Review — Hard Reset Redux
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Tuesday, 5th of July 2016 - 07:00 PM ]
Hard Reset Redux We sit down and review Hard Reset Redux. It's another remaster of a classic title but it is one that needed to be done. Here's our review of Hard Reset Redux It's been some time coming but Hard Reset Redux has launched on consoles and has been given a full remaster on the PC. It only took five years for Flying Wild Hog's title made it to the PS4 and Xbox One. That is okay though as Gambitious had some great ambitions for all of this and now it has come to light. Thankfully we had a chance to sit back and give this remaster a shot from start to finish. Read More...

It's Time To Take South Park: The Fractured But Whole Seriously
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Tuesday, 5th of July 2016 - 05:00 PM ]
South Park In the wake of E3 we are still getting South Park: The Fractured But Whole details and this time it is just how the guys from South Park are taking the comedy a bit serious It sounds extremely weird and funny to hear that South Park: The Fractured But Whole is trying to take comedy seriously given the jokes about just that in the past. Of course we have to look past all of that as all of this comes from a recent interview about the game from some of the team out of Ubisoft. That and the fact that in terms of this South Park game this whole new revelation is in terms of the genre and not the specific jokes as the comedy genre in video games is on the light side. Get Ready To 'Do' Everything In Carmageddon: Max Damage
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Tuesday, 5th of July 2016 - 04:00 PM ]
Carmageddon A new compilation video for Carmageddon: Max Damage has been released and it shows off some of the things you'll rundown in Carmageddon at launch With Carmageddon: Max Damage coming out here in short order, July 8th, it might just be time to sit back and see just what you'll be running down and killing for fun in the game. Apparently Stainless Games had the same idea as they have just given us the rundown of some of the things we'll encounter when the game launches on the PS4 and Xbox One. Although for most of us out there this may just be a refresher for Carmageddon as it seems just like the usual things that we've known and 'loved' to kill from before. Read More...

Time To Claim Your Inheritance As Layers Of Fear Gets Story DLC
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Friday, 1st of July 2016 - 09:00 PM ]
Layers Of Fear A new Layers Of Fear experience is upon us as we have the first bit of DLC called Layers Of Fear: Inheritance that will expand more on the original story If you didn't get enough Layers Of Fear back when it first launched and then came to consoles, then it looks like good news is coming for you. It turns out that Bloober Team and Aspyr Media have been working on a bit of DLC for the game and it adds a whole new story into the mix. Yes, we are getting more story for the game as Layers Of Fear: Inheritance is coming this August for the PS4, Xbox One, and PC version of the game and it aims to expand more on the overall story as well as give us a little closure on things…maybe… All we have as of now is that Layers Of Fear: Inheritance will be continuing the story of the original game only that this time it will be from the perspective of the protagonist's daughter. by David 'Hades' Becker [ Friday, 1st of July 2016 - 07:00 PM ]
Hitman We sit down and review Hitman — Marrakesh. This is the third episode of Io Interactive's latest addition to the Hitman franchise. Here's our review on how they did. The world is ever expanding for Hitman and here we go with another episode and location to explore and kill many people that we are told to target. That is just how Io Interactive has everything set up in the game and that is just we have to do. All with a nice little story around it all but mostly just for the mechanics. Read More...

Call Of Duty: Black Ops 3 Is Having Us Face Of Against Dragons Now
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Tuesday, 28th of June 2016 - 07:00 PM ]
Call Of Duty The third DLC pack for Call Of Duty: Black Ops 3 has been shown off here and it looks like Dragons are coming to Call Of Duty in addition to the zombies It looks like we have a good look at the new Call Of Duty: Black Ops 3 DLC pack that is coming to us on July 12th here. Well at least if you are playing the game on the PS4 that is given that Activision has set up the timed exclusivity thing again. I'm sure that it will be another month before this Call Of Duty DLC makes it to the Xbox One as usual but there is no date there. Which is sad for those gamers out there as it looks like Treyarch has given us something we have yet to experience in the franchise. Read More...

This Week In Video Games 6/20/16 — 6/24/16
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Friday, 24th of June 2016 - 11:00 PM ]
Video Games A lot has gone on this week in video games. Here's a recap of what we covered in the world of video games That was another intensive week in video games now wasn't it? We are all still dealing with the aftermath of E3 this year as there was just so many video games we didn't get to fully cover last week and there are still more to come. It doesn't help when more on games like God Of War and Final Fantasy XV come out when trying to play catch up and everything. But we are here to do all of that and we have been able to do a decent job. Read More...

