Hear How Batman: Arkham Knight Will Drive More Fear With Scarecrow
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Thursday, 7th of May 2015 - 05:00 PM ]
A new behind the scenes video for Batman: Arkham Knight has been released to show off a few of the voice actors that will be bringing the characters to life in the game It is no big shocker that some of our favorite voices will be gracing Batman: Arkham Knight. Rocksteady has created a franchise with some great new interpretations of the characters so it would make sense that they stay the same across the board or at least have stellar voice actors to help bring them to life. A task that so far has been heard pretty well in the Batman: Arkham Knight videos and trailers. Just to emphasize it more though we have another great behind the scenes video showing off how the voice actors truly are bringing those characters to life again on the PS4, Xbox One, and PC. Have A Look At The Updated Rock Band 4 Controllers
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Wednesday, 6th of May 2015 - 09:00 PM ]
With the updates for Rock Band 4 Harmonix has also upgraded the hardware and now we have a look at what has been changed We have yet to see official gameplay for Rock Band 4 but we have had a look at the new controllers for the game and how Harmonix is changing things up to give us that rock star feeling all over again. Well, to clarify they have given IGN exclusive "first rites" to the Rock Band 4 and the virtual rock star feeling as it is Guitar Hero Live that is aiming for the real feel. Now that is out of the way we can dig right in to what we can expect to be plugging into our PS4 or Xbox One later this year to experience what Harmonix and Mad Catz will be bringing with Rock Band 4. More Gameplay For The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt To Shake Sticks At
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Wednesday, 6th of May 2015 - 07:00 PM ]
The first bit of gameplay for The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt on the PS4 has been shown off as well as a look at more of the combat in the game There would be no doubt, if there was, that we are getting close to the release of The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt. CD Projekt RED is flooding us with more and more of the gameplay and creature looks than we can shake sticks at. Odd phrase I know but go with it. None the less we have the first bit of PS4 gameplay to look at now and it still feels like we have seen so very little of The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt so far. Read More…

We Could Be Seeing The Next Mirror's Edge Real Soon
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Wednesday, 6th of May 2015 - 05:00 PM ]
EA's financial report for the year has been made available and it lists Mirror's Edge, and other titles, within that time line Since we were first told that Mirror's Edge was getting its sequel from DICE at E3 one of the big questions has always been "when?" It's been some time for the franchise and I know I want Mirror's Edge 2 sooner rather than later as it was one of the more game changing titles I had played in quite some time. But back then there was nothing. Now after the financial reports from EA have been given out to the world we have a better time frame of early 2016 to have Mirror's Edge 2 getting a release. Enter The Deep Freeze In Kholat's Latest Gameplay Trailer
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Tuesday, 5th of May 2015 - 09:00 PM ]
A new environment for psychological horror title, Kholat, has been released to show us a bit more of the isolation to expect It's been some time since we last saw anything for Kholat and it looks like we may need to wait a bit more. That's not to say that the most recent trailer that IMGN.PRO has given us, it can be seen below, hasn't shown off some amazing new area in the game, it just doesn't given any more clue as to what is going on outside of the exploration in the game. Kholat is a storytelling based game and I am still at a loss as to what the story is even slightly. At least it will have some nice looking scenery and that feeling of isolation down pat when it launches on Steam and our PCs on June 10th. Read More…

by David 'Hades' Becker [ Tuesday, 5th of May 2015 - 07:00 PM ]
Disney Interactive has officially announced Disney Infinity 3.0 and it is bringing all of the Star Wars fun that the company can squeeze into the game We all knew it was coming but now we have the official announcement that Disney Infinity 3.0 is coming. Not only that but it is going to be heavy on the Star Wars side of things with the content. It looks like pretty much anything from the animated series to all seven of the live action films will be included into the toy box this time in Disney Infinity 3.0. Read More…

The Monsters Of The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt Are More Than Creature Spawns
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Tuesday, 5th of May 2015 - 05:00 PM ]
A new video for The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt has been released showing off the design and AI of the monsters we will be hunting in the game If you had no idea that there were monsters in The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt then why are you even reading this? Monster hunting is what it is almost all about here. There couldn't be more monster hunting if the game was called Monster Hunter. It is not though but there are still loads and loads of monsters and creatures for us to enjoy hunting in The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt and now we are getting a good long look at how CD Projekt RED has designed them all to make us feel like true monster hunters just as the main character in the game is. Isn't that so very nice of them? Read More…

