Review: DmC: Devil May Cry
by Matt Waitt [ Saturday, 2nd of February 2013 - 05:06 PM ]
The reboot of Devil May Cry is not only the best in the series, but breathes new life into the franchise. I personally cannot wait for a DMC 2. I know a lot of you guys cried foul when you saw the new design for Dante, and it's understandable, but at the same time you guys should all calm your damn tits. I thought the old Dante looked too much like a pretty-boy anime character and I really couldn't relate to him all too much. When I saw the new one he reminded me a lot of an 80‘s style Punk rocker, which I like a lot. Read More…

So Many God Of War: Ascension Spoilers It Makes Kratos Sad
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Saturday, 2nd of February 2013 - 03:48 AM ]
It's been a bit since we've had some real updates or news about God Of War: Ascension so it would seem a good time to give a bit more. Screw it. Not a bit more. Let's go ahead and let loose the first 30 minutes of the game, a few screen shots, a video on how they made the Manticore, and the teased Super Bowl commercial. How does that sound? Spectacular is the word you are looking for. Read More…

Grand Theft Auto V Pushed Out Of Spring
by Greg Tatterfield [ Friday, 1st of February 2013 - 06:56 PM ]
Rockstar has announced the release date for their crime epic Grand Theft Auto V. Unfortunately it's releasing later than originally expected. Rockstar has confirmed that Grand Theft Auto V will be released on September 17th for Xbox 360 and PS3. Originally Rockstar had it slated for sometime in spring. This may come as a disappointment to those looking forward to the game but I rather have them take their time instead of releasing a broken game with a boatload of patches. Here is an official statement form Rock star regarding the delay. Read More…

It does show is a bit of the lore in an Unsolved Mysteries format. So please take note of that before you get all panty wadded and feel like you are getting the shaft. Now that is out of the way, here is the new "trailer." Take a look before we move on here. Read More…

Big Surprise... Lex Luthor In Injustice: Gods Among Us
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Friday, 25th of January 2013 - 11:59 PM ]
As it should come as no surprise, Lex Luthor has joined the roster for NetherRealm's upcoming Injustice: Gods Among Us. Why would he not have been in the game with his Superman/Meta-human hate speech? It makes sense. But either way, with the below trailer he has been officially added to the "Gods Among Us." Like the pun? Outside of that, there doesn't seem to be much more for the title here at all. Read More…

The DLC For This Article Will Be Released Soon.
by Kenton Winkfield [ Tuesday, 22nd of January 2013 - 07:07 PM ]
I love it when I turn on a game I've already played and beaten and find that there is brand new stuff to do thanks to new content being added. But, in a world dominated by the internet is it really such a good thing now? I feel that games now-a-days are sometimes left incomplete in order to reach deadlines, and the finishing touches are just brought out at a later date in the form of patches or add-ons. In the past; unless you were on a PC; an incomplete game was rare on consoles before they could access the internet. And unless the game was incredibly good, people wouldn't go out to buy the next installments. Read More…

Killer Is Dead Trailer
by Matt Waitt [ Monday, 21st of January 2013 - 09:58 PM ]
The guys over at Grasshopper Manufacture have released the first trailer for their upcoming game titled Killer Is Dead. The trailer features a lot of blood and a lot of Japanese language. Thankfully there are subtitles. Killer is Dead is about a thirty-five year old assassin named "Mondo Zappa." Mondo works for an undercover organization called "Brian Execution Firm." The firm sends Mondo across a "near-future Earth" where space tourism and Cybernetics are the norm, and where Mondo must execute a crap load of criminals. Cyborgs, Androids, and Sword Play? Sony's New Patent Could Put An End To Used Games
by Greg Tatterfield [ Friday, 4th of January 2013 - 06:52 PM ]
Used games have been a sore spot with game companies for a long time now. For most gamers used games are a great way to save money or play a game that they may have missed. However If Sony has anything to say about it this trend may be coming to an end soon. Sony has filed a patent for a new technology that will block used games from being played on Sony's consoles. The new system works by reading a tag embedded on the game disk and then linking to the player ID and the user’s console. After the tag has been linked to the first console that the game was played on any future attempt to play the game on another user’s console will not work. Read More…

by [ Saturday, 29th of December 2012 - 12:00 AM ]
To those of who still stick with Square Enix's MMO Final Fantasy XI, good news and new content is coming your way. Square is releasing Final Fantasy XI: Seekers of Adoulin for PC and Xbox 360. From the press release: "The expansion will unfold a new adventure for players as the eighth century came to a close. The Royal Family, in partnership with the Eleven Knightly Orders, has agreed to abolish imperial rule — from which arose the Sacred City of Adoulin on the Ulbuka Continent. In the blink of an eye, Adoulin had grown to be a maritime metropolis, with a mercantile prowess rivaling that of Jeuno. Read More…

Review: Black Knight Sword
by Matt Waitt [ Friday, 21st of December 2012 - 07:35 PM ]
Where do I start with Black Knight Sword? The Monty Python inspired art style? The odd and unique story? Or how about the challenging difficulty that I thought had long since been forgotten? Yeah, let's start with how hard Black Knight Sword is. Black Knight Sword has three difficulties: Easy, Normal and Hard but it feels more like "Normal, Hard, and Good Luck." It is not the mechanics, nor the controls that makes Black Knight Sword so difficult, no, not at all. It is the strategically placed enemies, the learning curve they demand from you, and the boss fights that will eat you up and spit you out. Read More…

So if you want to experience everything for the first time in March, you might just want to skip the video. For everyone else, there is nothing really spoiled except the first few minutes which play out similar to BioShock's opening. Read More…

by Kenton Winkfield [ Wednesday, 19th of December 2012 - 06:03 PM ]
A game to bring back the old-style platformers from yester-decade, Gateways is a 2D portal platformer from Indie Developers Smudged Cat Games, makers of The Adventures of Shuggy. Gateways has you take control of Ed, a scientist who has mysteriously woken up in his lab to find that his creations have escaped their containment and are running amuck. As he runs to escape his lab, he must find and use several of his new creations in order to traverse past several of his own security systems. He must use all his various portal devices to teleport, resize, rotate, and even go back in time in order to reach his control center, and ultimately escape his own lab. Read More…

Games We Are Looking Forward To In 2013
by Matt Waitt [ Tuesday, 18th of December 2012 - 05:48 PM ]
With the end of the year coming soon and the end of the world coming sooner, I thought now would be a good time to show off some of the games we're most excited for. So let's get right into the goods. First off we have the third installment to the amazingly beautiful franchise of Crysis, with Crysis 3. Developed by Crytek and Published by EA, Crysis 3 takes place twenty-four years after the events of Crysis 2. Players will be taking the role of Prophet again as he returns to New York. Read More…
