows Live for those that don't know) on July 7th here in the States. by Michael Camacho [ Saturday, 9th of May 2009 - 03:30 PM ]
Less than a month ago, it was announced that the SNK Witch Touching series, Doki Doki Majo Shinpan would be getting a new title this summer (Read the article here). The new title Doki Majo Plus, which will be set on an island beach during summer break, has finally released new screens. With the new screens, comes news of more mini-games this time around. No clear specifics on what the mini-games will consist of, but be sure they will add more variety to the game than just battles and witch checking.  Battles will be getting an upgrade with a new powerful technique that won't require the user to use their magic.
