Video Games A lot has gone on this week in video games. Here is a recap of what we covered in the world of video games on the site this week It was a short week but still one filled with all manner of video games out there for us all to enjoy. Nothing overly groundbreaking or mind-blowing, but we did have some stuff to keep us going. Of course, Darksiders Genesis had the bigger highlight this week but it was nice to see the likes of Last Year back in the mix. Last Year The next chapter of Last Year is on its way with a touching story behind everything that has happened with the team behind Last Year About this time in 2018, we all had a chance to have a look at Last Year as it dropped on the up and coming storefront over on Discord. Well, at least, we had a short chance to as we and Elastic Games watched as their project fell into the wastes as the storefront went away. It was a sad time and many that fell in love with Last Year were left in the lurch wanting to see the game make a comeback. Before now, there was no real word on it all, but we can now see that we will be able to play the next chapter of the story over on Steam as well as pick up the original there again if you were left wanting from the Discord fallout. Last Year Last Year: The Nightmare has launched on Discord and we can see what is in store for us as we see some of the gameplay for Last Year right now Here we are again at that wonderful time of year when it is time to go kill some students and make it out alive over the holiday break with Last Year: The Nightmare. Last Year The release date for Last Year: The Nightmare is now set and it looks like console gamers will be able to play Last Year: The Nightmare next year It looks like Elastic Games was pushing things right up to the end to make sure they hit that Fall release for Last Year: The Nightmare via Discord on the PC. I say this as we now have a release date for the game and it falls just shy of the actual change from Fall to Winter as it is now December 18th for all of those who are looking for another one versus many styles of video games out there. This could be the right time for Last Year, though, as it could be working its way out into the wake of all of the others in the gameplay genre that has fallen flat or completely away too many other reasons. Last Year A new update for Last Year has been put out there and it shows off some new gameplay for Last Year as well as one of the killer's abilities in the game If we hop back in the "Way Back Machine" again you might remember a title we found called Last Year. This was back in December of 2014 for those who don't remember and it seemed to have a lot of similarities between it and the official Friday The 13th game that we are looking forward to. In fact, back then it was a hot topic between all parties given the similarities but none the less Last Year was still in the works after all of the dust had settled. It's been announced that there is a new Friday The 13th title in the works from Crystal Lake Entertainment and an un-named developer Good news for us horror fans, maybe, as there is a new Friday The 13th video game in the works. This is to go hand in hand with the new TV show and film but hopefully will not be solely a tie-in for the franchise. Details are still sparse on it all since the news dropper "exclusively" on EGM Now but that does not mean we don't have at least the basics as we wait for the anything visual for this new Friday The 13th game. The latest Kickstarter buzz title is Last Year which is an Asymmetrical Multiplayer Survival Horror title that lets a player be the killer Here we go with another Kickstarter project in the way of Last Year. It seems like these things are a dime a dozen as of late and unless some random person finds it amazing the campaign will most likely fail.
