The Elder Scrolls Online console version has been delayed for another six months but with a few small perks. It looks like we can add the console version of The Elder Scrolls Online to the list of delayed games this week. It looks like ZeniMax Online and Bethesda have deemed that they need another six months to get the PS4 and XB1 versions of the game up to snuff for us all. The better news here over the prior delay of Dying Light is that this delay is all based on the server issues for the MMO title and not any actual gameplay. That is at least good news. Read More...

Markus Persson (aka Notch), the man who brought you Minecraft has won a legal battle against ZeniMax Media/Bethesda Softworks. His new project, entitled Scrolls, seems to have caught the attention of one of the big dogs.  The trouble began when a law firm representing ZeniMax contacted Markus saying that he was being sued for having a game title with the likeness to The Elder Scrolls. ZeniMax Media, the parent company of Bethesda, of Fallout 3 and Elder Scrolls fame, has purchased id Software, of Doom, Wolfenstein, Quake, and Commander Keen fame. The move was surprising, as more people have been questioning who was going to buy Midway rather than who was going to buy id. Daily operations won't change at id Software, “No changes will be made in the operations of id Software in the development of its games. id Software will continue to operate as a studio under the direction of its founder, John Carmack.” Soothing news to those following the development of id's next AAA game, Rage.
