The New Hotwire Multiplayer For Battlefield Hardline Looks Intense
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Monday, 22nd of September 2014 - 05:00 PM ]
A new multiplayer mode for Battlefield Hardline has been detailed and has a new trailer from EA and Visceral Games What would the cops and robbers style of Battlefield Hardline be without epic car chases through the city? It wouldn't be worth its weight in platinum multiplied by a hundred if it didn't have that kind of gameplay included somehow into the game. Good thing that EA and Visceral Games thought ahead for all of us and included just that in the Hotwire Multiplayer mode of the game. Yes, there will be some epic car chases coming to our PS4s, Xbox Ones, and PCs here in short time and I have a feeling that they are going to be some of the most intense matches to date. Read More...

In Alien Isolation Everyone Will Hear You Scream
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Friday, 19th of September 2014 - 09:00 PM ]
The How Will You Survive Video Series Continues For Alien Isolation Showing Off Why You Don't Scream For Help Everyone knows the old adage that "in space no one can hear you scream." Well in Alien Isolation it looks like that is the next way that you can have the titular Alien upon you and ripping you apart. Yes, we have another video showing us how not to play Alien Isolation and this time it looks like taking the quieter option when traversing the ship to safety would be the best choice to survive. Although I don't think I hear any other screaming but the Alien's in the video below as the noise is made by trying to blow the thing up. Read More...

Survivor Mode Explained For Alien Isolation
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Wednesday, 17th of September 2014 - 07:00 PM ]
The latest 'developer diary' of sorts for Alien Isolation explains what Survivor Mode is for the game In the past weeks we've been treated with fun looks at how NOT to play Alien Isolation trough Sega and Creative Assembly's 'How Will You Survive' campaign. We've seen why going guns-a-blazing is a bad idea, why we shouldn't hide in air vents, and also just running from the problem will not help you survive Alien Isolation. It turns out that these are not just clever little videos to help promote the game but they could also be mixed into the Survivor Mode that has been seen at conventions since E3 this year. Okay, that may all be a bit of a stretch to try and link everything here back into this Alien Isolation topic but hear me out. Read More...

It's In The Vents Of Alien Isolation…
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Tuesday, 16th of September 2014 - 07:00 PM ]
The How Will You Survive Video Series Continues For Alien Isolation Showing Off Why You Don't Hide In The Air Vents You would think by now that it would be common knowledge not to hide in air vent in Alien Isolation or in any horror situation for that matter. It is a tight fit for most and usually leads to a dead end quickly. They may work wonders for Batman but face it, all but one of you reading this are not Batman. Hiding in air vents when being hunted down is just not a good idea. Read More...

Skylanders Trap Team Adds More Kaos To The Mix
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Monday, 15th of September 2014 - 05:00 PM ]
A new gameplay mode for Skylanders Trap Team has been announced called the Kaos Doom Challenge and plays like a tower defense Just in case giving us the ability to use and play as the villains in Skylanders Trap Team wasn't enough, it looks like we are getting yet another mode to play the game in. No longer do we have just a fun little platformer game but now we are looking at a "tower defense" of sorts making its way into the game in the form of the Kaos Doom Challenge. There is something about that word and Kaos that I can't just seem to put my finger on…* Anyways, this new gameplay mode for Skylanders Trap Team looks to pit players and all of their Skylanders in a 100 wave of "doom" where enemies will be flooding the arena to take you down. Mixed in will be the "Mystery Box of Doom" that will unleash gigantic villains into the mix to ensure your ultimate doom. Read More...

Guns Are Not Always The Best Option In Alien Isolation
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Thursday, 11th of September 2014 - 07:00 PM ]
The How Will You Survive video series continues for Alien Isolation showing off why guns don't solve everything in the game If you've been out of the loop then you may have missed that Sega and Creative Assembly have a nice little video series slowly coming out for Alien Isolation. The idea behind it all is how to survive in the world that the game takes place in. It is also a nice look at how not to play Alien Isolation as the actions taken by the player in these videos seem to always lead to the titular alien hunting them down and doing very bad things to them. This latest trailer is no exemption from the concept. Read More...

No Escape Now That Alien Isolation Has Gone Gold
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Tuesday, 9th of September 2014 - 05:00 PM ]
Alien Isolation has gone gold and with that announcement Sega and Creative Assembly have given us a new trailer for the game It's always a good day when we can say that a game has gone gold and there are no more delays, which happens to be just the case for Alien Isolation. So far the alpha and beta builds of the game have handled amazingly as well as brought the horror back to the franchise. This is one of the few titles I am still looking forward to for the rest of this year so the golden announcement will make this October 7th such an amazing day. To go along with the announcement of Alien Isolation getting the little gold sticker, it looks like we are also going to have a bit of fun leading up to the release of the game with a new "trailer series" titled How Will You Survive? Looks Like Mortal Kombat X Will Let Us Kill The Tax Season Blues
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Friday, 5th of September 2014 - 05:00 PM ]
A release date and pre-order bonus for Mortal Kombat X has been announced and it is looking downright amazing Here we have it, the Mortal Kombat X release date. We now know when we should be getting to get back into the gut ripping action and it is now set for April 14th 2015. At least in the NA region for now but if history serves the EU and other regions should only need to wait a few days until they can have Scorpion or Goro dismembering them limb from limb. Or controlling said characters on their console of choice. Wait a second… Goro isn't an announced character for Mortal Kombat X is what I am sure you were thinking if you didn't look up and see the image or embedded tweet below. Read More...

by David 'Hades' Becker [ Wednesday, 3rd of September 2014 - 07:00 PM ]
Heavenly Sword has been given the CGI film treatment and we've had a chance to sit down and check it out. Here is our review of Heavenly Sword — The Film When I first heard that there was going to be a Heavenly Sword film I became insanely excited. This is one of my favorite video games to date and just like if there was a God Of War film I would lose my shit and be first in line to check it out. Fortunately, Heavenly Sword didn't require me to fight the masses but have a watch in the comfort of my own godly cave and watch it I did. Here is what I have to say on the film adaptation of Heavenly Sword. Read More...

Become An Agent Of The Inquisition With The Dragon Age: Inquisition Multiplayer
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Thursday, 28th of August 2014 - 05:00 PM ]
Multiplayer is now a feature in Dragon Age: Inquisition and we have a new trailer to show off how BioWare and EA are implementing it into the game Yea, you read that right; Dragon Age: Inquisition is getting multiplayer mixed into the game. To be honest I am surprised that it took this long to get a multiplayer option into the franchise as it seems like it would be a decent fit. At least that is how I saw it back in the Origins day as the game played a lot like other titles that had a good multiplayer mixed in for the genre. I guess BioWare and EA wanted to make sure the franchise felt different and are just no getting around to adding in a touch of multiplayer. Read More...

Review: The Walking Dead Season 2
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Wednesday, 27th of August 2014 - 09:00 PM ]
The Walking Dead Season 2 has come to a close and it is time to let you all know what I thought about the latest episode and the whole season That is a wrap on season two of The Walking Dead from Telltale. Episode five has been released and there is No Going Back now. See what I did there? I was lucky enough to be able to sit down and play through the final episode and give it the old gamer review. I'll try to keep things as spoiler free as possible but in the mix I will warn that there are a few spoilers I feel I had to touch upon as they were either things I loved or hated about the conclusion here. Also, I am trying something new for this review. Read More...
