Scrolls Gets To Keep Its Name

Anyways, after Markus found out he was being sued, he tried to simmer ZeniMax Media down by challenging them to a friendly tournament of Quake III to decide the outcome of the naming dispute. After no answer from ZeniMax or Bethesda, Markus found himself going to court. In a post on his Twitter account he proclaimed "We won the interim injunction! We can keep using the name 'Scrolls' ZeniMax/Bethesda can still appeal the ruling, but I'm very happy :D"

Congratulations Markus for winning against the giants.

Ok, there are a few things wrong with this. 1. He wont the interim junction, not the lawsuit 2. He tried to trademark "Scrolls" which in turn would have made Zenimax/Bethesda in the wrong and pushed back the release of Skyrim plus future TES games and re-releases. 3. Bethesda sued to protect their IP which if they did not would have weakened future cases for someone actually trying to be malicious with their IPs 4. They never sued for any money, just to prevent the name usage. 5. The junction only allows him the name to be used, not the trademark he was seeking and also suing about. Don't let the media and the vilification of Big companies sway you from whats going on here. Neither were really the bad guys, just 2 biz's trying to get by.
