The Surge The final release date for The Surge has been set and with it we have another fun CG video for The Surge to celebrate and get us amped up even more It looks like today is the day that we change The Surge's May release date into a solid May 16th release date as it has now been set for us. This was about when I figured that Deck 13 would be looking to release the game, but now it is confirmed and those waiting to give it a good play can now try to shuffle their schedules around to fit it in. There are already a few other great titles listed as launching on the same day, but all in different gameplay styles than The Surge so now you will have options and yet another title to put in when you need to break up the flow or monotony of the others out there. System Shock 3 A new publisher has joined to help System Shock 3 finally come to fruition after System Shock 3 was first confirmed back in 2015 with little else Maybe you remember back in December of 2015 when we finally had word that System Shock 3 was officially in the works or maybe you don't. The Crow's Eye New gameplay for The Crow's Eye is here and it looks like the release date has been set for The Crow's Eye as well in a few weeks Earlier in the year here we were treated with a nice little tease for a game called The Crow's Eye. It looked to be an interesting psychological puzzle style game that 3D2 Entertainment was going to test our brains and sanity with and then there wasn't much more of a word from it since. I know it piqued my interest when I saw it and was eagerly waiting to see some solid gameplay and possibly a date to look out for when it would hit my PC. Guardians Of The Galaxy New screenshots for Guardians Of The Galaxy have been placed out there with word on when we'll see Guardians Of The Galaxy in action before launch We've all been waiting for something to come out officially for the upcoming Guardians Of The Galaxy title that Telltale Games is working on but since its originally announcement back in December all we've had have been rumors and speculation. Things like the "leak" that we may see the first episode at least before the end of April, the 25th is still the date in rumor, as well as very little on what the game's story will actually revolve around. Given that Marvel has made it clear that their video games don't need to follow the Film and TV franchise continuity if they don't want to, this version of the Guardians Of The Galaxy is rather up in the air and still fraught with mystery. Borderlands At GDC, the devs behind Borderlands had a new tech demo shown off that housed some new techniques the next Borderlands may be using If you're a fan of Borderlands, and let's face it you most likely are as you sped in here, then you are in for a real treat here as we may have seen some of the technology that will bring that game to life. Straight out of GDC there was a panel where part of the team from Gearbox was showing off some of their new work with the Unreal Engine. All of which pointed toward how they are working on rendering techniques for future games, the previously announced new Borderlands title falls in there, and they showed off just how they were improving on their old system to make sure they could get their unique look perfect for the future. Game Pass It has just been announced that Xbox Game Pass is coming to us all soon and Xbox Game Pass will let us play many backwards compatible titles for a low monthly fee As if we didn't have enough games to play in general, it looks like we now have Xbox Game Pass to look forward to this Spring. This would be a new service that has been announced that will be we some are calling a Netflix for Xbox games. More or less Xbox Game Pass is another subscription service that will let you play 100 different titles as you wish on the Xbox One that also houses a load of backward capable titles from the Xbox 360. The Surge The next gameplay video for The Surge has been released and shows us fourteen more minutes of The Surge and more of the story We've had some gameplay before for The Surge and now it looks like it is high time for us to get some more. Of course we always want more but Deck 13 needs to be able to keep some of it to themselves until May when the game lands on the PS4, Xbox One, and PC. Mafia 3 New details on Mafia 3's story DLC have popped up and we can all look to see Mafia 3 change a bit before the end of July this year It's hard to imagine that Mafia 3 has been out for so long already and just when you think it is safe to put the fun all behind you…they pull you back in. Sure there have been a few updates here and there with a bit of DLC pumped out from Hangar 13 but the real substance people have been waiting for is to expand the story. That could be just me but that doesn't change the fact that 2K Games has helped it finally come to a reality as Mafia 3 will be getting three new story expansions before the end of July this year. Friday The 13th During the PAX South panel Friday The 13th: The Game had some new changes shown off as well as a new Jason coming to Friday The 13th and other customization Just before PAX South we had a nice new trailer for Friday The 13th: The Game pop up and it showed off some new music and a new Jason mixed into the game now in terms of the Misfits and the Part 6 version of the character respectively. Of course if this was all that Gun Media had for us it would have been a bit pointless for them to have a solid panel down at the convention over the last weekend. The Surge A new trailer for The Surge has popped up and this one aims to show us just what caused The Surge that we will be dealing with; at least the aftermath of Here we go with a better look at The Surge just before the big showcasing that is slated for next week. Well at least a better view at the general story that is being set up here by Deck 13 as this seems to be a bit more of a cinematic trailer than anything that shows off some new gameplay. Seeing as story is an important role in an action-RPG, I guess it is good that The Surge is looking to have a solid one for us to explore and in turn survive. Dystopian futures are some of the worst ones out there and we all may need a bit more training on this as of now so I guess it's good that it will be here in May for the PS4, Xbox One, and PC for us all to ingest.