Jason Is Out Of The Lake & Into Mortal Kombat X Now
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Monday, 4th of May 2015 - 09:00 PM ]
We have been given our first look at Jason in Mortal Kombat X's first DLC pack out tomorrow, or next week depending on your purchase The first major character DLC for Mortal Kombat X is on the verge of launch and now we have a great look at Jason Voorhees getting into the mix of the game. Yes this is the slasher from the Friday The 13th franchise for those who may have been under a rock for the last 30+ years and have no clue who that is. At least in this version we will see NetherRealm's take on the horror icon for Mortal Kombat X. Hopefully he is as brutal as he has been over the decades but I guess the hope is no more as we have that look at him I guess… Of course with a new character for Mortal Kombat X has been a new Kombat Kast to help cover the character and show off all of his variations. New Gameplay For Wolfenstein: The Old Blood Has Crawled Online
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Monday, 4th of May 2015 - 07:00 PM ]
Our first look at Wolfenstein: The Old Blood's gameplay has been released online just a day before we are all going to be able to experience the Nazi Zombie fun We are one day out from Wolfenstein: The Old Blood hitting our PS4, Xbox One, and/or PC. Machine Games has a lot to hold up to for the standalone addition to the Wolfenstein franchise. This of course is the big prequel to Wolfenstein: The New Order that takes place about 20 years before said title. Until now we've had a few descriptions of what was going to be new in Wolfenstein: The Old Blood but have yet to see anything. Read More…

Here's Why Batman: Arkham Knight's Season Pass Is So Expensive
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Monday, 4th of May 2015 - 05:00 PM ]
Some details about the season pass for Batman: Arkham Knight have been released by Warner Bros. and Rocksteady to better explain the price Last week Rocksteady and Warner Bros. caught a bit of flack over the cost of the recently announced Batman: Arkham Knight Season Pass. This would be the $40 add on pack that even I gave them quite a bit of guff over as that is close to the cost of another game just for six month's worth of DLC for Batman: Arkham Knight. Well it looks like the developer and publisher wanted to quell all of our concerns and outrage and give us just a taste of what is to come for the Season Pass that is the most expensive that I can note to date. That is at least covering most titles on PC, Xbox One and PS4 that I cared to take the time to look into. Read More…

This Week In Video Games 4/27/15 — 5/1/15
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Friday, 1st of May 2015 - 11:00 PM ]
A Lot Has Gone On This Week. Here's A Recap Of What We Covered In Video Games Time for more witting, or not-so-witting, banter to wrap up another week of news for video games here. We had a cancellation, a delay, and more sad news in general but at least we were able to see Call Of Duty: Black Ops 3 and Batman: Arkham Knight received a bit more. Not only that but we have more rumors showing us that Watch Dogs 2 could be along the way here soon and then we had a look at a great looking horror title in Night Terrors. Most would say that is a big old game of "nope" but I say bring it on. Read More…

Square Enix's Witch Chapter 0 Shows How Future Final Fantasy Could Look
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Friday, 1st of May 2015 - 09:03 PM ]
During the Microsoft Build Developer Conference Square Enix showed of their Witch Chapter 0 to show the power of DirectX 12 There is no doubt that Square Enix has always been on the leading side of computer graphics and rendering in the gaming world but with their most recent tech demo Witch Chapter 0 [cry] they were able to show off where we can expect to see our next games to go from them. During the Microsoft Build Developer Conference this week showed off said tech demo to show how DirectX 12 can be used to do some truly amazing things visually. In the case of their Witch Chapter 0 [cry] demo it showed how we could get some of the best real-time CG rendering that has been able to pull off a damn impressive CG version of someone crying. The Last Of Us: Left Behind Is Going Standalone
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Friday, 1st of May 2015 - 07:00 PM ]
The Last Of Us: Left Behind is coming to the PS3 and PS4 as standalone DLC for the core game of The Last Of Us in May So this seems like a little weird bit of news but The Last Of Us: Left Behind DLC will be coming to the PS3 and PS4 as a standalone experience on May 12th. This would be that DLC for The Last Of Us that gave us all a little insight into the background of Ellie and her friend Riley. This would be the bit of story that is only alluded to in the core game as to how we all found out that Ellie is immune to whatever fungus is floating around in the world. Now everyone will be able to experience it without having to have The Last Of Us or The Last Of Us Remastered. Read More…

A New Trailer For Caffeine Shows Why It Is A Necessity
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Friday, 1st of May 2015 - 05:00 PM ]
We have a new trailer for Caffeine and a new Indiegogo Campaign to try and get the game up off the floor Caffeine has been one of those titles as of late that seems to not have been able to gain much traction. It's going into its third Indiegogo campaign to try and raise funds to keep the developer working on it. Gods bless them as they keep trying and keep putting out more and more looks at Caffeine to show there is progress even though I am sure it is not at as fast of a pace that we all would want. I've said it many times already that Caffeine looks like it could be another great space horror title the likes of Dead Space or F. Read More…

Night Terrors Could Become Your Reality… In Your Own Home
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Thursday, 30th of April 2015 - 09:00 PM ]
A new Augmented Reality Game, Night Terrors, is trying to raise funds to try and bring real but fake terror into our homes Earlier this week we had the devastation that Silent Hills was canceled so let's get back on a horror highlight with Night Terrors. This would be an augmented reality game that is looking to hit the levels of terror that the prior title mentioned was claiming as well. The big kicker here is that Night Terrors won't be using virtual world interactions to bring the terror. Instead it is slated to get you up and moving about your own home where the ghosts and demons are actually lurking. Read More…
