Review — King's Quest: Snow Place Like Home
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Thursday, 13th of October 2016 - 09:00 PM ]
King's Quest We sit down and review King's Quest: Snow Place Like Home. This is the fourth episode of The Odd Gentlemen's reboot to the famed franchise from Sierra Entertainment. Here's our review of King's Quest: Snow Place Like Home It's been about five months since the last episode of King's Quest was released so it seems like it was about time to get the next episode in the mix. Right? Of course it was and that is why The Odd Gentlemen and Sierra Entertainment have just recently released the fourth episode of the game for all of us to play. Read More...

This Week In Video Games 9/26/16 — 9/30/16
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Friday, 30th of September 2016 - 11:00 PM ]
Video Games A lot has gone on this week in video games. Here's a recap of what we covered in the world of video games One more week in the world of video games is in the bag yet again. Oddly this week started out a bit slow on the news side of things and then it seemed like everything exploded onto the scene shortly after. We had plenty of Mafia 3 to cover yet again and other, smaller video games like Sundered and Here They Lie get mixed into it all. Not to mention a review for the latest episode of Batman from Telltale. Read More...

Review — Minecraft: Story Mode — A Journey's End?
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Wednesday, 28th of September 2016 - 07:00 PM ]
Minecraft We sit down and review Minecraft: Story Mode — A Journey's End?. This is the final episode of Telltale's take on Mojang's famed Minecraft franchise. Here's our review on how they did He we go with the final leg of Minecraft: Story Mode as the eight episode of the IP has been released and we can see how this story is finally going to end. It has been one trek for us with Telltale Games and Mojang's franchise as we were given a story to a game that generally doesn't have one set up. Even with all of the Minecraft celebrities and all that there hasn't been one concise story until now. Read More...

Review — Batman: The Telltale Series — Children Of Arkham
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Tuesday, 27th of September 2016 - 05:00 PM ]
Batman We sit down and review Batman: The Telltale Series — Children Of Arkham. This is the second episode of Telltale's take on the Batman franchise. Here's our review on how they did The time has come and the second episode of Batman: The Telltale Series is here and we get to see if the momentum from the first episode keeps going or not. Telltale Games did knock it out of the part with the first episode for me but with the chance that the story could change drastically or the gameplay could falter at any episode there is a chance. None the less this should be when all hell breaks loose in the story and builds toward the true climax in some way just as all Batman comics, games, and films usually do by this point. Read More...

This Week In Video Games 9/19/16 — 9/23/16
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Friday, 23rd of September 2016 - 11:00 PM ]
Video Games A lot has gone on this week in video games. Here's a recap of what we covered in the world of video games Thus concludes our week of video games. Another solid week and not so many bad bits of news and delays. Of course that doesn't mean it was all happy and bouncy but in the world of video games that never seems the case. Thankfully we had some solid things like a new Jason and Counselor for Friday The 13th, the next episode of King's Quest finally coming, and all of the death dealing coming to Dishonored 2. A lot of videos and a lot of fun for the week and just the way it needs to be as we press on into the review season here. Read More...

Review — The Bunker
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Tuesday, 20th of September 2016 - 05:00 PM ]
The Bunker We sit down and review The Bunker. It has a new and dark take on the point and click genre. Here's our review of The Bunker We caught wind of The Bunker not that long ago but it definitely piqued our interest over here with the creep factor as well as the fun twist on the point-and-click genre of game. While Splendy Games isn't breaking new ground on using live actors for the visuals and gameplay, it is something that we don't usually get. Not only that but Wales Interactive helped take The Bunker out to a real world bunker to capture all of the performances and interactions to make sure it felt authentic. Read More...

