This Week In Video Games 12/10/18 — 12/14/18
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Saturday, 15th of December 2018 - 12:00 AM ]
Video Games A lot has gone on this week in video games. Here is a recap of what we covered in the world of video games on the site this week Thus concludes another fun week in the world of video games here. More or less trying to catch up on all of the news that surprised us at the end of last week, but we finally were able to get to it all. We did not even have a chance to get to everything. Even after taking in the news of video games like Hades and World War Z, we still had many other smaller titles fall through. Read More...

Review — Mutant Year Zero: Road To Eden
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Wednesday, 12th of December 2018 - 10:00 PM ]
Mutant Year Zero We sit down and review Mutant Year Zero: Road To Eden. A tactical game that is a little XCOM with a little Fallout. Here is our review of Mutant Year Zero It seems like it has been a good long while since we have had a tactical RPG in the mix and Mutant Year Zero: Road To Eden is here to try to scratch that itch. If the name sounds familiar, besides following all the video game news, then you would be right as this is also The Bearded Ladies’ crack at bringing an old Swedish tabletop game to life. At least to life in terms of video games. Read More...

Things Are Opening Up A Bit More For Kingdom Hearts III
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Tuesday, 11th of December 2018 - 10:00 PM ]
Kingdom Hearts A new video for Kingdom Hearts III is here to show off what is called the opening but also recaps the other Kingdom Hearts titles in the process In just a little over a month we will be keyblade deep in Kingdom Hearts III in the best of ways, but that does not mean we have to wait for the opening video for the game. At least something that is being called that is here for us to spy upon for the game from Square Enix in the latest update that we have for it all. When you have a look at it, you will get to see a nice recap of the previous Kingdom Hearts titles, but it does seem to be a bit out of sorts for a true opening to a video game. Read More...

Mortal Kombat 11 Is Now Announced & Coming Sooner Than Expected
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Friday, 7th of December 2018 - 06:00 PM ]
Mortal Kombat A surprise announcement for Mortal Kombat 11 just happened and it looks like new things are coming to the Mortal Kombat universe with this next title During last night's Game Awards, we were all surprised to finally see the announcement of Mortal Kombat 11 on stage with an amazing looking cinematic intro for the game. All of which came about as a surprise when Ed Boon of NetherRealm Studios was brought out to present the award for a genre he is not known for and the below trailer started to play. It is all cinematic and no actual gameplay to view here, but it does show us a little bit for Mortal Kombat 11 and also gives us the surprise that it will be launching on April 23rd for the PS4, Xbox One, PC, and Switch. Review — Arca’s Path
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Tuesday, 4th of December 2018 - 10:00 PM ]
Arca’s Path We sit down and review Arca’s Path. An interesting VR version of Marble Madness, of sorts. Here is our review of Arca’s Path In the mix of all the high action and fast moving video games out there, it is time to take a break and slow things down with Arca’s Path. The latest VR title to hit our PSVR, HTC Vive, and Oculus Rift here from Dream Reality Interactive. It started out as one of the smaller titles I saw at video game conventions in the past and now it has grown into a full-fledged release. Mix that in with some of the more serene visuals, music, and mechanics, it looks like Arca’s Path could be the break some of us need out there. Read More...

Last Year: The Nightmare Will Be Stalking Us Real Soon
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Tuesday, 4th of December 2018 - 08:00 PM ]
Last Year The release date for Last Year: The Nightmare is now set and it looks like console gamers will be able to play Last Year: The Nightmare next year It looks like Elastic Games was pushing things right up to the end to make sure they hit that Fall release for Last Year: The Nightmare via Discord on the PC. I say this as we now have a release date for the game and it falls just shy of the actual change from Fall to Winter as it is now December 18th for all of those who are looking for another one versus many styles of video games out there. This could be the right time for Last Year, though, as it could be working its way out into the wake of all of the others in the gameplay genre that has fallen flat or completely away too many other reasons. by David 'Hades' Becker [ Thursday, 29th of November 2018 - 08:00 PM ]
Arca’s Path The latest developer diary for Arca’s Path takes us into the art style used for the game as well as how the music will affect Arca’s Path We have yet another developer diary here for Arca’s Path to take in and this time it is all about the art and music of the game. You may have already figured all of that out from the title above, but it is here for those who did not catch that just yet. It also gives us another look at just how Dream Reality Interactive has put together their style and choices for Arca’s Path to make it feel unique and stand apart from all of those other games out there. Farrow Has Snuck Into Mutant Year Zero: Road To Eden
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Wednesday, 28th of November 2018 - 08:00 PM ]
Mutant Year Zero A new mutant has joined Mutant Year Zero: Road To Eden as Farror shows off her skills and how she will be needed to make it through the Zone of Mutant Year Zero It definitely looks like The Bearded Ladies have been playing a few things close to the chest for Mutant Year Zero: Road To Eden as we have only seen a few of the characters we will have to control in the game when it launches next week. In fact, we have only had the same three playable characters shown off since it was first announced and in everything that Funcom has put out there to date. Given that this version of Mutant Year Zero will house characters only made by the dev team, it would make sense to see our options leading up to launch. Read More...

Mutant Year Zero Another stream for Mutant Year Zero: Road To Eden has passed and it brings us even more gameplay to get ready for Mutant Year Zero’s launch with We are another week closer to the launch of Mutant Year Zero: Road To Eden and that means we have another week of streams to look at from the demo build that is out there.
