by Kenton Winkfield [ Monday, 28th of October 2013 - 04:15 PM ]
While we all sit around waiting for any news we can get about Kingdom Hearts III, Japan gets their glimpses first. During the first annual D23 Expo Japan a gameplay trailer was released filled with all new content that is coming to Kingdom Hearts III. But first, for those who don't already know, D23 is the official Disney Fan Club. It is named after 1923, which was the year Walt Disney first arrived in Hollywood and created the Disney Company. The D23 Expo stands to showcase and inform the Disney fans of upcoming changes to the Disney universe, whether those changes relate to theme parks, movies, or video games. Read More...

Nier is Hopefully Not Too Far
by Kevin [ Friday, 25th of September 2009 - 03:21 PM ]
Nier,or Nier Gestalt as it goes by these days, is one of those titles that I really feel could go either way. It could be a really compelling experience with a narrative that draws you in with some really deep action elements, or it could be a largely forgettable title with little to allow it to stand out among other similar entries in the genre. The design of the game is decidedly Square Enix and if we have learned anything from their protagonists, there will be a rich melencholy right below the surface of the gruff devil may care attitude. Will the style of the game be enough? Read More...

The Sandbox Narrative
by Kevin [ Monday, 3rd of August 2009 - 04:16 PM ]
There have been more open world, sandbox style adventures in recent memory than ever before. Non-linear gameplay is fully embraced and every videogame genre has felt its influence at one point or another. The ability to turn off, or flat out ignore mission objectives is a must in today's titles and the unlimited access to a living, breathing game world is embraced without reservation. How often, however, have we allowed that freedom to take the place of a well crafted and well explored story? Grand Theft Auto is usually quoted as a landmark franchise for the ability to blend an open and emergent gameplay with a dedicated and evolving storyline. Read More...

R.U.S.E
by Kevin [ Monday, 30th of March 2009 - 07:09 PM ]
R.U.S.E. Exclusive Trailer (via gamespot) I don’t care if they are trying to present what the game’s premise is. What I want.. is a tabletop game that actually plays LIKE THIS. In any event, it is an upcoming RTS video game developed by Eugen Systems and published by Ubisoft (scheduled to be released in 2009 for the 360, PS3, and PC.  It's a strategy game involving the players to use decoys to trick their enemies into traps. The release from the community site says, "R. PWNed My Opinion A Bit
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Wednesday, 23rd of April 2008 - 04:00 PM ]
More Good Stuff For MGO So it looks like my hopes for this are actually right for once. Here's another video that shows that the debacle with Konami and getting this whole thing set up should be worth it all. The video here is actual game play from a bunch of people in Japan. I had no audio when watching it, but from descriptions of it, I can see it being just a bunch of Japanese yelling and gun shots. So go ahead and watch the video and I'll continue below. Go ahead.
