Street Fighter X Tekken, What More Do You Want?
by Binh Nguyen [ Tuesday, 27th of July 2010 - 08:40 PM ]
So what do you get when you take two completely different universes and mash them together into one game? No, I am not talking about Marvel vs. Capcom or Super Smash Bros. I am talking about probably one of the biggest mash up to date. At Comic-Con Capcom and Namco have come out to announce Street Fighter X Tekken. This new fighter will utilize the same technology that has been used for Street Fighter IV and Super Street Fighter IV where we will get to see Tekken characters like Kazuya Mishima and Nina Williams will make the jump into the new universe being re-imagined using the art style of Street Fighter IV. Oh don't worry, they will still look and feel like Tekken characters we all love. Read More...

Street Fighter: Legacy
by Corey Dockendorf [ Tuesday, 4th of May 2010 - 10:40 PM ]
I know what your thinking, "damn another crappy Street Fighter film," but that's not the case here. This new adaptation looks fantastic, and true to the style and impact that so many Street Fighter fans have felt over the years. This is a movie for the fans. Joey Ansah is a stuntman (last see in Bourne Ultimatum) with a passion, a passion for the Street Fighter franchise. Ansah has personally expressed what so many fans of the game have felt every time a mention of a new Street Fighter movie was announced: "As an actor, film maker and a fan, I have been repeatedly disappointed by the many diluted, un faithful and outright butchered movie adaptations of fighting video games. It was clear to me, that given the way the movie industry worked, we would never see a super faithful, darker toned and more adult themed (or just plain good! Read More...

Review: Super Street Fighter IV
by 345 [ Friday, 30th of April 2010 - 08:00 PM ]
Super Street Fighter IV is definitely a great value at $40, especially for people who didn't pick up the original. Aside from everything originally included with IV, Super also includes a handful of new characters, new stages, new music and updated online play. This includes some new modes and features that fans have been wanting for over a year now. A new roster update comprises of a nice selection of characters from various series in the Street Fighter universe, as well as two new ones exclusive to Super. Juri is a welcome addition with a quickness that many other characters are lacking, and Hakan is a grappler covered in oil that brings more depth to his style of character. Read More...

Resident Evil VS. Street Fighter
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Friday, 26th of March 2010 - 11:06 PM ]
While that could lead to some interesting spin-offs, no it is not a new IP from Capcom. At least as of right now. They do seem to be fans of crossing over two genres or companies for their games. But as of right now, that is not the case. If it does become the case, remember that AggroGamer brought it to you first. So then you must be asking yourself, what is up with the images below and the title above? Well that answer comes from a very talented artist on CHhub names Manuhell. Read More...

Capcom Either Causes International Incidents Or Zombie Incidents
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Monday, 15th of February 2010 - 03:57 PM ]
It looks like once again Capcom could not resist disseminating their social commentary to the world - be it that people are becoming more and more violent and creative or that we are all giving into the social zombism that is quickly spreading the planet. Hell, they even seem to want to weigh in on the issues between China, Korea, and the United States. They do this in one of the best ways ever: through video game trailers and game play. Below you will see two new video clips for two of Capcom's upcoming games: Dead Rising 2 and Super Street Fighter 4. Read More...

So if the AggroCast about the Capcom event didn't satisfy you with what we thought about Super Street Fighter IV, let me introduce you to the new trailer for SSFIV. A new trailer that is full of all the new character goodness and a bit of the new gameplay options. Including a nice little opening showing off the transition from smashing a car in 2D to smashing the car in the 3D world of Street Fighter. The clip below shows off the characters that have been announced and some of their special movies and ultra combos they can do. Also showing off the beautiful, yet confusing to me Juri. Read More...

Capcom Forgot How To Count Again
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Tuesday, 29th of September 2009 - 07:45 PM ]
Oh Capcom you were doing so well with the counting again. You started with Resident Evil going to four and then five. THen you continued with Street Fighter and Dead Rising, both going four and two respectfully. It was looking like the past of Super Ultra Directors Cut of an earlier title rehashed as a new title had gone the way of the dodo in your eyes. You were kicking out full and new games. Then you go and ruin it with this. Read More...

PAX 2009 Impression: Shank
by Binh Nguyen [ Wednesday, 9th of September 2009 - 07:46 PM ]
As I was walking around the PAX show floor, I happen to nearly walk by this Gem of a game. This is a game that seemed to nearly go un-notice at PAX 2009. Major titles like Mass Effect 2, Left 4 Dead 2, Halo: ODST and more at PAX make this game to be an extremely hidden gem for many of us that tried it out. For a game that has yet to be picked up by any publisher, that didn’t stopped Klei Entertainment to showcase their game Shank. What do we know about this game? Read More...

Review: Final Fantasy: Dissidia
by Binh Nguyen [ Thursday, 3rd of September 2009 - 11:41 AM ]
Have you ever wondered what it would be like to combine the elements from a role playing game and fighting game? Ever wonder what it would be like to play some of your favorite heroes from the 8 bit, PlayStation, and PlayStation 2 days? Well wonder no more, as Square-Enix celebrates their 20th anniversary with the release of Final Fantasy: Dissidia for the PlayStation Portable. Even though this has been classified as a fighting game, it is certainly not for the Street Fighter, Tekken, or Soul Calibur crowd. The controls are really simple and you press the same buttons over and over again, but to learn the timing for each character's attacks to take advantage of the different terrain, makes the game much more interesting.