New Gameplay For Dishonored 2 Shows Off New Occult Abilities
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Friday, 24th of June 2016 - 09:00 PM ]
Dishonored 2 The first bit of gameplay for Dishonored 2 was shown off and now we have a better look at some of the upgrade for Dishonored 2 we are going to get Here is yet another title I didn't get a chance to personally check out at E3 but by the gods we had a great showing of Dishonored 2 out there during the event. In fact, we had about 15 minutes of gameplay shown off by Arkane Studios out at the show even though Bethesda had nothing more than a small museum to offer up on the show floor. While that was cool it didn't truly show us what we wanted out of Dishonored 2 in closed environment but that is what we have the internet for isn't it? Read More...

The God Of War Demo Had A Lot More In It Than We Thought
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Friday, 24th of June 2016 - 05:00 PM ]
God Of War A new look at the God Of War demo out of E3 has been release where a few of the God Of War developers explain more on the game than we saw live Last week the world was given a great surprise in terms of the new God Of War being shown off at E3. A lot of questions obviously popped up due to all of this but Santa Monica Studios was very tight lipped about every aspect of the game that we couldn't physically see in the demo. Believe me I tried and the closest little extra I got for God Of War was the fact that they are not ignoring anything from his past but are doing a solid continuation. That and it will of course be on the PS4 but that is all stuff that we could have just made a solid assumption on given the state of everything. Read More...

Here Is Exactly What The Family Is Kicking Back In Mafia 3
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Thursday, 23rd of June 2016 - 09:00 PM ]
Mafia 3 The pre-order bonuses for Mafia 3 have finally been fully fleshed out this is just what we will be getting for Mafia 3 if we pre-order or by the CE Maybe you remember or maybe you don't but back when Mafia 3's collector's editions was announced we also caught word on the fact that there would be a pre-order bonus. At the time though 2K Games had yet to define out what would be coming in the "Family Kick-Back" DLC and Hangar 13 was just as quiet about that too. Now we know what we will be getting for Mafia 3 if we shell out for the game on the PS4, Xbox One, or PC before October 7th no matter the bundle you are looking for. Read More...

Another Fresh Batch Of Final Fantasy XV Screenshots Have Released
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Thursday, 23rd of June 2016 - 07:00 PM ]
Final Fantasy XV Right off all of the Final Fantasy XV E3 coverage we have a whole new batch of screenshots for Final Fantasy XV to gaze upon outside of everything else We certainly have been overrun by videos and gameplay for Final Fantasy XV as of late; especially with all of the E3 coverage and showings. Even with the very lackluster, in my opinion, showing that Square Enix had during the Microsoft conference to show how streamline the combat was. It sure didn't look that way to me nor was the new Final Fantasy XV VR experience all too exciting when shown off for the PlayStation. Read More...

New Spider-Man Is In The Works But Not A Film Tie-In
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Thursday, 23rd of June 2016 - 05:00 PM ]
Spider-Man During E3 it was revealed that Spider-Man was getting yet another title in the mix but this won't be a Spider-Man game tied into anything but the general lore Another one of the huge surprises out of E3 was the announcement of a new Spider-Man game coming into the mix. Maybe not a huge surprise given the agreement between Sony and Marvel for the IP but the bigger one would be that Insomniac Games is doing the building and that it will not be linked into the new film at all. In fact, this Spider-Man title will be a completely standalone title and unsurprisingly available for the PS4 sometime in the future. How long into the future is of course a good question as this is still a working title for the game but it would make sense to use the synergy of the new film; so maybe July of 2017… Of course as this is just an announcement and a tease for the new Spider-Man title, information for the game is still sparse. E3 2016 Impressions — Styx: Shards Of Darkness
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Wednesday, 22nd of June 2016 - 07:00 PM ]
Styx While at E3 I was able to see Styx: Shards Of Darkness in a more intimate setting than just a trailer. Here's my take on Styx: Shards Of Darkness One of the other smaller titles on the floor at E3 that I was excited for was Styx: Shards Of Darkness. This would be the sequel to one of the smaller cult classic titles that Cyanide Studios gave us back in 2014. It is a fun little stealth action title that builds off the story of Styx: Master Of Shadows and from the looks of things builds off the expanded power of the Unreal Engine that they just didn't have before. Thankfully we don't have much longer to wait as the game is still slated to launch later this year for the PS4, Xbox One, and PC. Read More...
