Perception Is Expanding As It Now Looks Like The Game Will Hit The PS4

Perception

First-person horror game Perception has just been slated to hit the PS4 as Perception is also slated for a release sometime this year

Here we go with yet another video game that you may or may not remember is in the works but is getting an update and that title would be Perception. This would be the game that hit Kickstarter back in 2015 to help get The Deep End Games some funds to build and prosper. It is also the horror game that has us playing as a blind girl who has to use echolocation to move around the game's world to stay alive from all of the supernatural horrors dwelling within now. Now do you remember Perception or do you still need more? Hopefully not as I know it caught our eye pretty well back then and here we go with it making waves again as a new partnership has come about and that means a few new things are now coming.

If you are still out of the loop on who the developers are, let it be known that they are comprised of some of the people who brought us BioShock and Dead Space. As it comes to Perception they are now teamed up with Feardemic to not only publish the game now but it will be brought to the PS4 in addition to the PC. If that name doesn't sound familiar to you that would be the same people who brought us all Layers Of Fear back in the day as well as other "indie" horror titles. Now their sights are set on Perception and those looking for fun on the PS4 will be lucking out as well. I am a bit curious as to why not the Xbox One but for now that is what we have here.

Perception — Gameplay

After months of research, she discovers an abandoned mansion in Gloucester, MA. Once there, Cassie finds that Echo Bluff is worse than her nightmares. A ghostly Presence has tormented its inhabitants over generations, and it now hunts Cassie. She must solve the estate’s mysteries or become one of its victims.

Cassie finds her way by tapping her cane and can “see” via echolocation. She needs to avoid detection and uses ambient sounds of the house to help her navigate or uses objects to create distractions. Every sound creates a visual. But there is a cost…sound will attract your enemies and reveal your location.

But you’ll also need to match wits with the Presence, a mysterious force that haunts the mansion. When playing, you must carefully weigh the risk of making too much noise against the possibility of being discovered. Once spotted, your only hope is to run, hide, and pray that it doesn’t find you. Cassie can also use the ambient sounds of the house to her advantage, by throwing objects like alarm clocks to create “sound bombs” that can distract her enemies.

Are you excited to see Perception hopping over to the PS4 or does it matter to you at all? Did you lose sight, pun intended, of the game since it was first funded or have you been following along the whole time? Do you think that it will ever hop over to the Xbox One or Nintendo Switch in the future or have that platforms been set? Let us know what you are thinking about all of this down in the comments and then feel free to discuss. For more on Perception as it comes out, be sure to stay around here. We'll keep all of the information flowing on out as we get it and hopefully this means a lot more soon.
