If there was one title I was overly excited to check out at E3 this year it was Murdered: Soul Suspect. Just the basic announcement by its self gave quite a few reasons why it could be an amazing new IP, but I got to actually sit down and check out a bit more of the game than has been shown. Here's a bit of what I am sure we will all be able to see here in the not too distant future. As has been mentioned in the announcement, we get to play as Ronan O'Connor who used to be an investigator in Salem, Massachusetts with a shady past. It's been ten years since we first met Sora in Kingdom Hearts and watched him team up with Donald and Goofy on a quest to find King Mickey and ultimately save the various worlds in the Disney universe from the clutches of the Heartless. Through the next nine games to be released we have watched Sora and company grow up while facing new foes and making new friends along the way. As well as learning of the history of the Kingdom Hearts universe and everyone in it. So just as Konami did earlier, Activision is hosting a PrE3 event. The only difference is that this 30 minute event is all about one title, Call Of Duty: Ghosts. It starts at 11am PST on the 9th, A.K.A. today. Unless you are reading this in the future then we'll just go with June 9th. Either way you should be able to see it below, even if you are viewing from the future. What are they going to cover? Back during PAX we got a little bit of hands-on with Daylight and the developers were a bit close lipped about some of the specifics even while we were playing the demo. As you move through an abandoned hospital with but your phone for light and direction you encounter cryptic things about the environment that we had to piece together to continue. A nice little feature that isn't all that common in games today and with the below E3 trailer it looks like it is going to move into their PR for the game as well. Talk about another E3 trailer that is all CGI and no game play. A new trailer for Dying Light has just been released into the wild and it surprisingly shows no game play despite the fact that it will be on deck at the convention this year. What is interesting to note though is that even though there is no game play some of the events could point toward other aspects of the game than "survive the zombie uprising." Yesterday we got a look at what Konami and its developers are bringing to E3. Castlevania: Lords of Shadow 2 being one of the larger titles talked about and shown off. Amongst all the PR hype and a dumb looking Mega64 parody we got a nice 6 minute trailer showing the game in action. Knowing what we gamers want it would seem that Konami has clipped the trailer out and supplied it for all of our viewing pleasure. Here it is without all the other BS around it. Talk about being tight lipped. While most other larger titles are getting new trailers and information spewed all over the internet leading up to E3 it looks like The Evil Within is holding back. Well holding back a bit as you will see a few "new" screenshots below but nothing new to add to the overall game. Let's add a bit of a break from the E3 trailers and PrE3 announcements for a moment and take a look at how some of the next gen tech is shaping up in regards to motion capture. Since both the PlayStation 4 and inFAMOUS: Second Son are going to be huge things at the event I am sure we will get to see more, but for now let's look at how much detail the new hardware and software will handle the fine movements in a game. Some of these being things that can help define a character's mood without the need of speaking. Pretty interesting even though the main character looks to have a lazy eye most of the time. We all know the Saints Row franchise to be over the top and not one to take its self serious. Saints Row IV is no exception to that either even though the new trailer released for E3 has it quoted as the most dramatic in the franchise. Hells, this "War for Humanity" trailer does look very dramatic, at parts, but it really is all kinds of hilarious. If you were expecting something else then you might not know the franchise. I am so glad to see that South Park: The Stick Of Truth is still moving forward and striving given the loss of the original publisher and completely missing the launch date. While Ubisoft did purchase the game during the great THQ fire sale, I was a bit worried that this was going to fall into development Tartarus or be so altered it wouldn't be what we were led to expect. Back in March we got a look at rain's game play. It was a bit confusing as to what the actual game is about besides an invisible boy running around trying to find/save an invisible girl while invisible monsters chase them and, presumably, try to kill them. I guess it is a good thing that there was a story trailer released to try and explain things a bit better. Let's take a watch and see what rain is all about.
