by David 'Hades' Becker [ Monday, 23rd of June 2008 - 06:20 PM ]
New Dead Space Trailer Advises Strategic Dismemberment So let me guess. You saw that title and thought "WTF? I gotta check this out." I know that's what I did when I first saw this. It is also why I clicked onto the video. (See below.) It is about what I was expecting as well. Well maybe not exactly, but I was not let down with what I got from clicking the link and watching the video. So what is this? It is a show of the game Dead Space, a little bit. Read More...

Geek Culture and Flexible Morality
by [ Tuesday, 17th of June 2008 - 09:18 PM ]
Morality is a tricky subject, as it is something that is subjective depending on background and culture.   People of faith will argue there is only one moral code, and you either follow it or you don't.  Down to earth, I've noticed there are 3 rules about morality and people that are pretty fail-proof:   1. People will never hesitate to express to you what they feel is morally right and wrong 2. Said people will apply their form of morality to you and judge you upon it 3. Read More...

Call of Duty 4 for Mac Has a Release Date
by Andy [ Friday, 13th of June 2008 - 05:59 PM ]
As an avid mac fan one thing that seriously sucks is the lack of games that are made for the mac. Once I heard that COD4 was going to made for the mac, I was insanely excited, I counted down the days til May and checked http://www.aspyr.com/product/info/88 as often as I could to try and find a release date. Alas, I could never find one, so I found myself searching google for the date. I came across a couple of forums that said they game was due around in June, somewhere in the middle. Read More...

HACK Ads Invade CAL'S Website
by Stephanie Naboshek [ Tuesday, 10th of June 2008 - 09:48 PM ]
For anyone familiar with most any website, Google Ads is probably a common distraction. The Cyberathlete Amateur League aka CAL, proved today more than ever that it's no exception to the mayhem brought upon by Google's "selection" for the ads generated. Today these lovely ads gracefully advertised "Hacks" on their CS Intermediate division's page in a display of irony that can only be responded by with plenty of laughs. "GET THE BEST WORKING CS HACKS" ...while you check your messages, division news and download the Anti-Cheat System? Read More...

Jack Thompson's Florida Bar trial late last year has recommended that the controversial attorney be found guilty on 27 of 31 professional misconduct charges.
by Aaron BlueWolf72 Molloy [ Thursday, 22nd of May 2008 - 06:04 PM ]
"A celebrity is a person who works hard all his life to become well known, then wears dark glasses to avoid being recognized."  This is how JT treated him self when you watch him on any interview he would do about gaming.  With all his tricks and lies it was bound to catch up with him.  I assume there will just be another nut job who replaces his bag of tricks.   The judge who presided over Jack Thompson's Florida Bar trial late last year has recommended that the controversial attorney be found guilty on 27 of 31 professional misconduct charges. Among the Florida Bar offenses for which Judge Tunis has recommended a guilty verdict:Knowingly making a false statement of material fact or law to a tribunalKnowingly disobeying an obligation under the rules of a tribunalCommunicating the merits of the case with a judge before whom the proceeding is pendingUsing means that have no purpose other than to embarrass, delay or burden a third personEngaging in conduct involving dishonesty, fraud, deceit or misrepresentationEngaging in conduct in connection with the practice of law that is prejudicial to the administration of justice, including to knowingly or through callous indifference disparage or humiliate litigants or other lawyersMaking statements that the lawyer knows to be false or with reckless disregard as to the truth or falsity concerning the qualifications or integrity of a judge     Thanks to GamePolitics. Castlevania & Pac-Man = COMING TO A SCREEN
by Aaron BlueWolf72 Molloy [ Thursday, 22nd of May 2008 - 05:57 PM ]
Variety has news that Castlevania & Pac-Man are set in stone to be made as "movies" for you and me to see while sucking down a drink and popcorn.  Will the movies suck is a big question many will have.  "Castlevania," a co-production with Universal's Rogue Pictures. Project, based on the Konami vidgame, is written by Paul Anderson ("Resident Evil") and directed by Sylvain White ("Stomp the Yard").  Other titles in the Grosvenor Park-funded slate include an adaptation of Richard Branson's memoir "Losing My Virginity," a bigscreen adaptation of vidgame "Pac-Man" and a sequel to John Woo's actioner "Hard Boiled"; company also controls the rights to Brad Thor's bestselling novels. Portal Is Still Alive...
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Tuesday, 6th of May 2008 - 04:28 PM ]
More Maps For Portal This was a triumph... I'm making a note here... HUGE SUCCESS! Ok enough of that. But you really can't deny the fact that the game was a huge thing. It spawned all kinds of other media based off of just this little mod to Half Life. And it just keeps coming out. This time in more maps based from the 2D Flash version of the game. This is a 40 map pack and features a new "test subject" for these said levels. Yes you read it. Read More...

Bo Jackson Not Included In New Tecmo Bowl Game
by Michael Camacho [ Saturday, 3rd of May 2008 - 01:33 PM ]
While we knew when Tecmo decided to announce Tecmo Bowl: Kickoff for the DS, they couldn't use the NFL license for teams and players thanks to EA holding the exclusive rights.  But when fans petitioned for everyone's either favorite or most despised player in Tecmo Bowl history, Bo Jackson, Tecmo came out stating he will not appear in the game, nor any retired players for that matter.  Anyone who played Tecmo Super Bowl knows that Bo Jackson became the game's standout icon as he was virtually unstoppable, and everyone remembers the fights over who would play as (Does best Chris Berman Interpretation) DA RAIDAHZ!!  Sorry Bo fans, you're stuck finding an old copy of Tecmo Super Bowl to get your "Bo Knows" fix. More "Real" Art
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Wednesday, 30th of April 2008 - 04:07 PM ]
Artist Rendition Of Pikachu Nursing Maybe it is just me, but I enjoy seeing these "realistic" artist renditions of imaginary characters. Check out my other Narticle about the others. They are just really fun to see. Bet you never thought that Pikachu breed like a normal animal and such. Maybe Nintendo should incorporate some scenes like these in later releases. At least once the fans of the game grow up and such. Much like how the Harry Potter books got darker and darker as the audience was suppose to be older. Read More...

Peach, Samus Return To Feast Upon The Living Alright, so you se this cool pic of Zombie Samus right? Unless you have images turned off, of course you do. You can actually se the other one, Peach, if you follow the link below. Both really well done pieces of art in my opinion. I know it's not 100% gaming news, but it was worth note. I can't wait to see if there is more. Marvel Zombies is one of the coolest comics I've ready in a while. Read More...

by David 'Hades' Becker [ Monday, 14th of April 2008 - 11:04 PM ]
Real MGS4 Headset So much like the guys at Kotaku and a few other sites, I saw this and thought it was a really good joke someone on the net came up with. I mean look at it and you can totally see how it looks like a good Photoshop job. At least until it was featured in catalogues and has a real release date for the US and Europe. Pretty fucking cool looking thing. I've been looking to get a new headset and it looks like I can get a cool one if I manage to wait it out. Read More...
