SDCC Experience: The Walking Dead Escape
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Thursday, 31st of July 2014 - 07:00 PM ]
The Walking Dead Escape was back at SDCC giving all of us a feel for what a Survival Horror game really feels like For the third year running (pun intended) I was able to experience The Walking Dead Escape at SDCC. I broke down what it was all about before but I'll give the quick version just in case you are lazy. In a nut shell it is a real world survival horror event that tests if you could escape from one end of a location, Petco Park in this case, to the other without being swarmed by the undead horde. The Walking Dead Escape of course using portions of the AMC show, comic books, and video games to theme everything. Read More…

See The Guardians Of The Galaxy In Action With Disney Infinity: Marvel Super Heroes
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Thursday, 31st of July 2014 - 05:00 PM ]
New gameplay footage for Disney Infinity: Marvel Super Heroes has been released showing off the Guardians Of The Galaxy play set The Guardians Of The Galaxy are nothing completely new in terms of announcement for Disney Infinity: Marvel Super Heroes as half the team was shown during the initial announcement of the game and the rest talked about at E3. What better place to show off the gameplay for the Guardians Of The Galaxy play set though than at SDCC right? It also seems to fit the time frame given the film's imminent release and the sequel already announced. Read More…

We mentioned before on one of the main actors and roles for Halo: Nightfall but now we have a good look at everything in action. Like I said though, this is mainly for those who couldn't dedicate the time hunting around as all of you hardcore Halo fans probably have all of the words to the clip memorized forwards and backwards by now. SDCC 2014 Impressions: Escape Dead Island
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Wednesday, 30th of July 2014 - 07:00 PM ]
While At SDCC I Got To See Escape Dead Island In A More Intimate Setting Than Just The Trailer. Here's My Take On It It seems like I should have had to wait a bit longer to get a look at Escape Dead Island as it was only announced a month ago but I'll take it none the less. Especially since Escape Dead Island seems to be taking the amazing universe and changing a lot of the mechanics that we are used to and changing them or removing them to fit this new take on Dead Island. Without any further gilding the lily here, let's dig right in. For those not familiar with Escape Dead Island it is sort of an in-between-quel from Dead Island: Riptide and Dead Island 2; although all you really need to know are the basics of the universe's story to be able to hop on in. It's Time To Roll Initiative For Combat In Dragon Age: Inquisition
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Wednesday, 30th of July 2014 - 05:00 PM ]
A new trailer for Dragon Age: Inquisition has been released showing off all of the facets of the combat system for the game It seems odd to keep talking about it as we've seen it many times before but here is some more on the combat system in Dragon Age: Inquisition. It really seems like BioWare is insanely proud of this system as it is being pushed more than the great story that I've been hearing for the game and other great features. I guess since it is looking like the best version of a D&D video game combat system it is something to be proud of. I just kind of want to move on to something else for the game before it finally lands on November 18th. Read More…

Story Time: Call Of Duty: Advanced Warfare Campaign Mode
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Tuesday, 29th of July 2014 - 09:00 PM ]
A new trailer for Call Of Duty: Advanced Warfare has been released showing a bit more gameplay and what the campaign mode's story will be all about If you were wondering what the story behind Call Of Duty: Advanced Warfare was going to be then you have to wait no longer. If you are one of those lunks who thinks that Call Of Duty is only a multiplayer experience then you can skip all of these hard words to read and just watch the pretty pictures in the video below. Although I am sure that all of you in that category will be upset as this is all about the solo campaign and the overall story for Call Of Duty: Advanced Warfare. You know, the reason we are shooting at the "bad guys" in the game. Read More…

See Assassin's Creed Unity's Arno Parkour To Save The Fiery Templar
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Tuesday, 29th of July 2014 - 07:00 PM ]
In a new trailer today Ubisoft showed off how masterful Arno is in Assassin's Creed Unity as well as a new Templar, Elise If you are a fan of CGI trailers then we have a new one here for Assassin's Creed Unity with a bit of added in for all of you Ubicollectors out there. That someone also happens to be another central character to the overall story of Assassin's Creed Unity; Elise: The Fiery Templar. Here Is The Extended Tekken 7 Trailer Straight Out Of SDCC
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Tuesday, 29th of July 2014 - 05:00 PM ]
The extended trailer for Tekken 7 was shown at SDCC this year and we have it here for you to see Well I guess Namco kept their promise of showing more of Tekken 7 at SDCC this year. Although I am pretty sure this was not what fans of the franchise were looking forward to when said promise was made. In fact, if I was as rabid of a fan for Tekken as I am for other franchises I would be a little put out and upset with such a tease. That is all because nothing more than a very small bit of Tekken 7's story has been released surrounded by the same visuals we already had. Read More…

The night is here to watch The Last Of Us: One Night Live and we have it for you Last week it was announce that we would be seeing The Last Of Us: One Night Live this week. Have A Look At Who Is Going To Make Lego Batman 3 Sound Amazing
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Monday, 28th of July 2014 - 05:00 PM ]
A new trailer out of SDCC for LEGO Batman 3: Beyond Gotham shows off the voice actors of the game If you didn't know by now, LEGO Batman 3: Beyond Gotham is being slated as having the largest cast of characters from the DC Universe. I had the pleasure of seeing a good chunk of these characters at SDCC last week, look forward to a hands on article, but if you don't want to wait you can get a glimpse at a bunch of the characters and those who voice them in the below trailer. You also get to hear a bit on what the actors thought about LEGO Batman 3: Beyond Gotham too; this includes an appearance from Adam West. See all of this from LEGO Batman 3: Beyond Gotham reminds me of the old days when the LEGO games were all voiced in grunts and mumbles. Read More…

This Week In Gaming 7/21/14 — 7/25/14
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Friday, 25th of July 2014 - 09:00 PM ]
A Lot Has Gone On This Week. Here's A Recap Of What We Covered In Gaming Well this has been one crazy week in the gaming world. I blame it mostly on SDCC and all of the craziness that brings with it. It is way more than just comics and their other forms of media outlets. We've been trying to keep up with everything we can while covering all of the stuff on the show floor directly but it can get insanely overwhelming. But I am not here to complain about all of that. I am here to bring you all that gaming news I know you are craving to sink your eye balls into. Read More…

Looks Like We Get To Go Under The Red Hood In Batman: Arkham Knight
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Friday, 25th of July 2014 - 07:00 PM ]
GameStop has announced that they will have an exclusive DCL pack for Batman: Arkham Knight that adds the Red Hood's Story It looks like we are getting more to Batman: Arkham Knight than just the Harley Quinn story pack. That is at least if you are pre-ordering the game for your local GameStop and nowhere else. None the less it is confirmed now that we are getting more story DLC for Batman: Arkham Knight in the form of the Red Hood and it doesn't look like the Joker's version of the Red Hood either. I'm thinking that it is more like the recent animated series and comic ark but that will most likely be told during the play through. Read More…

So What Does The Original Cast From Aliens Think Of Alien Isolation?
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Friday, 25th of July 2014 - 05:00 PM ]
A new trailer show a behind the scenes look and interviews with the original cast coming together for Alien Isolation's DLC If you had that wonder mentioned above for Alien Isolation then we can put that to rest for now. In fact it sounds like the original cast seems to like the overall idea of Alien Isolation and the two bits of DLC they all worked on for us. In case you forgot that would be the Crew Expendable and Last Survivor packs that cause quite a stir a little while ago. I'm still not sure why but if the original cast is behind it that is at least a good sign right? Read More…
