A Lot Has Gone On This Week. Here's A Recap Of What We Covered In Video Games This week in video game news can totally be summed up with delays and Mortal Kombat X. Hells, even Mortal Kombat X had a delay announcement for the last gen systems. Nothing like what happened to Uncharted 4 and Homefront being delayed until 2016 but at least nothing was cancelled. This of course is all to go along with the showing off of two titles coming out here soon; Battlefield Hardline and Bloodborne. New footage for the Mortal Kombat X mobile app has been released and shows off how the game will be played It seems to be Mortal Kombat X week over here as we had the character announcements earlier and now we have a nice taste of the mobile game's gameplay. Just below you can see how Mortal Kombat X is going to handle on the Android version of the app but it should be safe to assume that it will run about the same on the iOS version as there doesn't look to be anything platform specific here at all. While confirming the release date for Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain, Konami also has released a look at the collector's edition and new details for the MGO mode we've seen in the past Yesterday we had the "leaked" announcement of the Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain's release date and to no big surprise it has been confirmed by Konami that it is going to be September 1st. That's not why we are here though. It looks like the big countdown for Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain's IGN exclusive has been leaked out and now we have a release date for the game Finally we have a release date for Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain and if you haven't seen it in the image above, it will be hitting the PS3, PS4, Xbox 360, Xbox One, and PC all on the same date around the world. Warner Bros. and NetherRealm have announced that Mortal Kombat X will be getting a mobile version of the game to give all access to Mortal Kombat X You read that correctly. Mortal Kombat X is coming to mobile devices now. It may not be in the same way you may be thinking but it will get to add multiple more devices for us all to experience the world of Mortal Kombat X. Granted the mobile version will be a fighting/card-battler game instead of the traditional Mortal Kombat we are used to but NetherRealm is looking to keep expanding the universe and in doing so this gives all of us a few more bonuses for Mortal Kombat X in the long run. ScreamRide has a new launcher trailer and a bit of information on the Demo that is available today for the Xbox One and Xbox 360 ScreamRide had to be one of the more bizarre titles I saw at E3 during the Microsoft Conference. This would be the title from Frontier Developments where we will get to make some insane roller coaster or amusement rides all in the vein of generating screams. More or less a torture simulator when you split hairs only that the NPCs involved in the game don't seem to get injured and love being placed in life-threatening situations. A fresh batch of screenshots for Rise Of The Tomb Raider have been released and ready to be ripped apart by all of us waiting for the next title in the franchise Last week we had a nice look at the new environment design for Rise Of The Tomb Raider. Crystal Dynamics will be taking us on a lovely romp through Russia in the next game so we know it is going to be filled with all kinds of snow and dangerous locations for Lara to get into trouble. Sadly then that was really all we had to go with outside of a few little clips from videos past. New listings on Amazon show a Darksiders 2 Definitive edition as well as a few other Nordic Games titles coming to the PS4 and Xbox One I'd start by saying that the Darksiders 2: Definitive Edition for the PS4 and Xbox One was a rumor except that as of this time Amazon Still has the page live for pre-order from Nordic Games. So pretty much we can expect to see Death gracing our next gen systems sometime this year after being remastered by Nordic Games. Some may scoff at the idea of another "remaster" title coming out instead of a brand new IP but Darksiders 2 was a title that I personally think everyone should play and very few did so on the PS3 and Xbox 360 so here is a chance to remedy that gamers.
