Friday The 13th
A new gameplay mode for Friday The 13th: The Game is coming and it looks like it could be linked to one of the Friday The 13th film premises from yore
The tried and true gameplay of Friday The 13th: The Game was starting to grind on you for some reason, then get ready for something awesome as a new gameplay mode is now coming. When, that would be the question as IllFonic has yet to give a date for it, but it looks like we are getting a new mode called Paranoia to play sometime in the near future. Not as paid DLC for or anything but as a free update to any and all who have picked up Friday The 13th on the PS4, Xbox One, and PC. You always have to like the low price of free and the team here is definitely doing that for us.
As to what Paranoia Mode will bring to Friday The 13th: The Game, which is also something that is being questioned, as there is not much more than what we have in the following teaser. This is of course nothing solid to go on. The rumor and thought though is that it will be a new mode where the killer in the match will not look like Jason but as one of the counselors all to play off the premise of the fifth Friday The 13tt film where the killer was Roy Burns who was just copying the Jason killings. This, of course, plays well into the name of the mode as players will be more concerned with the other players than just Jason. That is if someone gets to play him directly in the game.
Have a look at the teaser for Friday The 13th: The Game's new mode and then join the speculation train as we all try to figure out what exactly could be going on in the mode. My guess is that the speculation is about right as it would be a great way to keep things feeling fresh with nothing more than swapping out the character model. It would be an easy thing to do and also a refreshing feel. Then again, it could be something greatly different for Friday The 13th: The Game and only time will tell for now.
Friday The 13th: The Game — Paranoia
What do you think Paranoia for Friday The 13th: The Game will actually be? Does it make sense that it would be a mode where Jason looks like a normal counselor but with all of the skills? How do you think the team will keep the player's identity hidden during the matches or will they turn off all communications during the mode to add to the Paranoia of it all? Let us know down in the comments and then discuss. For more on Friday The 13th: The Game's updates and DLC, keep checking back in here. It looks like we have a lot more to come and we will have it all for you.