Review — Deus Ex: Mankind Divided
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Tuesday, 13th of September 2016 - 05:00 PM ]
Deus Ex We sit down and review Deus Ex: Mankind Divided. The franchise has had time to be "augmented" since the last addition. Here's our review of Deus Ex: Mankind Divided It's been five years since the last title came out and now we get to continue the whole story in Deus Ex: Mankind Divided. Of course it's not completely the same old story or Adam we've seen before or there would be no reason for us to pick up Eidos-Montreal's new title and Square Enix would be out a whole lot of money; so there is a lot to look at and enjoy. Thankfully, we had a chance to give Deus Ex: Mankind Divided a solid play and now we are here to give you our thoughts on it all. Here's our review of the next big addition to the franchise. It's time for our next big trip with Hitman and this time it off to Bangkok for some murderous fun. Io Interactive has place two more marks on the map and we are off to make sure they never see the light of day again. All in a fun setting of a fancy hotel in the exotic lands here. Review — Marvel Ultimate Alliance [PS4]
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Wednesday, 31st of August 2016 - 07:00 PM ]
Marvel Ultimate Alliance We sit down and review Marvel Ultimate Alliance. It's been a decade since it first came out & has been remastered. Here's our review of Marvel Ultimate Alliance A long time ago we were all introduced to Marvel Ultimate Alliance on the PS2. A game at the time was one of the best that Raven Software had pumped out to us through Activision and thus started a decent partnership for Marvel titles to be done by this publisher. Now we jump forward about a decade and Marvel Ultimate Alliance has been remastered and made to work on the PS4 and Xbox One. We had a chance to check it out and see if the game holds up over the years or if it is something that you should hold out on. Read More...

by David 'Hades' Becker [ Friday, 26th of August 2016 - 09:00 PM ]
Layers Of Fear We Sit Down And Review Layers Of Fear: Inheritance. We have a new bit of story DLC for a great horror game now. Here's Our Review Of Layers Of Fear: Inheritance Almost a year ago we were all introduced to a full version of Layers Of Fear and some of us regained a love for fear and horror. If not then, then when Bloober Team and Aspyr Media released the game on the PS4 and Xbox One earlier this year. It was fun and had some great jumps to it all but I know I was left wanting more. Review — Ratchet & Clank [Blu-Ray]
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Wednesday, 24th of August 2016 - 05:00 PM ]
Ratchet & Clank Ratchet & Clank has recently hit the small screens of home with new content. We had a chance to sit down and break the film down piece by piece. Here is our review of Ratchet & Clank Maybe you remember back when Ratchet & Clank first came out and that there was a feature film that was slated to launch with it. It did launch in theaters shortly after the video game's launch and Insomniac Games had its IP all over the place for a short time. As films always do, Ratchet & Clank left the big screen and we were left with only the video game to keep us coming. Read More...

Review — Minecraft: Story Mode — Access Denied
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Friday, 19th of August 2016 - 09:00 PM ]
Minecraft We sit down and review Minecraft: Story Mode — Access Denied. This is the seventh episode of Telltale's take on Mojang's famed franchise. Here's our review on how they did It looks like we are heading toward the end of Minecraft: Story Mode's expansion season as now we have the seventh episode of the game out now. Telltale Games has been doing their best with the franchise and giving us an entertaining story based on the blocky world of Mojang. We've been covering all of the episodes so far for Minecraft: Story Mode with some hits and some misses and now is the time for us to go through the most recent one. Read More...

Review — Batman: The Telltale Series — Realm Of Shadows
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Thursday, 11th of August 2016 - 09:00 PM ]
Batman We sit down and review Batman: The Telltale Series — Realm Of Shadows. This is the first episode of Telltale's take on the Batman franchise. Here's our review on how they did It seemed like a weird time to bring out Batman: The Telltale Series given all of the other titles fighting for the limelight back when the game was first announced. But given that Telltale Games has had a pretty solid record on their storytelling titles to date I know myself and many other tried to ignore all of the other Batman going on to give this version of the franchise a fair shake. Well the first episode of the game has been released and we have been able to play it. Read More...

Review — ADR1FT
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Thursday, 11th of August 2016 - 05:00 PM ]
ADR1FT We sit down and review ADR1FT. A new exploratory title that shows us some great fears of space. Here's our review of ADR1FT When I first saw ADR1FT I was under the impression it was just another serene space adventure that was a "paint by numbers" kind of design. Then as Three One Zero kept giving us more and more to look at the game evolved and looked like it was becoming truly unique all its own. Now that 505 Games has released the game we have had a chance to play and review ADR1FT in all of its forms outside of just watching nice little trailers. Here's our full review and thoughts on just how the game played and felt along the way. Read More...
