by David 'Hades' Becker [ Tuesday, 22nd of July 2014 - 05:00 PM ]
Media Molecule shows off a bit of their latest IP in the form of a rendering error It's not every day that anyone embraces their mistakes as Media Molecule just has. Usually things like this get thrown aside or swept under the rug; especially something as little as a rendering error. Not here though as it looks like Media Molecule is using an error like this to kind of tease their next IP coming to the PS4. Get ready to see the horror and tedious side of game development and try to figure out what Media Molecule is going to bring us. A rendering error on our new PS4 project caused this trippy sequence of colourful nonsense that begged to be shared. Read More…

Oddworld: New 'n' Tasty is the most recent HD remastering for Oddworld: Abe's Oddysee and it is releasing tomorrow (7/22) on the PS4 in the North American region. Wednesday (7/23) for all those EU regional people and TBA this year for everyone else who wants to replay one of the games that started my next-gen-now-way-last-gen gaming love. That would be back on the PS1 days back in 1997. Read More…

The Evil Within Has Had Yet Another Release Date Change
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Friday, 18th of July 2014 - 09:00 PM ]
During the Bethesda conference at Quakecon there was an announcement of a third release date for The Evil Within Unlike what will happen when playing The Evil Within, calm down. This is not another piece of bad news for The Evil Within but it is a bit of good as it was let loose that the game is now coming out a week earlier now. That means that evil will be taking hold on October 14th now instead of the 21st. That is as long as Bethesda doesn't change their minds after what they claimed at Quakecon here recently. Styx: Master Of Shadows Will Make You Believe In Goblins…
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Friday, 18th of July 2014 - 07:00 PM ]
A new trailer for Styx: Master Of Shadows has been released to show off the main goblin doing what he does best Last month we were able to re-watch the E3 gameplay for Styx: Master Of Shadows and it looks to be the perfect Thief-like game to me. Now we have a nice little extra look at a bit of gameplay and a bit more on the story that will be taking place during the game. It isn't all that much more but it is something for what I am seeing as a sleeper hit coming to the PS4, Xbox One, and PC this upcoming September. I just kind of wish we had a more direct release date for the game but we have the month at least. Read More…

by Kenton Winkfield [ Friday, 18th of July 2014 - 05:00 PM ]
Recent reports say that the studio will be closing as a part of a restructuring that will result in 18,000 Xbox employees being laid off News surfaced today that Xbox Entertainment Studios, the new studio that was to produce several Xbox original TV shows, will be shutting down permanently. The company began in 2012 with the vision to create interactive television content for Xbox Live subscribers. The studio looked to solidify its domination of the home entertainment industry by having their own original programming that can be accessed just as easily as Netflix or Hulu through consumer's Xbox Ones. With one announcement of a live-action Halo television show with Steven Spielberg producing it. Read More…

Sacred 3's New Trailer Shows Off How Competitive The Co-Op Could Be
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Thursday, 17th of July 2014 - 09:00 PM ]
Deep Silver and Keen Games have released a new trailer for Sacred 3 to show off the co-op game play for the game While we may not have any new gameplay footage to show off for the co-op in Sacred 3, Deep Silver has given us a look at how the gameplay could occur in a CGI video filled with carnage and fun. I am guessing that this is to show how the game should be played once you and your friends take it home. That would be something hard to capture without feeling scripted if it was gameplay for sure, but I still would have loved to see more on how the characters work together to lead up to an epic version of "Whack-A-Mole" to score higher than everyone else. It Looks Like The Walking Dead Is Getting Insanely 'Real' Soon
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Wednesday, 16th of July 2014 - 09:00 PM ]
A few new screenshots have been released for The Walking Dead and it shows some rather dire scenes We have a few new screenshots for the next episode of The Walking Dead and it looks like there are going to be a few more deaths to affect us all. That is at least if we take that away from one of these new screenshots here. In this specific instance it looks like Kenny may be back on the market in the post-apocalyptic world of The Walking Dead. If it is a bite or something else is still left to the imagination of the new episode but things do not look good for the group. Read More…

Ubisoft is setting up a Parkour obstacle course for those at SDCC to hone their Assassin's Creed skills in real life It really looks like The Walking Dead Escape started something at SDCC as it looks like Ubisoft and Assassin's Creed are now bringing their real world video game experience to the convention with the Assassin's Creed Experience. What is the Assassin's Creed Experience? Well it is an obstacle course that is set up to have participants try out their parkour skills that they would need if they were part of the order of assassin's from the game. Read More…

Finally We Have A Bit To Compare With For The Last Of Us Remastered
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Wednesday, 16th of July 2014 - 05:00 PM ]
A new TV Spot and screenshots for The Last Of Us Remastered give us a look at the upgrades for the game A little while back we had some "leaked" screenshots for The Last Of Us Remastered to look at and see if the up-scaling for the game made things look any better. Well now we have an official trailer for The Last Of Us Remastered as well as quite a few new screenshots for the game and… I am still torn on if I can see any real improvement over the PS3 version to the PS4 version of the game. It is a bit tough to see anything with just stills and the little bit of in-game footage that we do get in this new TV Spot for The Last Of Us Remastered. Here, look at the video and tell me if you can see a vast improvement in The Last Of Us Remastered. Read More…

See How Expendable The Crew Of Alien Isolation Is
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Tuesday, 15th of July 2014 - 09:01 PM ]
A few new screenshots for the Alien Isolation DLC have surfaced showing a few scenes from the expansions I've been reading lately that people are upset about the pre-order DLC for Alien Isolation. I'm not completely sure why or if it is just the general hatred and Alien Isolation is just getting the backlash because it is the most recent that will have DLC for all platforms out the gate and not "exclusive" timed DLC like other titles that will remain nameless. You should know which I am talking about but if not it rhymes with shmestiny. Hate it or not, we have a few new screenshots for the Alien Isolation DLC Crew Expendable none the less. Read More…
