Valve has announced that they will be doing a major overhaul of their popular Steam service. Blizzard a while back made mention that players would be able to group together (same faction) and be able to run through random dungeons together across servers. Crazy I know, but it is Blizzard. The Real ID Party system went into live testing today and players will be able to experience cross-realm game play with friends. It is in and it makes Resident Evil: Operation Raccoon City look like a load of fun. The trailer also makes all of the screen shots look like there were originally working it out for the Wii. Well isn't this a little bit of interesting. Looks like the team that brought us Spider-Man: Shattered Dimensions is no longer ok with keeping their game just hopping dimensions, now they want to go through time too with Spider-Man: Edge Of Time. Edge Of Time being the latest title just announced from Beenox, Marvel and Activision. At this time the story for the game is pretty much this: Spider-Man: Edge Of Time challenges the player to take on the roles of both classic Amazing Spider-Man and Spider-Man 2099 to correct a time-stream gone awry and prevent a catastrophic future brought on by the early and untimely death of Peter Parker. Dungeon Siege III is a little more than two months away and I can hardly contain my excitement. We recently got a video highlighting the latest ally that will be available in game and this girl is fierce. Katarina Vignette is a ranged death dealing machine and the third ally to be announced. Trained in the ways of nomads, she uses Guns, Magic and a black hound to pretty much eviscerate her enemies. The 10th legion did well when they recruited her. Just announced is a new HD version for both titles that will be coming to XBox Live Marketplace and the PlayStation Network sometime this fall.
