How Would Dying Light Look In Real Life?
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Friday, 9th of January 2015 - 08:00 PM ]
Ampisound made a cool POV parkour run for Dying Light to show how the daily grind could look in the real world With Dying Light just a few weeks from launch, I swear I use that phrase too often, we should be ready for more of those PR and Marketing campaigns to pump us up about the release here. Just as to be expected with any free-running or parkour title we have another group, Ampisound, producing a real life run of Dying Light in POV perspective. This would be the same group that have done the Mirror's Edge videos but not the Assassin's Creed videos. Hopefully that sorts out things for those confused on who would be running in this Dying Light promo. Read More...

Did Batman: Arkham Knight Get Accidentally Spoiled?
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Thursday, 8th of January 2015 - 06:00 PM ]
Looks like one of the pre-order bonuses for Batman: Arkham Knight might have spoiled the game's ending on accident If you don't want any bit of Batman: Arkham Knight spoiled for you then you might want to stop reading. Who am I kidding though? You already clicked in with the given title so you are ready to find out how Batman: Arkham Knight's story and conclusion may have been spoiled almost half a year before it hits the PS4, Xbox One, and PC. The worst part behind it, if it is true then it isn't any crazy slip by Rocksteady or Warner Bros. but via the Limited Edition bundle of the game and Amazon having amazing images for the bundle. New Year And New Things To Do In Dying Light
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Thursday, 1st of January 2015 - 08:00 PM ]
There is a New Year's trailer for Dying Light and we have a bit more gameplay and features shown off with it It's a new year and it is time for some new stuff for Dying Light. Well at least in a fun little way of New Year's resolutions and a bit of extra gameplay. We are now under a month from release of Dying Light so hopefully we are going to get something to add to the parkour zombie killing fun coming to our PS4, Xbox One, and PC. If we are to speculate on the following trailer we could be getting some simple little side games outside of the core. If the above image and the following trailer are to be believed for Dying Light then are we going to get some fishing action in the mix? Read More...

In an early copy of a Finnish magazine it has been confirmed that Kung Lao will be joining the roster of fighters for Mortal Kombat X Just like the Kano "leak" for Mortal Kombat X it looks like print media has given us a look at Kung Lao before the official announcement from NetherRealm Studios and Warner Bros. may have wanted. This magazine being a Finnish gaming magazine, Pelaaja, and thus translated by a Mortal Kombat fan site for us all. Read More...

The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt was delayed but that doesn't mean we don't have a nice look at the steelbook covers coming for the game from CD Projekt RED We all may have to wait a bit longer for The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt to finally come to our homes but that doesn't mean we won't have some pretty things to look at while we wait. In fact if you direct your gaze down below you will be able to see all of those variant Steelbook covers for The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt. Call Of Duty: Advanced Warfare Zombies Trades Spacey For Other Names
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Friday, 19th of December 2014 - 08:00 PM ]
Activision teases Call Of Duty: Advanced Warfare Exo Zombies more but gives a bit of insight as to what is going on in the latest trailer One of the big draws for Call Of Duty: Advanced Warfare was Kevin Spacey and how amazing the performance he gave ended up being. The gameplay was just about as amazing as the performance for those who really care about the gameplay over how many huge celebrities that can be crammed into the narrative. For those of you who care about the actors and zombies then do we have a great tease from Activision and Sledgehammer again for Call Of Duty: Advanced Warfare Exo Zombies. We have four times the names and another short glimpse at that gameplay stuff…for those that care about that again. Read More...

by David 'Hades' Becker [ Wednesday, 17th of December 2014 - 08:00 PM ]
We have a new interactive trailer for Dying Light that allows you to wade through the zombie hordes way before release date from your PC If you can't wait until January to play a mission for Dying Light then you are a bit in luck. While you will not be picking up a controller or controlling the main character directly, Techland and Warner Bros. are hooking us up with a cool interactive trailer to play through. We've seen these many times over in the past so it isn't anything new as far as marketing but it does let us choose our own adventure in Dying Light right now for one mission. Read More...

The Day/Night Cycle Of Dying Light Is Intense
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Tuesday, 16th of December 2014 - 10:00 PM ]
A new trailer for Dying Light shows off the vast differences between playing the game during the day and night For Dying Light there have been two huge things mentioned as selling points time and time again. This first being the Free Running that Techland has looked to perfect in the game and the second being that of how viscous the Day/Night cycle will make the game. You know, the whole zombies getting crazier, stronger, faster, and smarter once the sun goes down in Harran. Just in case Techland and Warner Bros. Read More...

Your First Intro Into Dying Light
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Friday, 12th of December 2014 - 06:00 PM ]
The intro cinematic for Dying Light has been released from Techland and Warner Bros. Let's spoil that opening first few minutes Earlier in the week we were given the story trailer for Dying Light and its aim was supposedly to help us all understand what is going on in the game's story mode. It actually added many more questions than answers which is usually a good thing but it still feels like Techland and Warner Bros. are keeping it all coy about what we will truly be experiencing when Dying Light launches. At least in the way of story. Read More...

We Had A Quiet God Of War Announcement Happen Recently
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Thursday, 11th of December 2014 - 08:00 PM ]
During the God Of War retrospective panel at the PlayStation Experience Cory Barlog let loose that a new title was in the works, only very quietly Looks like there is a new God Of War title in the works according to Cory Barlog. During the PlayStation Experience there was a nifty panel that took place in the form of a God Of War retrospective. Pretty much it was a celebration and fun event for all fans of the franchise to relive the fun and talk to some of the minds behind the famed franchise. I unfortunately missed out on it while I was previewing the father of God Of War's new IP Drawn To Death. Read More...

PlayStation Experience Hands On — Bloodborne
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Thursday, 11th of December 2014 - 06:00 PM ]
While At The PlayStation Experience I Was Able To See Bloodborne In A More Intimate Setting Than Just A Trailer. I Gave The Game A Go Via Two Different Hunters To Make Sure I Didn't Miss Anything… Up until the PlayStation Experience my time with Bloodborne has been only in the way of trailers or watching one of the developers try to show off the game. If you've been following my drivel since Bloodborne was announced then you will know that I have been nothing but unenthused about the game. That is why I decided to give it the old college try and see if this PS4 exclusive was going to be able to capture my love with actual hands on. Read More...

Time To Wrap Up That Batman: Arkham Knight Trailer
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Tuesday, 9th of December 2014 - 06:00 PM ]
Part three of the Batman: Arkham Knight trailer trilogy was shown off at the PlayStation Experience thus concluding the Ace Chemicals infiltration Batman: Arkham Knight was not playable at the PlayStation Experience over last weekend, which was a sad thing, but that didn't stop Rocksteady and Warner Bros. from showing off some amazing footage as well as announce the PS4 exclusive DLC that makes me even more excited to get the game next year. Why they felt that they had to release the trailer in three parts is still an open question from me but someone thought it would be a great idea. Read More...

by David 'Hades' Becker [ Saturday, 6th of December 2014 - 12:00 AM ]
A Lot Has Gone On This Week. Here's A Recap Of What We Covered In Video Games While technically this posting is a wrap up for what happened in the work week for video games, there is so much going on over the weekend that I'm going to use it for a springboard to cover The Game Awards and the PlayStation Experience that will be kicking off shortly after you have finished reading what I am typing here. You may also have a bit of time to dig into some of the other gaming news we've had on the site over the week as well. If nothing else you can at least read through our review for Game Of Thrones — Iron From Ice while waiting or getting set up to watch the re-broadcasts of whatever you may want to see this weekend.
